If you come and visit with this girl, she will steal your heart. She is well mannered and very affectionate. When she looks into your eyes you can see that she has so much love to give. This girl deserves a loving family who will treat her like family and give her love in return. Aloofa is a mature girl but not yet a senior. Hopefully she will have many more years to give love and get love. Please note Aloofa does have an old fracture injury to one of her back legs that has healed.
Aloofa is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Sweet and friendly Blue the Blue Heeler is coming to NJ from KY! Blue was sadly brought to a crowded shelter in KY because his owner could no longer afford food. He was very sad about this because he loved Blue so much, but he knew Blue deserves the best. He's an 11 month old, 37 lbs Blue Heeler. He is now in foster in KY and is waiting to head to NJ for an arrival date of Sunday 3/26.
Australian Cattle Dogs, also called Blue Heelers, are extremely alert, pleasant pups with keen intelligence and a fierce sense of loyalty. These faithful friends are not considered aggressive and can be an excellent fit for families with kids.
Blue will need a heeler savvy owner, or someone knowledgeable of the breed. He would love to find a home with perhaps another heeler mix so he can play all day in a fenced in back yard- their speed is incredible! They are working dogs, so they like to go through training and even agility training!
