Guinness

Guinness is 12 pounds of forgiveness. He could not see when he arrived at the Martinez shelter and he had colonies of fleas living under years of matted hair (check out that last pic of him). His first two years of life have been nothing but torment. He is loving and snuggly and as far as we can tell, housebroken. He gets along well with all dogs and humans, not sure about kids and cats but he doesn’t have prey drive with other animals. He just wants a home, a lap, a life worth living.

Banzai

This adorable guy is Banzai! Banzai is an approximately 4-month old male Aussie/Hound mix who currently weighs 12 lbs. He will weigh around 30-40 lbs. as an adult. He was rescued from a neglectful situation. Looking for a new dog who's as smart as they are sweet? Meet Banzai, the super handsome Aussie mix who's ready to steal your heart! When the playtime, learning, and adventures are done for the day, Banzai is a cuddle bug and absolutely loves snuggling up in your lap for movie nights and snuggling up to sleep with you at night. Mojo

Our next transport date will be Saturday April 27th. Please see below for pick-up locations. We cannot do meet and greets with the puppies. The transport trip is hard and long and it's too long for a puppy to be in a vehicle if he had to come back to Texas. We do not take deposits. All adoption fees are paid in person at pick-up. MoJo is a friendly and affectionate male baby that loves to shower his human friends with kisses and snuggles. Don't be fooled by his gentle and sweet demeanor, though, because this playful pup has energy to spare! Whether it's chasing after a tennis ball or discovering new scents on a walk, Mojo is always eager to play and explore. This cute pooch is also content just hanging around the house and keeping you company. MoJo is good with other dogs, which means he would fit in well with a household that already has a canine companion. He is also independent and likes to explore, so he would do well with a family that can give him the time and attention he needs. Overall, MoJo is a sweet and loving pup who would make a wonderful addition to any family. If you're looking for a playful and affectionate companion, look no further than this baby! We know he will bring lots of love and joy into his forever home If you are interested in one of our dogs, please do not delay completing the application. There is always a high interest in our puppies and applications are processed for approvals as received when at all possible. Atlanta Texas Area Spay Neuter Project is a 501c3, proceeds go back to spaying and neutering dogs for low-income families in the Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana area and the care of puppies and dogs that we take in. If needed, we assist low-income families with emergency vet expenses for their current pets. All of our dogs will be located in Texas in foster care until adopted. We cannot guarantee breed. We do the best we can based on the appearance of the pup and the mother if she is known to us. We rarely know the father of the puppies and litters of puppies can have more than one father. In other words, the litter can be full of half siblings with different fathers for the puppies. Visit our Facebook page: Atlanta Texas Area Spay/Neuter Project

Junebug

Meet June, also affectionately known as Junebug, a stunning 1.5-year-old German Shepherd mix whose personality is as golden as her coat. At a lean 45 lbs, she's the ideal companion for anyone looking for big dog character in a size perfect for apartment or condo living. Junebug is the dream dog for those who love the idea of an active companion but live a more laid-back lifestyle. She might not be your morning jog partner, but she’s always up for leisurely walks and will happily binge-watch your favorite series by your side on the couch. Low-energy but full of love, June is all about the chill life. She's got her manners down pat—crate and leash trained, she’s neither barky nor jumpy, which makes her a courteous roommate and a polite walking buddy. Her recall is impeccable, a testament to her loyalty and intelligence. She's not one to wander; she’s too busy making sure you’re in sight, perhaps waiting for a cuddle or a treat (she loves both equally). Junebug is a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and all people. Gentle and snuggly, she’s the perfect Netflix companion, especially after a nice bath—which she adores, by the way (towel dry included). And for those interested in expanding their fur family, cat testing is available; she's likely just as eager to befriend a feline as she is to snuggle with her human pals. June's ideal home? It’s pretty simple: anywhere she can be loved and doted on. She’s a fantastic match for an individual or family living a quieter lifestyle—perhaps even a retiree looking for a loyal friend. She's as adaptable as she is sweet, ready to fit perfectly into her new home, whether it’s a bustling household or a calm nook in a smaller living space. If you're looking for a companion who embodies the best of both worlds—calm yet engaging, affectionate yet independent, and above all, incredibly loving—Junebug is waiting just for you. Why not come and meet her? She might just be the missing piece to your family puzzle. +++++++ ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://form.jotform.com/210515484620146 +++++++ Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved. Koda

Koda is a young husky at only a year old. He is not your typical guy though, he was a transfer from Tuscola county from a situation where he and many others were living outside and had very little human contact. The world is very confusing to him and he isn't certain yet how to be the common dog. We are thinking that he is going to have a great personality develop, but it will take an understanding family with good dog experience and a lot of patience. Please contact the shelter directly at 989-835-1877 press 4 to discuss Koda. He is neutered, vaccinated, Heartworm tested negative and microchipped.

Hazel

Hi My name is Hazel. I’m a young mixed breed dog that’s about one and a half years old. I stand 21 inches tall and I am about 40 lbs. I have the biggest heart you have ever seen. I do everything with my whole heart and then some. I walk good on my leash. I pull a bit from the start as I’m excited to get going, but I settle into the walk and do good. I also do good running beside you as well. I’m food motivated so training has been going well. I love to give hugs but my foster mom is teaching me to stay down and be gentle. Same as when I play, I have to remember to be gentle as I get so excited because I love to play with my foster sister. I saw a cat at the vet and it startled me a bit as I don’t know much about them. Chasing a ball is the bestest thing. I’m ok around little humans but my tail can get out of control when I see them. I’m not fond of my crate, but I’m trying to learn it’s my safe place. My favorite place is by your side, doing whatever you are doing, especially cuddling on the couch. I’m house trained as long as you let me out after I eat and when I wake up. I’m fully vaccinated and spayed. So if you want an energetic dog that will give you 110% in everything we do, then I’m your girl. Let’s meet and see how we get along. Adoption fee is $295. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed and current on vaccines. link to adoption application https://www.newhoperescue.org/adoption-application/
