RUBY

Meet Ruby! She was surrendered to us because she was a little too interested in smaller livestock, and for their well being she was brought back. She was a pup from a shelter dog who was pregnant when she was brought in! Her mom is a Border Collie, not sure what dad is but we're guessing a heeler mix. Ruby is 9 months old, fully vetted and is sweet as a peach! Ruby is dog picky and isn't a fan of smaller children. She is also a little too interested in cats and would probably be best if she went into a home without any kitties. Ruby would be fine to have around larger livestock such as cows and horses. She could use some work on leash manners and basic commands but she's so eager to please training her should be a breeze! If you're interested in Ruby, contact the Humane Society of the Ochocos today!

Camembert

Oh, hello there, fellow adventurers of the world! ? You're about to hear the tail-wagging, paw-some tale of yours truly, Camembert! ? I know people have been barking at the door to hear my story, and I'm here to wag my tail and share the puppy secrets of how this young pup handled motherhood with style, sass, and a whole lot of love! ?? My story starts as a young, homeless stray, wandering the streets with no place to call home. ? Then, fate stepped in, or rather, I stumbled upon a kind-hearted family who took me in with open arms and tried to find my former owners. ? What they didn't know was I was about to become a mom! Can you imagine still being a puppy yourself and just starting to figure out the world, when suddenly...bam! You become a mom! ? Yep, you read that right. Little ol' me, still learning the ropes of fetch and treat-time etiquette, was thrown headfirst into the whirlwind adventure of puppy parenthood. ?? It wasn't easy being a young, homeless mom, but their generosity made all the difference. Not only did they give me a safe place to give birth but they helped land me with this pawsome rescue and my foster family! ? My foster family has shown me what it feels like to be part of a loving family, something I never had before. ? They taught me that family isn't just about blood; it's about the bonds we share and the love we give. ?? Raising my adorable mini-me's was a rollercoaster ride of puppy antics and heart-melting moments. ??? From teaching them the art of squirrel-chasing to orchestrating epic naptime cuddle parties, I wore many hats (or should I say, collars) as a young momma. ? Now that my mini-me's have spread their wings and are about to embark on their own adventures, I'm filled with gratitude for everyone who has changed my life and the lives of my little ones for the better. ?? And you know what the best part is? I still have one final family to meet, and they are going to be my forever! ??? That's right, after all the puppy shenanigans and adventures, I'm ready to find my perfect match, a family who will cherish me like the treasure I am. ? Now that you know my story, it is time to introduce myself properly. I'm Camembert, a twelve-month-old female Great Pyrenees mix with a heart as big as my fluffy coat! ??? My fluffy fur and soulful eyes are just a bonus to my winning personality! Being a Great Pyrenees mix, I've got all the charm and loyalty of my breed, with a dash of playful mischief thrown in for good measure. ? I'm at that perfect age where I've got the energy to keep up with adventures but also know how to appreciate a good nap in the sun. ?? When I first arrived at my foster home, I had my paws full with my adorable puppies. ?? It took me a little time to get used to everything, but once I started feeling better and my puppies were weaned, I got the chance to meet some other dogs! ? At first, I was like, "Whoa, new furballs on the block!" But then I realized they were pretty chill, and we started sniffing each other out (literally and figuratively). ? After a few cautious sniffs and tail wags, we hit it off! Now, we're like the paw-fect play squad, chasing each other around the yard and just having some good ole fun! Now, onto the feline fiesta! Cats? Psh, they're like my purr-fect partners in crime. We've even done the classic nose boop greeting, establishing our cool cat-dog alliance. ??And kids? Oh, they're my favorite! ?? I'm super calm and loving around them, always ready for some gentle cuddles and playtime. They think I'm the bomb, and honestly, who can blame them? ?? Meeting new people, though? Whew, that's been a bit nerve-wracking. ? I didn't have much human contact before, so it's all new to me. But I'm getting better, especially with patient and gentle folks. Men can make me a tad more nervous, but I'm learning that most of them are just big softies at heart. ? As far as jumping on people goes, I'm usually a model citizen, keeping all four paws firmly on the ground. ? There was this one time when my foster human came home, and I was so over-the-moon happy that I couldn't resist a little vertical celebration. ? I mean, who can blame a pup for wanting to express their joy with some gravity-defying moves, right? The cool thing about all this was they were so thrilled to see me so happy and didn't even mind. I think they secretly enjoyed the impromptu flying doggo welcome but I digress. As for my lifestyle preferences, I'm like a cautious explorer meets a laid-back lounge lizard. New places make me a bit jittery but give me some time to sniff around and take note of my territory and I'm ready to strut my stuff with confidence. Oh, and structure? Yeah, I'm all about that schedule life until I've checked out every nook and cranny. As far as car rides go.....Eh, not my favorite start to an adventure, but hey, with a little treat bribery, I'll hop into that rolling metal box they call a car. Once I'm settled, I turn into the canine version of a laid-back traveler—just chilling and enjoying the passing scenery, maybe contemplating the meaning of life (or just sniffing the breeze). I'm a work in progress when it comes to walks. I'm learning to master the art of not getting tangled up like a pup-sized pretzel in the leash. Hiking? Sounds intriguing! I've got my eyes on those hills, and I'm pretty sure I'll conquer them like a furry mountaineer once I've got my paws in the right gear. As far as getting wet goes....Let's just say I'm more of a land-loving pooch for now. But who knows, maybe I'll surprise myself with a sudden love for doggy paddle adventures. House manners? Oh, you're in for a treat! ? First off, would I thrive in an apartment? Possibly, especially if my human companion is up for some epic walkies and playtime adventures! ????? Now, potty training? Nailed it. No accidents on my watch; I'm the queen of holding it in like a pro! ? As for kennel training, well, let's just say I prefer the open floor plan lifestyle. Who needs a crate when you've got the whole house to strut your stuff? ?? And chewing on things? Nah, I leave that to the teething puppies. I've got my chew toys on speed dial! ?? And barking? Only when I sense my pups might be in 'pawdicament'! Gotta keep the parenting game strong, you know? ?? As for having free roam of the house, my foster humans trust me with the keys to the kingdom. Just don't be surprised if you catch me lounging on the comfiest couch or snuggling up in the sunniest spot. And that, my dear humans, is the tale of Camembert, the twelve-month-old wonder pup with a heart as big as her fluffy coat! ?? From navigating puppy parenthood like a pro to charming her way into the hearts of humans and furry friends alike, it's been quite the adventure. So, if you're looking for a furry companion who's equal parts playful mischief and cuddle buddy extraordinaire, I hope you will consider me. I may be young, but I've got a whole lot of love and laughter to share, and I'm ready to embark on the next chapter of my adventure with my forever family by my side. ??? Who's ready to join me in a lifetime of tail-wagging fun? ? Pickup Location: Skiatook, OK ? Adoption App: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3
