**SENDING AN INQUIRY THROUGH PETFINDER ONLY IS NOT AN APPLICATION. SENDING AN INQUIRY MAY GO UNANSWERED DUE TO LIMITED TIME AND VOLUNTEERS. PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION BY GOING TO THE LINK PROVIDED. You will have to copy and paste the link into your browser. We are a foster-based rescue. You will need an appointment to meet the animal where they are being fostered, with an approved application. Home checks and vet references are required for all adopters. Please only apply if you can pass a home check. APPLICATION LINK TO COPY AND PASTE INTO YOUR BROWSER: http://www.redroseanimalrescue.org/application.asp *FENCED YARD IS REQUIRED MEET ATHENA! Athena is estimated to be between 3-5 years old. She is a German Shepherd female and weighs approximately 70lbs. She is black and tan in color, SOFT and seriously cute. Athena has had it pretty rough in life. Before she came into Rescue, we believe she had been an OUTSIDE only dog! She showed up with barely any fur on her body. She was suffering from a fungal and bacterial skin infection, and was very uncomfortable to say the least. Since coming into Rescue, her Fosters have showered her with unconditional love, and have shown her what indoor life can be like. Her fur has grown back, and she's so super soft! We cannot get over how lovely of a dog Athena really is! Her forever human will be SO LUCKY to have her. Athena is FULL of love and affection. She is incredibly elegant and smart. She is still learning that noses, paws, tongues, and bodies do not exactly belong on the counters, and she's really trying! Athena has a way of melting your heart immediately upon looking into her eyes, which helps her make sure you will follow through with whatever she is asking for! She LOVES to ride in the car (does great too!) and happy to be with you wherever you go. Athena is obsessive about balls. Her Foster family has found her favorite type of ball(only one she won't tear apart), and Athena will place the ball right in your lap so you can easily reach to throw it for her! If you do NOT throw the ball in a timely manner, she will be sure to remind you with a NOSE to the lap...NUDGE, NUDGE.... She is SO SMART and willing to learn. She will chew on appropriate toys and chews given to her instead of Foster's belongings. Athena is a HIGH ENERGY dog that needs room to run and play. Her perfect companion will understand she will need consistant training and exercise to mentally and physically stimulate her in the appropriate ways needed to be a healthy and happy dog. Athena is crate and house trained. She is still learning to walk nicely on the leash, but is just so happy to be GOING somewhere with SOMEONE who loves her, that her joy sometimes gets the best of her. When she see her leash out, she's READY TO GO. Athena has so far done great with everyone she has met. She has gotten along well with other calm dogs, and will play with them on her terms. She does better with dogs who know boundaries and are not constantly in her face trying to instigate play time. Due to her not really knowing her size and still learning manners, we would advise for her to be adopted to a house WITHOUT small children. Athena may do well with a proper introduction to a dog savvy cat who is calm and doesn't mind being poked and prodded with Athena's curious nose. Athena is an ABSOLUTE GEM, and whoever adopts her is going to be so freaking lucky. This girl will absolutely be your friend for life, if you dedicate the same energy to her. Athena requires a fenced yard. Athena is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and dewormed. Her spay date is set for May 2nd, and we are accepting applications for her now!   Athena's meet and greet will be in Oakville. If you would like to meet Athena in person, you will need to be willing to travel to Oakville.  Athena's adoption fee is $300.  An approved application and an appointment is required.  If interested in meeting Athena, please submit an application by copying/pasting this link into your browser: www.redroseanimalrescue.org/application.asp

Zander 6945

The Humane Society canines have behaviors and characteristics that will let each of them find a fitting home as a best forever friend. And then there appears a canine who will be the head of the class. Meet Zander. The human hadn’t met Zander until together they walked the path to the HS bark park for the photo session. The level of wonder and amazement was instantaneous and only climbed higher as Zander, the valedictorian, demonstrated his innate abilities for a non-stop 40 minutes of fun and mutual admiration. In a split-second Zanders becomes the friend that you feel you have known for a lifetime. His smiles are nonstop from his heart and are always filled with joy and happiness. Zander’s focus and his wants-to-please attention makes you feel like you are the most deserving person in the world. He performs an instant sit on command and holds out his paw for a shake and knows just when to spontaneously sit for a well-deserved touch. Zander’s stub tail vibrates with such bliss that it disappears into a 3-inch “hard to see but you know it’s there” vibration. He waited with amazing patience as the human finally managed to affix the barely long enough bandana around his neck. 3-year-old Zandar is in impeccable shape, both physically and emotionally. Watching him leap sky-high for a squeaky was awe-inspiring and having him bring you the toy and lean on you hoping for another toss was even more incredulous. At the end of the session, Zandar stood up on his hind legs, put his paws around the human and shared a most respectable hug and an equally reputable kiss on the chin . Zandar may be the most perfect dog ever created. The most appropriate descriptive summation is “Zander is Labrador Retriever shapeshifted into a Rottweiler costume.” If you are truly worthy of such a kick ass companion, he is waiting for you at the Humane Society for Animals in Rogers, AR,

Dolly: video!!

