Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Goose
Hello everyone! My name is Goose (but I prefer to be called the Christmas ornament warrior). My foster parents say I'm sweet, loving & a cute pain in the butt. My Hoomans put up a tree with 100+ individual toys just for me to play with & I've all ready pulled half of them down! I love other cats but love cuddling with my foster parents.
My mom was a black cat & my Dad is half Maine Coon tabby(so in a few months who knows what my fur will look like). I'm hoping my furever home will have kids & other cats and/or children. At the end of the day, I love curling up & making biscuits on my Hooman overlords. Thanks for looking!

Ramon
Get ready for an incredible story! Meet Ramon, the adorable pup who was found in a construction field as a tiny, helpless puppy. He's had a tough start, but luckily, he found a loving foster mom who has been taking care of him. Ramon is a laid-back and playful little guy who gets along great with other dogs. He's already mastered crate training and housebreaking. But the best part? Ramon absolutely loves humans and can't wait to find his forever home.
But that's not all - we have some exciting news for all you potential adopters out there. We offer transportation services to various locations every 2 weeks, including the breathtaking Pacific Northwest and the vibrant East Coast. And guess what? For our amazing Canadian friends, we even have a special stop in beautiful Bellingham, WA. How incredible is that? Now, you might be wondering about the adoption and transport fees. Well, worry not! We are currently running an adoption special that includes the adoption and transport fee. All the information you need and our application can be found on our website at www.springbranchrescue.org.
If we are based in Houston, then how can you see our posts? We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. We do not have a physical shelter. All of our adoptable pets are living with local foster families which will make the transition into your household a whole lot easier. We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful. Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue.
Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets. So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home. Many never even had a home and were born on the streets. WE gave them a chance. Every animal deserves a chance.
If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then please fill out an application at https://www.springbranchrescue.org/available-pets.html

Boreas
Bo is a sweet typical Great Pyrenees. He came to Needy Paws at only 40 some pounds at just a little over a month ago, ear infections and not in good health. He is up to 65 lbs now and still needs to gain weight. It is guessed he is 9 -10 months.
He is good with the other four dogs in his foster home from small to large. He loves people. Was told afraid of some men but current foster has not had this experience with him. He has been friendly and attention seeking with everyone he meets.
He will bark in the back yard like a typical Pyrenees but comes in when you call him. He will go in his crate for food or treats. He is doing well in his foster home and is low key in the house. He would make anyone a great addition to their home.

Phoebe
If you are interested in any of the cats available at New Leash Rescue, please email adopt@newleashrescue.org for a cat application form.
Phoebe came to us during the summer- she was found dumped in the entryway of a PetSmart store in a urine soaked carrier. She was really upset and was matted, and it took awhile for her to understand everything that happened to her.
She is estimated to be 5 years old based off her teeth. She is very friendly with people and a loving girl once she warm up. She can coexist with other cats but usually prefers her own space. She was likely an only cat before she was dumped.
Phoebe is a good girl who enjoys chilling in the window on a sunny afternoon. She has yet to meet a dog, so unsure of how she would react to one. She has heard them, but hasn't been directly with them.
She will do best in a quieter household with older kids.
Can you help show Phoebe that the best of her life is yet to come?
As part of the adoption process, vet references will be checked on past/current pets looking for history of routine exams, DHPP/FDRC and rabies vaccines.
Adoption fee is $230 + tax (no checks)
Email adopt@newleashrescue.org with questions.
Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.
Sometimes there is more that comes out about an animals personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.

Sebastian (New Digs)
Sebastian is a 4 year old soon to be 5, rare blue Long hair Standard Dachshund born right here in Texas! He is a silly 19 pounds of energy and attention just waiting for the next new thing to chase or play with. His cleverness and curiosity will always get him into new places or even score him human treats!
Sebastian is a fun and loving dog who will always be attached to your hip with a ball! He has boundless energy when it comes to playing. He was born with alopecia which gives him an interestingly soft blue coat. He has thus far been nicknamed 'Danny Devito', for when the hair on his ears get long and stand up straight. He grew up in a household with a Pomeranian, whom couldn't handle his playfulness, and prompted his need for brother and sister dachshunds! They soon grew out of their playful era, and have since left Sebastian to play by himself. He enjoys long walks, running around outside, searching for treats, and cuddling with his owners! He is a bit scared of staying in the kennel, however he usually adjusts when given enough time, so he would prefer to be able to go anywhere his human can go.
Sebastian grew up in an apartment environment, so he knows how to use a pee pad, however he can not always tell what is a pee pad and what is a carpet. Allowing him to go outside in the yard to do his business is his preference. He can sit, he can stay (Until you disappear), use a treadmill, find his ball or toy, and find rabbits if you prefer, (he can sniff very very well). Because he loves to chase rabbits, he would not do good with a cat or a dog smaller than him, as this may prompt his instinct to hunt. he loves to get attention from passing people and children, but has never played with a child before, but because Sebastian is so playful and his current siblings are not, he has been separated as to not introduce future conflicts. He regards his owner so highly and protects them with all his heart.
Sebastian is a very loyal and active companion that would love a structured house with plenty of room to play, a warm place to cuddle, and a human to snuggle on.
If you are interested in a loving and playful pup, look no further and apply for Sebastian today!
