Marigold

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Marigold was dumped on a dead-end road. Never understand how people can take a dog from a home and expect them to survive alone in the country, it is a slow death for them trying to survive. It appears that she has had pups, so she is a mature female. Marigold was able to find a farmhouse with caring people. She is a somewhat shy girl but soon will warm up to people. She has no obedience training but is learning quickly. Sammy

Meet Sammy!  He's an adorable 7 year old Beagle/Lab mix.  In 2018, Sammy graduated from CPAA's Hounds of Prison Education (HOPE) training and rehabilitation program for rescued dogs at the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill, PA, and was adopted that same year. Unfortunately, he was recently returned to us because his owner let her adult son and his dog move in with her, and Sammy did not get along with her son's dog. Sammy was told to leave, so now he is in search of a forever home that WILL BE be committed to him for the rest of his life.   Sammy's a great, loving dog.  He just needs to be an only dog!  BUT, he does fine with cats, as you can see in the above photo.  He truly is a couch potato and would love a safe, loving, quiet place to land to live out the rest of his retirement years! Sammy is SO adorable, and comes with FREE lifetime training support with our HOPE trainer.   As such, only homes within a 40 mile radius of Harrisburg will be considered. Samy is neutered, healthy, and up to date on all vet care.   To apply to adopt Sammy, go to https://centralpaanimalalliance.org/apply-to-adopt.

Sunny

ADOPT SUNNY! He’d be a member of Mensa if cats were allowed. Sunny is Einstein smart, practices the scientific method on a regular basis and has the gift of ADHD. He has a fun and mischievous personality, comes highly equipped with antics, and loads of confidence once he gets comfortable. He is very responsive to his name and curious about anything and everything, which often leads him into being a very cute troublemaker. He also has a very sweet side and loves affection. He needs someone who can give him a lot of activity and play. He loves to explore, problem solve and have things to do. He would probably be a good candidate to harness/leash train. He’s an indoor cat, but would love safe supervised outside time. He currently lives with other cats, but will pick on some of them if he gets bored. He doesn’t mind the dachshund. Sunny truly is an entertaining, responsive, and incredibly intelligent cat. He was rescued from off the streets. He’s looking for his forever buddy, who can give him lots of enrichment in his environment and be able to keep up with this fun guy! Neutered Vaccinated Dewormed Microchipped 3 yrs. old. $150 adoption fee. Will travel for right home. *Text 801-656- 5466 for faster response.

Tina

Tina is an absolute sweetheart! Her bunny ears are her antennas to her heart. She loves her human and can be considered a semi-velcro jumping bean. She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle. She is young so still loves to play with her fur sisters too. She is house and crate trained but would prefer to not spend extended hours crated. She is very dog friendly, friendly with all people but can be excitable so will do best with 12 years and up or someone willing to work with her excitement. She knows a couple of commands. Up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed and ready to meet her forever family! She is fostered with one of her female littermates (Tiffany, also pictured) who she is pretty attached to. If interested in adopting together they make a very amusing pair. To apply to adopt, visit rockabullyaf.org or email us for additional information to rockabullyaf@hotmail.com *out of state adopters: there is an additional fee for transport. Bear Bear

Meet Bear Bear! Bear Bear has been with us since 2020 but we know his perfect family is out there. Bear Bear came to us after another rescue contacted us in need of help. We helped trapped Bear Bear in the mountains of WV and he went to this other rescue. After about a week, they contacted us again. Bear Bear was showing extreme signs of aggression and they made the decision to euthanize him, but wanted our professional dog trainer (and rescue president) to do so to make it more humane. When she got there, she decided that Bear Bear deserved another chance and brought him back to our rescue where he has since blossomed with a lot of love and patience. It was apparent he had suffered extreme abuse at the hands of people, and that his aggression was simply due to that trauma. He has turned into the most loving and loyal companion and is just an all around amazing dog. He does need a family that is willing to give him space at first and time to trust. Once he knows you are safe and starts to love you, it is the most amazing experience. He couldn't be more loyal and the love he has to give is so special since you know you earned it. He does great with other dogs and has even been around our rescue chicken with no problems. He loves his time outside and enjoys going on walks. If you are interested in adopting Bear Bear, please fill out our attached adoption application. For any questions, please send us an inquiry via Petfinder.
