Lonzo is the steady, somewhat serious one of his litter and hes a big cuddly teddy bear. This solid puppy loves to play and wrestle with his siblings but is more watchful and curious of all that goes on around him. Hes also adventurous and not afraid to go off exploring on his own. Unless hes sleeping. Which he does a LOT. Lonzo is really enjoying puppy life and we know you will too. Lonzo is sure to be a brave and loyal friend to whomever is lucky enough to adopt him. Lonzo has the softest brown coat, with a black snout, black eyebrows, and dark blue eyes that will surprise you every time they catch the light. This puppy has a lot of dark features, so that flash of blue will definitely make you look twice. Lonzo has the cutest white dot of fur on top of his nose, and a white stripe down his chin an easy way to distinguish him from his other brown siblings. Lonzos soft floppy ears are also tipped in black and you will love to watch them as he bounces along in his puppy prance. His chest is white with a brown dot in the center a literal bullseye for scratches and belly rubs, both of which he cant resist. You are sure to be entertained by all of Lonzos classic puppy antics. He loves to jump and play with all eight (8!) of his siblings and would do well in a house with other dogs, or as the sole star of your attention. This litter was born in care, and Lonzo is one of the three boys of this litter (that also has six girls). Lonzo is currently just 5 weeks old and only a few pounds, and we think he may be a Black Mouth Cur/Boxer mix, but with rescue its always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. Lonzo is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Scuttle is 10 weeks and weighs 6.5lbs He will be a small to medium breed dog Scuttle is pretty smart for his age and loves to play with his brothers! He was scared of his huge foster brother Max in the beginning but now he bosses him around and gets him to play chase! He loves being with people and cuddling. He is still a baby and learning not to nibble when cuddling. He loves playing chase and sliding under things to make it harder for his brothers to catch him! He is still learning how to go to the bathroom outside and is great at sleeping through the night in the pen with his brothers!

Available for adoption or foster to adopt! Meet Kumar! Positives: Kumar is an absolute sweetheart and such a gentleman. He has a mellow demeanour for a husky. He bonds well with his humans, is safe to handle, and is always looking for their affection and attention. His leash walking skills are great and is learning to walk with confidence. He appears to be the type of dog that will stick by your side and be that typical “velcro dog” as he was with his previous owner. He’s lived/been kennelled with other dogs before and did well. We think he would do well in a home with another dog or cat as he seems to lean on their confidence. We also find that he is fairly submissive and passive. Although he is calm, we still think he would do well in an active home where he can spend time outdoors. Things he needs support on: Kumar is still learning to adjust to his new life and will need time to decompress. He’s coming into his own and will need a family who can give him time and patience. He’s an active breed and would do best in a home who is active while providing the mental and physical stimulation he needs. Meet Faith, a sweet, loving fur, baby, ready for her forever home she walks well on a leash, making strolls a pleasant experience for both her and her human friends. She is good with kids, displaying a gentle and friendly nature around the little ones. Faith generally gets along with other dogs, but it’s advisable to monitor her during outdoor playtime as she can be a bit exuberant. She does better with dogs her size or larger. Faith is a great travel buddy showing good behavior in the car during journeys she will make a great travel companion. She would also be great for short drives like picking up the kids from school, or picking up takeout. Faith is great with other people showcasing a friendly and approachable demeanor. She really loves humans and prefers not to be left alone and is currently learning how to be in a crate. She loves, cuddling and affection, and will make a great movie night buddy. Faith would do better in a home with a yard as she has a higher energy level to run and play, so maybe a more active family. She knows to sit and is learning other commands currently. She loves Kongs and bones, and loves sleeping near her humans. She would do great with a family where someone works from home or with another dog for company. Pusspuss is a very sweet and shy girl. She has an adorable freckle on her nose and is about 9 years old. Her adoptive family is moving overseas at the end of May and devastated not being able to take her with them. Pusspuss is a survivor having had a tough early life. She was a COVID rescue during the spring 2020. One day she saw the front door open and ran to the 2nd floor, choosing my friend’s home as her safe place and even if it was already shared with a loving lab Lorenzo, and fun Quattro. Pusspuss would do better in a home without kids but is ok with amicable dogs and cats. All she needs is love, feeling safe and gentleness. Pusspuss is fully vaccinated and has been spayed. She can be (but does not have to be) adopted with her 'brother' Quattro. NOTE 1: Spays, neuters, first vaccinations and vet checks are included in the adoption fee. NOTE 2: Because a young kitten needs feline companionship, it is the policy of Cat Rescue Network that kittens 6 months or younger be adopted out in pairs unless there is another kitten or young cat already in the home. Meet Priest, a friendly and handsome 2 1/2 year old Alaskan Malamute and Siberian Husky mix. He weighs 42 lbs and is neutered and up to date on preventatives. Upon arrival, Priest was shy, but after settling in and receiving love and attention, he is now a gentle and loving boy who enjoys his daily routines and being petted. Priest is great with cats, but can be selective with the dogs he wants to be friends with. Also, he needs a chicken-free home. Due to past experiences, we recommend that he goes to a home with no young children. Priest is a fantastic leash walker and loves going for walks. You can meet him at the City of Waverly Animal Shelter during regular business hours Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, and on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 AM to 1 PM. If you are unable to visit during regular business hours, you can make an appointment to meet him between 4:30 PM to 6 PM on Monday and Friday, and between 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
