Icee

Adoption Fee: $250 + tax Location: Foster Home Icee Named for her cool and calm demeanor, Icee is a sweet, lovable baby who enjoys spending time with people, but also puts herself to bed when she is ready. She loves to give and receive affection but it takes time for her to snuggle in your lap. She is very easy going with food (dry, wet, she accepts everything without complaint) and nail clipping (especially when she is sleepy). She greets you when you come home and is quite proficient at catching whatever moves. Although she is well socialized with many different children, she takes her time to warm up to other cats (and presumably dogs, although she hasn't experienced that). Icee takes after her mother (Tootsie) and has a great disposition. Icee has been spayed, microchipped and has had the start of her kitten vaccinations. Unfortunately, I can not keep everyone. I have raised her as my own, giving her plenty of attention all throughout the day, so she is primed and ready for your love. If you would like to meet Icee, please complete an application on the Carver Scott Humane Society's website.

Georgie (Curly)

Adoption Fee: $450, plus taxes Location: Foster Home Do you need an alarm clock in the morning around 6:30am? Then say hello to 8 month old Georgie! He is a Mini Aussie, Great Pyrenees mix boy and just as cute as can be. He's grown to be 37 pounds at this age and may get a little bigger. He's a spunky energetic boy and would do great with an active family. He enjoys going for a 2 mile run in the morning and a 1-2 mile walk in the evening. As he was a stray once, he can be little shy and timid to come up to his humans, but once he starts getting pets, he paws or noses at his human to get more. Georgie is so happy when he is around other dogs. He may take a few days to get acquainted, but once he knows he is safe around them they will become the best of friends. He has also learned to love cuddles and hugs from the humans he loves most. Georgie is potty trained and loves to be outside but is timid about coming inside on his own. He does get lonely when he is by himself. If there is a person or dog he loves nearby he is perfectly content. Georgie is still working on kennel training, but he has made a lot of progress. He sleeps free in the bedroom (on the bed or dog bed) overnight and has been contained in the bedroom or in the kennel while the humans are away. He does whine when he is alone at times and can become anxious when he feels tapped (such as in a kennel or bedroom by himself) We are working through this by leaving him in the kennel for short periods of time. Georgie knows sit, his name and is working on come. He can be stubborn about listening to commands especially when there are a lot of distractions such as being outside or being at the dog park. He does have a herding instinct and gets excited to chase birds, rabbits, squirrels, and cars. However, this does make him a good running buddy. He may bark when he sees people or other animals outside. Georgie is up to date on his vaccinations, has a microchip and has been neutered. If you would like to meet Georgie, please complete an application today! He won't last long with those eyes!

Due to this Jacey is receiving surgery to have her leg amputated which will result in her living a very normal and happy life. After her surgery she will be a normal puppy just with three legs. She can rip around and play just like the rest of them! Jacey is an AMAZING girl. She is mild mannered and sweet. She loves all people and LOVES other dogs. She loves to play but also is very good at staying calm and relaxing inside. She loves to sit outside and would probably do that all day if she could. Tootsie

Adoption Fee: $200 + tax Location: Foster Home 1.5 year old Tootsie Has a Heart of gold! Tootsie is truly the sweetest cat I have ever known. She loves to give and receive affection and is a great companion for a night on the couch or just patiently watching you work. She loves to sit next to or near you when you are still and will follow you from room to room. She is an absolutely pleasure with cutting nails and giving medicines (oral and eyes thus far), with a calm demeanor from the start and never aggressive towards me, my husband, or the parade of children that have handled her in my home, even when handling her babies. As with most cats, it takes her time to warm up to other cats (and presumably other animals, although I have not tested this). She is a young cat but also very petite, with a beautiful combination of colors. She will brighten up your mood with her sweet personality and a loving headbutt. Her ability to adjust to different personalities and her heart of gold makes her the puurrrfect companion! Tootsie is up to date on her vaccinations. She has been spayed and microchipped. If you would like to meet Tootsie, please complete an application on the Carver Scott Humane Society's website.

