Our organization requires prospective adopters to complete an approval process prior to meeting with dogs in our program. This includes: *Completion of Adoption Application *Veterinarian Check *Reference Checks (non-relatives) *Home Visit Our ultimate goal is to screen and counsel potential homes to the best of our ability in an effort to find the most perfect match and fit for their lifestyle. Please keep in mind that color and appearance of the available dog is last on our priority list, and will have no bearing on adoption placement decisions. At 16, Mister brings us a lifetime of his experiences. While those remain a mystery, we do know that he loves a warm bed, a loving family, and excellent care. While napping is his favorite activity, he also loves backyard sniffaries, walks in his stroller, and evening trots around the culdesac! Retrograde is a shy guy who likes to stick to his quiet and safe spaces. He is used to living with several other cats and may thrive in a home with other confident kitties to show him the ropes! Retrograde can be scared of new people and settings and may give off some initial hisses - but he does really come out of his shell after spending a few minutes with him and will make biscuits, roll, and purr up a storm. Oliver

Oliver is a senior fellow looking for a palliative retirement home. <3 Oliver was surrendered into our care as he was having issues with inappropriate urination. Oliver has a tendency to get upset by the sight/smells of other cats - even through the windows. Oliver has had veterinary testing to rule out urinary-related issues and he was found to be all-clear which indicates this issue is behavioural. We have only observed this behaviour in him when he is frustrated by other cats or hasn't had enough attention/stimulation. Oliver seems to thrive in a stimulating settings with lots of attention to himself! He likes to be the star of the show and shine in the spotlight! Oliver is a confident, social, and likes to be affectionate (on his terms). 😉 Oliver doesn't love being picked-up but he will jump up onto your lap when he chooses for some serious cuddle time. He adores weaving in and out of your legs for rubs. Oliver still is very active and has high energy for his age. He looooves treats and prefers dry food over wet. Oliver had some anomalies pop up on his x-rays and bloodwork and may be at risk for respiratory issues down the road. Galway

Galway is a wonderful 7-year-old orange boy. He is all heart and utterly charming. Galway loves people, he winds around one's legs, cuddles and gives hugs, purring non-stop. Galway was left behind and fending for himself for 6 months around his former home in the winter. When he came to the Shelter, he was in rough shape, injured and starving. His injury had to be treated daily, he was very patient and calm about it and he healed very well. Galway has to be the only pet in his home; he doesn't like other cats and dogs.Galway has FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), but he can live a very long and healthy life if he is kept strictly indoors, well cared for and happy.
