Zeus *Adopt*

Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html ***************** Zeus is still a baby at 6 months, weighing in at about 30lbs, and may grow to about the 50lb range. Simon & Spork

Allow us to share the charming tale of Simon and Spork. Simon, a sophisticated white kitten (13 weeks), was rescued from a roadside crate by a kind Samaritan. Purring with grace after a playful dash around the home, he effortlessly blends a touch of class with a hint of mischief. Picture him donning a monocle, sipping tea, and unraveling yarn in pursuit of life's finer pleasures. One serene afternoon, as Simon basked in the sun, his foster mom introduced a scrappy brown tabby rebel—barely weaned and a survivor of harsh street life. She was dubbed Spork (8 weeks). With a strong sense of self-preservation, she forged her own rules, exuding a gruff demeanor, indifference, and a daily catnip pack habit. Simon, with his genteel charm, secretly imparted nighttime etiquette lessons to little Spork. Covering every aspect from the significance of a well-placed purr to refined feline charm, the transformation worked its magic. While Spork remains true to her sporky nature, she has blossomed into a delightful and sweet little kitten. Despite the size difference, the duo has evolved into inseparable friends—exploring, grooming, playing, and cuddling. Their extraordinary friendship is a tale worth remembering, and we aspire to find a home that will delight in this endearing pair as much as we do. At any given moment, whether fine dining on the windowsill (with a touch of tuna, naturally) or rolling catnip rolls in the backyard, Simon and Spork promise to bring joy and laughter to your life. -- Copy & paste to use the following form link: https://forms.gle/TQptSrwiD7YCHbTk8 Adoption Team Email: pawfundadoptions@gmail.com

Gizmo Romero

This cutie is Gizmo! He is currently 17 pounds, 12 weeks old, and we think they may be a Pit / Lab mix, but with rescue its a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his life as well as the life of another in its place. Gizmo is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play with his siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! Gizmo is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog youve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dogs needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan Coupons for a fun visit to Petco Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Petey

Anyone looking for a resident comedian for the holidays? :-)) Meet Petey, from the Little Rascals!! Petey is a designer dog… he has the regal head of a Great Dane, the ears and spots of a dalmatian, the body, chest, and stance of a boxer, and the beefy thighs of an American Bulldog. He is at a healthy weight of 90lbs. He was depressed and had stopped eating before we began fostering, has a very healthy appetite now! He sometimes decides I didn’t give him enough food and helps himself to the open bag of dog food. He is about 3 yrs old, neutered, vaxxed, and HILARIOUS! Playful like a puppy. Barely barks but is starting to become alert to noises, which I am encouraging. I imagine he will eventually bark when someone comes around. He has a nice, deep bark. Perfect leash manners and has been friendly to everyone we meet. Men, women, young kids, lots of teen boys, strangers, and dogs! He gently noses our door handle and whimpers when he needs to potty. He can play rough and does some pretty fierce zoomies, so would probably do best in a home without small children… he whips his rope toy around and could hit them. He will nibble your clothes like a puppy to get you to play. He has 2 modes, play and rest. He lies quietly in my office when I work. Petey needs a home where people will be loving towards him, as he's really wanting a human of his own, and will like to wrestle and play tug of war! He sat in a kill shelter for a year before coming to us and is making up for lost time. He was recently neutered and is to be dog friendly. He is very timid to all dogs but tries to play if the other dog is nice. He is becoming more vocal when he plays and announcing his dislike of the TV, see attached video. We crate him at night and he does really well. Stays quiet and falls fast asleep. He loves his toys and has great house manners. We do not allow him on furniture, although I know he'd love a lap to snuggle on since he's a small dog at heart. 🙂 Please reach out with any questions!