*If interested in adopting, please READ and follow instructions below. If she is not marked pending, she is still available, please just submit an application** *Female cat *orange/white tabby *Approximately 2 years old as of April 2024 -Dolly came to us after she was found dumped outside a local store. When inquiring with the staff they said she has been there and was not wanted. When we got her home we found a microchip, so we traced it. As we pieced together the information from that and from the staff at the store, we came to realized that this poor girl had been dumped over and over again through no fault of her own, never finding a family who actually wanted to keep her and to keep her safe. We sent her to one of our foster homes and she is literally the perfect baby girl. She LOVES people, loves attention, and all she wants to do is make muffins and purr. Even at the vet! I had her overnight here and she was so happy to just have a warm place to stay with comfy places, a full belly, and all the love. She is just the best baby and would do well in any sort of family. She should do well with other cats with slow introductions. She didn’t interact with any here but when she could hear them outside of the door she had no reaction. She has done well with all the children she has interacted with. She is spayed, FIV/Felv negative, rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and on flea preventative. She will be adopted to an indoor only home and the adopter will sign a contract that she cannot be declawed. Interested adopters can fill out our adoption application here: https://www.judgespark.org/adoption-application.html. Adoption fee is $50 which includes all the vetting above.

Wiley

Peek-a-boo!!! I'm Wiley & I'm a bite-sized itty mini aussie. I'm approximately 3 years old, under 20 pounds & quite the fraidy cat. As you can see I'm a real stunner & my single up ear is just the icing on the cutie pie cake. I want to be real up front about my perfect people, because whoever adopts me is going to be my forever family! ***I am VERY shy & undersocialized*** This doesn't mean I'm not sweet, because I SO am! I take some time to warm up but once I do, it's all tail wags and gazing into your eyes. I came from a very sad place where they were trying to breed me and had waaaayyyyy too many doggos, but a lovely animal advocate saved me and a couple of my besties & started us on our journey to the good life. I get along super with all other dogs, they actually help me feel more secure. I was in a foster with cats and did find with them, too. Being comfortably crated makes me feel safe & happy, too. My perfect home would be a quiet one with a well fenced yard and attentive people. I'm healthy & vetted & have been wanting my perfect, mellow home for some time. Can you give me the home life I deserve? If so, please apply for me today @ PrairieSongRescue.org. Dog bless you. Wiley ??

Amber 6944

Amber is a beautiful canine. Her beauty extends from her golden fur and adoring amber eyes to her inner calm and peaceful nature. Amber arrived at the shelter bewildered and terrified from the ordeal she had experienced…. deserted, hungry, frightened, and alone. With the help and kindness of the HS volunteers, Amber has been relearning what it is to be loved and cherished by caring, compassionate humans. Although 3-year-old Amber is still very shy and uncertain, she is responding to the support and is slowly becoming more trusting and confident. Even getting her to accept a hot dog treat took a lot of courage on her part but she now poses with from-the-heart smiles and her head held high. In the 4 days since the pictures were taken, Amber now explores the bark park with her tail perfectly rounded into a proud question mark curl. Amber still doesn’t walk on leash, but she interacts nicely with other canines. It will take an adopter with a big heart who is willing to express understanding, patience, compassion, and love to help Amber rediscover the trust, the hope and the self-confidence that are there waiting for her.

Jester

This super cutie is Jester. He is a cute, friendly kitten who was living in a trailer park until being rescued along with whom we think is his mother, Queenie. Jester will greet you when you come into the room looking for some pets. When he head butts your hand listen for his purr machine to start. He doesn't mind being held but usually only for short periods of time while you are standing up. He does enjoy sitting next to you or on you. As with most kittens Jester loves to play. Wand toys and crinkle balls are only a few of his favorites. He is on the calmer side for a kitten but does have his kitten energy burst. Jester adjusts quickly to new people and situations. He has a happy go lucky personality and will be a great addition to any household Jester gets along with the other cats and would love to have a feline friend to hang with in his new home. He is often seen laying with other kitties especially Queenie. Jester is about 6 months old ( as of 4/10/24), neutered, up to date in vaccinations and negative for FIV and FeLV. Interested in adopting Jester, please email dlw0311@hotmail.com

Ross

Ross is a very special puppy who is in search of a loving home. This friendly and loyal baby is very playful and full of energy. He loves making new friends - including humans - and giving kisses to those he loves. Even though he's just a baby, he is very intelligent and is always up for learning new tricks. He is a great listener and loves to follow commands. Even though he's still young, he is a very fast learner and is already highly trained. Ross is a sweet and gentle puppy and is good with children. However, we are not sure if he is good with other dogs, so he will need to be the only dog in the household. He is a wonderful companion and will fill your life with joy and love. If you are looking for a furry friend to join your family, consider adopting Ross. He can't wait to meet you!" Was this helpful? Meet your New Best Friend at an Adoption Event near you! Dasha 6943

As 3-year-old Dasha explored the Humane Society bark park, she flaunted her feminine wiles and captured the human’s heart with her delightfully charming and enchantingly disarming smile. Dasha has many talents and cleverly showed her aptitude to enact a feat that has been described in mythology and folklore for thousands of years. She truly impressed the photographer as she physically transformed from a Great Pyrenees into a stealthy canine Lion replete with a flowing mane and a furtive, effortless kinesis. Perhaps Dasha may surprise you with her shapeshifting abilities, but she will always amaze you with her polite, well-mannered decorum, her relaxed, easy-going disposition and her courteous and kind, gentile nature. Stop by the Humane Society for Animals in Rogers, AR and share a tender hug with a peaceful, loving canine.
