Macaroon

Hi! My name is Macaroon (or Mac for short). I am a smart and sweet cookie! I am only around 8-9 weeks old, so I am learning the basics (potty training & proper leash etiquette). I enjoy cuddles, car rides, and chasing my human-foster brothers around the yard. Macaroon will make an incredible addition to anyone's family. She is a Rez Dog, so her breed is anyone's guess: Aussie/Husky/Heeler/Corgi/McNab. She currently weighs only 9 lbs. but she is slightly underweight. She will most likely be between 50-75 lbs. once fully grown. Adoption fee for Macaroon is $350.00. The adoption fee includes: spay (or spay deposit), Age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormer, microchip, food to start her off on, and some of her personal items (i.e. bed, blanket, toys, etc.). Macaroon is currently in a foster home in Montana but can be transporter to an adopter out of state, as we have affiliated foster homes in Oregon & Washington. If you are interested in Macaroon, please email: TheRoadLessTraveledAWF@gmail.com Please allow us 48-72 hours to respond. We will email you an application, as our website is currently under construction. We can schedule a meet & greet, once the application has been filled out & approved.

Lady K

Meet our sweet girl, Lady K - she is a very loving, medium-higher energy Lab. Lady is incredibly sweet but active kind of girl. She walks well on the leash and is crate trained. She was surrendered to us by a breeder - she is an AKC English Labrador Retriever. We don't know the back story but she hasn't been bred - we think she may have been sold as a hunting dog but was not having it. Lady absolutely loves people and other dogs. Lady plays great with all dogs! And she is extremely loving and affectionate to people. She is a 2 year old English Lab - so shorter and stockier build than their American Lab counterparts - and weighs about 65lbs. She plays with toys and loves a good snuggle blanket or bed. She knows her name and is house trained. She is excited to go on her walks and play with other dogs every day. She is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $395. Please complete the application on this link: https://forms.gle/iCDkiVT5FwJYhezn8 Or email ular.sandra@gmail.com for an application.

Red

Meet Red! About 8 weeks old 5 Pounds Male Medium mixed breed Hi my name is Red and my foster moms like to call me human’s best friend! I am fostered with my 2 siblings, 2 resident older dogs and 2 resident older cats. I love all people and especially love to make my foster moms happy. I am great with kids of all ages and love other dogs no matter their size. Even though I am the smallest of my siblings, I was the first to try to play with my 70lb foster sister and am constantly trying to egg her on. I'm interested in cats, but my foster mom’s cats aren’t super interested in me. I am very cautious when I walk up to them, so I should be pretty good with cats in the future. I'm super attentive to my foster moms and always want to make them happy. I am always looking at their eyes for the next command and love cuddling in a blanket on the couch. I love playing with squeaky stuffed toys and rubbery toys to help with my teething. I'm a quick learner too! I was the first of my siblings to walk into the crate for a nap and the first to use a potty pad outside of my play pen. I am even starting to learn commands like “No” and “Come”. I have started house training and am doing pretty well. I started whining at the front door when I need to poop and am also getting better at using potty pads inside when I need to pee. I still need more training but am doing better each day. I sleep in a play pen through the night and have started crate training on naps during the day. I have even started walking into the crate and putting myself to sleep at nap time! I hate missing out on things though, so sometimes I push myself to not take any naps. I’m usually following my foster moms around and exploring the world, but I never stray too far from them. I love running around with my siblings or just hanging out on the couch while my foster moms watch TV. If you are looking for an adorable and attentive puppy to bring into your house, contact Safe Haven about me. I'm so excited to meet you. Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process. Please email adopt@safehavendogsIL.org for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant (adopter) for any reason.

Sandie

This is Sandi. She is a young, spayed, beautiful long haired gray and white girl. The vet thinks her to be 1-2 years old. Sandi was abandoned and was left to fend for herself outside. She also had a very infected foot. We found out she had a broken toe, so her toe nail curled up through her pad and out the top of her paw. That one toe had to be declawed. Sandi is a loving, sweet, wonderful, cuddling, shoulder snuggling, talkative, head butting, kitty kissing, hug giving, attention needy girl. She needs to be with her people. Sandi needs a home that will lavish her with all the love she needs, and she does need lots of love. She will jump onto your shoulder and stay there. She also likes to lay on your chest and cuddle. Sandi is an indoor girl only. She doesn't mind calm dogs or other kitties. She is playful and thrives on human interactions. Sandi does not like to be carried around hanging, with your arms around her tummy. She has been vaccinated twice, but will need a third round. She's been wormed and has been treated with Revolution Plus. https://arfsgc.com/cat-adoption-application/

Lexus

Lexus is a courtesy post for another rescue who took her in after she was abandoned and then starved in a boarding facility by another rescue. She loves to play ball and would make a good only dog or good with other dogs without toys in the home. She’s a great girl and has a huge following of people trying to get her the home she deserves. The current rescue took on her medical and got it all completed so she can get her forever! As of now due to her size they want her to be with older children. She’s currently in a board and train program and she’s doing wonderfully.

Arrow and Kapule

Aloha! Meet Arrow and Kapule- two beautiful juvenile cats from Kauai, Hawaii! These strikingly lovely siblings were found on a beach on the eastern coast of Kauai and are learning to adapt to and enjoy indoor living in the Pacific Northwest. They have learned to play with lots of different toys and to ask for human affection. They are very calm, laid-back, and gentle-spirited. While still a bit shy and easily startled, they are curious to engage with their humans and the resident cat. Both Arrow and Kapule enjoy sleeping at the foot of the bed and purring with contentment. This brother and sister pair are about 11 months old. Arrow and Kapule are tranquil, very bonded, and need to be adopted together. Both eat well and have perfect litterbox habits. What Arrow and Kapule are looking for in a home: - They need a home with a family who is patient and kind to continue to guide them into adjusting to indoor life. - They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair. - They need to live indoors only. - They are curious about other cats. - They have no known history with dogs. - They have no known history with children and it is recommended that they go to a home with a calm environment. All Alley Cat Projects cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Thank you for your interest in Arrow and Kapule! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt them by filling out this questionnaire: https://bit.ly/ACPAdoptionForm Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match.
