Charlie 46

Meet Charlie. He has been a very good boy during his stay at TCHs. He arrived with a large group of cats and did well in their company. It is unknown if he's been around other pets or children. He can be a little shy at first, so gradual introductions over time and lots of patience and TLC are recommended to help him feel secure in his new home. Charlie is a sweet little honey who is hopeful he'll get a second chance at a good life! Come meet him today! Came from a large group seized from poor, crowded living conditions. Tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), which affects a cat's immune system. Due to this positive status, it's recommended he/she separated from other cats until the adoptive family follows up with their veterinarian for guidance. Keep indoors only. While some cats can have health complications from FeLV, many live long, happy lives. Has also been exposed to Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).

Kimbap Cafe A164060

Kimbap Cafe A164060 70 lb. Spayed Female, approx 2 years old - Cute, curly tail on this girl - Outside she’s content to do her own thing. She does occasional check ins with you - Likes pets and affection - Loves treats, takes them gently and will sit for them - Walks decent on a leash, sometimes stops to sniff and rarely pulls - Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros. Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids. Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. To meet them please go to the play yard in the back corner of the parking lot at DACC and a staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-3:30 BUT our adoptions are done 7 days a week from 10:30am -3:00pm. The last potential adopter must arrive before 3:00 pm so we have time to properly help you before closing. 7401 Chrysler Dr. Detroit, MI