Lillian

Adoption Fee: $200, plus taxes Location: Foster Home Lillian is a tiny, easy-going mama, who doesn't demand attention but won't turn it down. She likes to be pet and picked up. She was very much a lap cat while pregnant but now prefers to be near me (possibly, it's just too hot for laps right now). She's indifferent to our resident cats and would be fine with or without a buddy. Lillian is just about 2 years old. She has been spayed, brought up to date on her vaccinations and has a microchip. If you would like to meet Lillian, please complete an application on the Carver Scott Humane Society's website.

Snoopy

Meet Snoop, 2ish year old, Tree Walker Coonhound/Hound mix who loves to be around his dog and human friends! He is fully vetted, and neutered, weighing in now about 40 pounds, he is working hard to put on some needed weight, and hes happy to eat his dinner. He is fully house trained. Snoopy enjoys his beauty sleep but has great energy to play. He sleeps through the night in his large crate with ease. He is leash trained and hasn't met a dog or human he doesn't like. He is very dog friendly, but in a calm and playful way. He currently lives with 2 smaller dogs (beagle & hound) & doesn't pay attention to cats so far, but isn't fully tested yet. He will let you know he's comfy by his very cute, heavy sigh. Sniffing and investigating around his fenced in yard is one of his specialties - he is definitely a hound! But one of his best qualities is his superb recall. He is an EXCELLENT listener! Snoopy with bark/bay a little playfully when he gets in "play position" and is asking his dog friends to play with him. Fortunately, he doesn't get bothered by Amazon or FedEx deliveries to the front door. If Snoopy's dog friends are not in the mood to play along, he's more than happy to play with toys by himself - he even will throw toys to himself! He would love a family with kids, other dogs, fenced in yard and possible walks. Due to size recommend kids over age of 5 as he is a medium/large dog.

Pretzel

Say hello to Pretzel! He is a sweet little guy that purrs the second you pick him up. He is smart and the leader in exploring and he loves nothing more than roughhousing with his siblings. He's a great snuggler and loves to curl up in your lap for a long nap. Pretzel is a little timid with new people but warms up very quickly. Big friendly dogs and all age cats are okay with him, and kids too, though he will need time to trust dogs. Pretzel has to find a home with another kitten or very young playful cat -- his foster mom knows he won't be happy without a playmate that matches his energy. He would love to be adopted with his brother or one of his sisters when they are ready to go. For more information, please e-mail us at acatsrescue@gmail.com

Little White Dog Litter: Odie

Welcome to the world Little White Dog Litter Odie! Odie is a Maltese born on 5/11/2023. He and his two siblings are just getting started on this journey called life. We cannot wait to watch them grow up and become their unique selves. We will share more on them as we learn more! So keep an eye on these cuties! Please Note: The Little White Dog Litter will not be able to go to their FURever homes until 07/06/2023 when they are 8 weeks of age. We strongly encourage you to apply to adopt before then, so that we can process your app while we wait for them to come of age. The suggested adoption donation for Odie is $750, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $300,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Alter Agreement: If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you. Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $80 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost. If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice. If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $80 for dogs, and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses. All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age. All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal's foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal's needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Lee Lee

Lee Lee is an approximately 13 year old domestic short hair all white male with beautiful powder blue eyes. When Lee Lee first arrived at the shelter, he was very scared and apprehensive of anyone approaching him but he has since warmed up to several volunteers and enjoys being petted and talked to. Is Lee Lee a playful cat? No. Is Lee Lee an outgoing cat? No. Lee Lee is very calm and sedentary. Lee Lee is a special senior that deserves a loving home as well as any other cat or kitten! A calm and quiet home would be best for Lee Lee with a patient adopter willing to accept and work with Lee Lee on his terms. Lee Lee lives with other cats at the shelter and tolerates them well but would not tolerate any aggression or dominance from another cat. He just wants to be left alone and doesn’t want any trouble and be able to spend his golden years in a loving home! If you are interested in giving Lee Lee the life he deserves, please fill out our online application or stop in during open hours Wednesday 6-8pm or Saturday from 12-3pm. https://www.lakeshorehumanesociety.org/online-adoption...
