Raggedy Ann

*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE STARTING WEDNESDAY 4/24 *** Meet little miss Raggedy Ann who came to us with her brother Andy as wee little pups. Raggedy Ann is definitely the leader in the brother sister duo. She likes adventure and one of her favorite pastimes is to play "keep away" with Andy. While she is a natural born leader, she is very respectful of the elder dogs in her foster home. She loves to run and play for hours in the meadow but once her energy runs out, she is quick to let you know she is ready for her meal and a nap. Both she and Andy like to "talk" when we return home and sing in beautiful harmony. They both get soooo excited to come out and run and play with the pack. Raggedy Ann has learned so much while in her foster home. She comes when you call her or whistle and was fantastic at bath time. She is still perfecting her potty training and has been great in her crate. Their favorite toys have been a kong stuffed pig and a tug of war rope ball.

The extra donation will go towards another Saving Grace dog in need of heartworm treatment that is currently not sponsored. Jolie, translates to "pretty in French and this little beauty is just that! She is the Angelina Jolie of puppies - gorgeous, smart, and confident. At first glance, you would describe her color as black but on closer inspection you can see she is a deep, dark rich chocolate brown like a brunette! If you want to bring laughs and love into your life, this pretty girl is the one! She is very much a puppy with her silly, goofy ways but is such a good girl. She takes direction and correction from the older house dogs with grace and ease. She loves tossing her toys around and cuddling her stuffed baby frog. She might knock things over, because she can be clumsy, though hasn't chewed on anything other than her benebone. Slippers though are a prize for her (actually all dogs seem to go those!), so best to tuck away. She has definitely gotten the hang of potty training in the short time she has been with a foster. She knows the command down which she sometimes combines with sit and is ready to learn more! When walking, if you stop to chat, she will politely sit down and wait. Jolie loves a car ride and will be a great companion for road trips or an afternoon at a local brewery soaking up attention from her many admirers. Jolie greets you in the morning with hugs and kisses. Can't think of a better way to start your day. This girl will put a smile on your face and have you laughing your cares away!

She had a great time playing with her siblings and is always down for a puppy wrestle match. She is totally food motivated, and should be easy to train. She'll happily follow you outside to do her business, but is still working on completely mastering potty training. She's still trying to figure out the whole "crate thing, but is making huge strides in her training everyday! She did great for bath time and getting her nails trimmed. Orion is a 3 year old heeler mix who weighs roughly 34 pounds. He loves to play outside with his human companion. Fetch with any sort of ball is by far his favorite game to play! He is very energetic and is preferable to the outdoors when given the option. As a heeler, he would do best in a home without toddlers and with plenty of space and land to play around on. Orion has made plenty of other pet friends here, but we always recommend bringing in your pet from home for him to meet to be sure that they are a good match! His adoption fee is $95. Felicia 55

Felicia is a fantastic kitty! She has a great personality, and even though she like things on her terms and can be a little spicy at times, her terms aren't hard to meet. She likes attention, back scratches, and some love... and then wants her space. She'd likely do best in a quieter home and will need some time to adjust to her new surroundings. She came from a large group seized from poor, crowded living conditions. Felicia has been exposed to Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but currently tested negative for both. She should be isolated from other cats until the adoptive family follows up with their veterinarian for guidance on re-testing options. Felicia came to TCHS from Crosby and we were able to fine a spay scar that would indicate that she had a previous owner. So far, we've been unable to reunite her with her previous owner. Hopefully she'll find a new fur-ever home soon to call her very own! Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, de-worming, any medical procedures and general care. Deposits may be placed on adoptable animals by calling 320-252-0896.

Awesome Augie

*****If you are interested in having Awesome Augie be a part of your family and heart, please copy/paste the following link into your browser for an application. HOWEVER, if you are not certain you are ready for a new puppy and all family members are not on board, please do NOT proceed to this step. www.tinyurl.com/adopt-shpr Hello - my name is Augie, and now they are calling me Awesome. I hope that is a good thing. I think it is. My brothers and I came in to a shelter after we were found in a church yard and our mom was nowhere around. A kind lady scooped us up and took us to a shelter, where the people were very nice. They gave us yummy food, and some shots (ouch!), and some other medicines that they said would be good for us. The most fun part about being there was they would hold and cuddle lus, and give us lots of smooches on the nose. I really liked the people, but they all say there is something out there called a "family". They say we can have a home and our very own people and lots of dog cookies and toys to play with and a soft bed to sleep on every night and we'll never have to be cold or hungry ever again. Some of my brothers have already left for their homes and I hope there is one out there for me too. I'm a good puppy, and I promise I will love my person with my whole heart. So, I'm ready for you to find me!!! Little Augie is a snuggly, cuddly, butterball puppy with the prettiest face. He is going to be just as awesome as a grown up dog as he is now. We expect him to be a medium sized dog when grown - around 40-50 lbs. Right now, he is about 10-11 weeks old and weighs close to 10 lbs. He is up to date on his vaccines, dewormings and preventatives. He is also microchipped. If you think you are the person Augie is looking for, please copy/paste the following link into your browser for an application. His adoption fee is $300. www.tinyurl.com/adopt-shpr

Sheba

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sheba is guessed to be around 6 years old. She absolutely adores people and can't get enough attention! She's good with other dogs who are submissive and give her space. She encountered kittens and paid them no attention. She also doesn't understand her size so small animals should steer clear. She is a certified fence jumper! She can clear a 6' vinyl fence! What an athlete, this girl is! Not to worry, she can easily be walked on a leash or put out on a zipline as long as she isn't left alone. She is a good girl in the home alone if you need to run errands! She has been bounced around from home to home and in and out of shelters where she shuts down. We found her a temporary foster with moments left to get her safe and now she desperately needs a forever family! This girl can't seem to catch a break and she needs her very own HERO! Are you going to be that HERO for her?
