Sylvester

MEET SYLVESTER (Descriptor: Athletic) This stunning ~1.75 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix is 58 lbs of fun. He is a loving and lovable guy who will bond to his person(s) quickly then follow you around with his big brown and part-blue puppy dog eyes. Sylvester has an amazing 'sit,' he's nailed 'down,' and is close on 'drop it' (which is good because he loves to pick up things he shouldn't, see more below) and is very treat motivated and trainable. Sylvester loves other dogs. He takes cues well and will leave a dog alone who doesn't want to play. Sylvester has lived successfully with dogs of all sexes and sizes, cats and finds sheep, goats, and horses to be fascinating. He does well in the car, is perfectly house broken, and is crate trained, although he would much prefer to sleep with you. He takes his job of man-of-the-house seriously and will let you know when a package is being delivered or the garbage is being carted off. He is also willing to fend off any and all bumps in the night, but settles quickly after the danger has passed. Sylvester loves his chew toys and hasn't taken his habit to shoes or furniture. He is still a young dog with lots of get-up-and-go, so an active home or one with a fenced yard and non-destructible toys would be ideal for his activity level. He would also enjoy being your running partner (if that's your thing), and he has the most adorable gait. He is working on not jumping on people when he meets them, but his love for life gets the better of him at times. Sylvester turns into a playful puppy when he's happy and uses his mouth to play. He sometimes likes to pick up objects he finds (like plastic bits, water bottle caps, and small childrens' toys). Because of these behaviors, Sylvester should go to a home with children over the age of 10. Sylvester's got the skills to be a fabulous member of a loving home. We're hoping that he gets his happily ever after soon. His adoption donation fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for Sylvester by filling out our online application, which is found at www.tarashouse.org. Please email info@tarashouse.net with any questions.

Clover, Toasty and Maple

These three sweethearts have been looking for their forever home for a long time. They arrived when they were just babies a year ago. Their mother had been found pregnant in a sump, luckily we were able to rescue her before she gave birth. The mom and 2 brothers have found homes but these sweet girls are still looking. They are all shy but warm up quickly and love pets! They are curious and active too going through several cardboard playhouses. They are now a year old and are spayed. We are hoping someone can adopt them all because they are so close but most importantly we want them to find forever homes so the don't continue to live their lives in a shelter. Maple has beautiful blue eyes in a raccoon mask and helicopter ears! Toasty is white with ears and feet tipped in dark brown. Clover is all white with a little tan and blue eyes. If you are interested in adopting these girls please submit an application directly on our website.

Casey

Casey is a 15 year old male cat whose senior owner can no longer care for him. He is a sweet cat that came from a loving home and is now being cared for by friends of his owner. Casey needs a home where they will give him the time he needs to acclimate. He will snuggle once he gets used to you. As a kitten, he had to have his hind leg amputated and he gets along on three. He has developed arthritis so needs special care when picking him up. Due to his age, it would be best to find him a quiet home with no other pets or young children and a one floor living situation. Please consider giving Casey a good home for the rest of his years. He is in the rehoming program of Blue Sky Rescue of MN, a 501c3 rescue that screens all applicants. Please give this poor boy a peaceful loving home to spend the rest of his life.

Thomas

Meet Thomas. He got dumped at our sanctuary and seems sad and unhappy to be there. We think he misses his home. So sad. He's a total lovebug and never meets a stranger. We've had him neutered and vaccinated, but now he needs a home of his own. He doesn't seem to enjoy being in the sanctuary with the other cats. He's not making friends. We think he would be happier in a home without any other cats. He's available anywhere within a 4 hour drive of Lufkin, TX (we'll make plans to meet up) or, if you are a personal friend or family member of Mission Possible, we'll arrange transportation to get him to you anywhere in the lower 48 United States. Let us know if you'd like to meet Thomas. We'll send you our adoption questionnaire to get started. Thomas thanks you.

Rue

Who has two big ears and is ready for her forever home? It’s Rue! Rue is an adorable and lively 4 year old pit mix. What is she mixed with? Welp, judging by her ears, it just might be a rabbit...or kangaroo! And she has the energy to match! A fun loving girl, Rue came to us after getting sick at the county shelter and finding herself on the euthanasia list for a doggy cold. Because of her fun-loving, sweet spirit, she was a volunteer favorite at the shelter, and we just couldn’t let that be the end of her story. Since coming to the rescue, Rue has been working on learning basic training commands, is house broken, plays well with dogs, and LOVES to play with toys! Rue would do best in an active home that can commit to daily walks, outings, and so much love. Rue adores car rides and is ready to join you on your next big adventure. Rue’s adoption fee includes a completed veterinary exam, vaccines, spay, microchip and of course those adorable ears! Apply here to come meet this girl:https://lovethemallrescue.org/rue She'll have your heart melted in no time!