Lazurus

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Welcome to Act 2 Rescue where you become part of our A2R family. Adoption is an important time in your life and we are grateful to be a part of it. We take pride in offering you a personalized adoption experience with continuing behavioral support as needed. -Mindy Gould, CEO Hi there, I'm Lazurus and I'm about 4 months old. I'm really small but that's because I was a bottle baby since my mama didn't have any milk. I may be a kitten, but I've got a big personality. I'm a bit of an independent soul, but don't let that fool you. I'm also incredibly sweet and friendly. I can be a little shy at first, but give me a little time and I'll warm right up to you. I'm curious about the world around me, always ready for a new adventure. I might make you laugh with my goofy antics. I love to play, especially with my mama, Azula Tiffany. She's my best friend. We have a great bond and love to play and cuddle together! We would love to find a loving home where we can grow and thrive together. Adopting us would mean double the love, double the purrs, and double the fun! Will you be our forever family? I am all ready for my new home or will be soon! Once sterilized, I will have been seen by a veterinarian, had all shots I was able to get when I was sterilized or they checked my sterilization status and microchipped! All I need now is you! I am currently living in a foster home and am fully litter trained. Act 2 Rescue will even help you make sure I am able to integrate into your human and pet family with their behavioral coaching support during the transition period. I can't wait to meet you so please fill out an application for me today! _______________________________________________________________________ Please be aware we are a small foster based rescue in Riverside, California. Our volunteers often have other jobs/careers as well. We are not a government funded shelter and all of our donations and adoption fees are used to run the rescue and help the animals in our care. Since we are no kill, higher fees for in demand breeds help us cover critical care. We are always in need of volunteers, donations, and fosters. Please excuse any wait times as we are often inundated with emergencies or short staffed. You can learn more about us on our website https://act2rescue.org or at www.allmylinks.com/act2rescue Steps 1-2 of the ADOPTION PROCESS must be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS or take deposits. To keep animals healthy, we limit foster based meet & greets to people fully qualified to adopt them. No animals can be held without a $75 deposit. Deposits cannot be refunded if you change your mind, they are to hold a cat and can result in other adopters being told they cannot adopt. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Application: Log into our website and complete the adoption application at link below: Applications : Forms (rescuegroups.org) 2. Virtual Home Check: Once your application is approved, check back if you haven't been scheduled for a virtual home check within 48 hours. A virtual home check to ensure safety of your residence for your kitty (not perfect cleanliness). You will be told during the visit if you pass. 3. Official meet & greet with your kitty at an adoption event, foster care, or adoption center depending on location of the kitty. We only have a few volunteers, so we apologize at times we fall behind due to high demand of some cats. 5. Sign adoption contract and, if appropriate, foster to adopt clause. 6. Pay adoption fee via zelle using act2rescue@gmail.com (not our phone number) or using cash. We can accept cards at adoption events but the terminal charges fees that are pretty high so it's not the best option. 7. Take your kitty home. Be sure to isolate kitty while they adjust to your home. We may check in from time to time to be sure you do not need any additional support because we love hearing how our kitties are doing. As volunteer staff, happy stories are literally our paycheck. 8. Check out our website https://act2rescue.org for resources, blogs and info on how to best take care of your new kitty. Our professional behavior coach is available via text to assist you with transition as well. We also have a Facebook group to interact with our behavior coach and other kitten care experts, as well as our A2R family like you! ****Please note, we do not have dedicated staff for phone lines so please text instead of calling. If the cat/kitten is listed, they are available. However, they could have pending applications or meet and greets scheduled. Filling out an application and approval does not obligate you to adopt the kitty. If they are not a fit...we have plenty of other kitties for adoption. This kitty has received at least two FVCRP vaccines, rabies if over 4 months, Revolution for fleas/ticks/heartworms/stomach parasites/ear mites, de-wormer, sterilization*, and microchip (you must register for it to work but it's free). All kitties are given a general wellness check by a veterinarian prior to sterilization. Deposits: The only way we can hold a kitty is with a non-refundable (if you decide not to adopt within 2 weeks not if we void the adoption) deposit of $75. We reserve the right to void the adoption up until the point the contract is signed. If we cancel the adoption (for kitty health or other issues) we will refund your deposit. If you wait longer than 2 weeks, we cannot hold the kitty due to space constraints. Your deposit could be used on another kitty. If you decide not to adopt at all, any deposit will go to the care of animals rescued with us and may be written off as a donation. Foster to Adopt: Kittens must be 2 lbs or 8 weeks and fixed to be adopted. This will be noted in the approximate available date. If a kitty is unable to be fixed in a timely manner, they may foster to adopt. This would be all adoption paperwork and donations would be exchanged and the kitten would go home. Adoption paperwork will have a clause that it is not final until animal is sterilized. Once the sterilization appointment arrives you must bring them in to be sterilized or the animal will have to be returned to the rescue. You may also have them sterilized on your own and show proof to the rescue. Once sterilized the adoption will be complete. We normally do not do these in this manner but due to extreme situations they may arise. Final health checks are done during sterilization. Any unknown health issues would also allow you to choose a different cat. Failure to comply with sterilization will result in returning the animal to us without refund of donations. Breeds: We cannot guarantee breed but do our best to identify possible breeds based on their appearancxe and personality. If you DNA test your furry friend, let us know the results. It is fun to see what the kitty actually is and how close our guess is. Please know not all DNA companies test for all breeds and the science is still catching up so it may adjust later to have breeds we saw. We like to know so we can improve our analysis too. We cannot guarantee health but go to great lengths to have healthy kitties. Kitties do not live in a cattery but in private fosters for this reason. Snap Testing: We do not test for FELV/FIV in healthy animals as it is often incorrect in animals under 6 months and can be a false positive. False negatives also give a false sense of security. These tests are best done if an animal is unhealthy to determine disease. https://www.uwsheltermedicine.com/library/resources/why-are-some-shelters-no-longer-testing-all-cats-for-felv-and-fiv

Griffin

Meet Griffin! This older black kitty boy is quite the lap kitty! He absolutely loves to cuddle and be held--he really, really wants you to pick him up and carry him around and hold onto him. He will purr and meow for attention, and he's fluffier than he looks at first glance. When he's comfortable being around you, he might get a little playful, but he also just likes to rub against chairs and legs, and will try to 'help' you with your penmanship if you're trying to write with a pen or pencil. Griffin is a total sweetheart of a guy, and while he might drool a little bit when he's getting lots of attention, that just lets you know he's super happy. Griffin would really be happy if he could come home with someone who will give him lots of love and snuggles. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Angel

Angel is in need of her Furever home. She was surrendered to me from a pretty funky situation so I went to work trying to socialize her. Since then she has come such a long way. She love loves loves cuddles and loves playing with other cats around her size. An adopter returned her after only 2 days!! He gave her zero chance of warming up. If you are interested in making this lil Angel part of your family please DM me!! I am absolutely positive with the right person/family she will make the most loving pet ever! She is very close to me and sometimes does not want me to put her down. She will feel just as safe with you if you give her the time she needs to adjust and keeping in mind she comes from a place that was not stable nor safe. ?? Angle is quirky and fun. Loves to play and purrs so loud. She will need time to adjust so patience is a must.
