Male, about 6 months old, DSH/snugglepuss
Sonic is a cat of many opinions and he isn't afraid to share them with anyone, the strongest one being that his every waking hour, and preferably also his every sleeping hour, must be spent with his human. He is a constant noise machine and the only time he's not passionately expressing his feelings, casually chatting, or chirping is when he's purring. Nothing makes Sonic purr more than a good snuggle, while being cradled on his back like a baby and mashing his face into his human's. He loves other cats as well and would love a friendly buddy to play and cuddle with; more reserved cats might find him a bit overly friendly and Just Too Much at first, although Sonic has been slowly winning them over in his current foster home. While he personally doesn't believe in personal boundaries, he's been learning to respect them with cats that do (to be clear, this is a courtesy offered solely to other cats and not to humans). Sonic loves interactive play the best and his favorite game is to chase a toy attached on a string. Like his orange ancestors before him, Sonic is constantly rediscovering the existence of his tail, and the joy of trying to catch it. In rare moments of quiet contemplation he enjoys gazing out the window at birds and pedestrians. Sonic is not fussy about food at all and inhales it like a vacuum cleaner. His greatest wish is to love and to be loved and live happily ever after in blissful codependence with his human (or any other species really, he's not picky). Apply today to meet Sonic!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCKR.
City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines, as age appropriate. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care.
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
