She enjoys being petted so much she pushes her back up against your hand and will follow you around for more! She's house-trained and could go to a home with other cats if there is a successful introduction. Dakota came to us in 2020 after we got a call from a lady who found her giving birth to kittens in her yard where her cat aggressive dog would roam. The woman was concerned that Mama and her kittens would be killed so she brought Dakota to us. She had 4 babies, only 2 survived. Her kittens found a home long ago but poor Dakota is still waiting patiently for someone to take her home. Could you be the perfect fit for Dakota? He currently has two pittie siblings and he enjoys having other pups to cuddle. Brody loves to sunbathe and would enjoy being a partial outside dog. Bonded pair RJ (grey male lionhead) and Zola (black female lop) were surrendered to us at ADHS when their owner could no longer care for them. Both are spayed/neutered and vaccinated against RHDV. RJ and Zola like to snuggle with each other but they’re not as keen to snuggle with humans. They do allow gentle head pets. RJ likes his ears scratched from time to time. RJ and Zola enjoy their Timothy hay and adult rabbit pellets and they love their daily fresh greens like romaine lettuce and cilantro. They drink water from a bowl. Zola is quite fluffy in her tail area and underneath, so her “undercarriage” needs to be gently checked daily to ensure that she’s kept clean. Rabbits’ skin is extremely delicate, and a rabbit-savvy veterinary clinic can perform sanitary trims when necessary. Zola is hard of hearing, possibly deaf, and she may be startled if approached from behind. Owners of bonded pairs will tell you that a pair isn’t twice the work of a single because they share the same litter box, bowls, etc. Rabbits are very social animals and they enjoy having a friend of their own species. Our previous owner said we never mated but we do groom each other. She loved us very much but felt we deserved more handling, time, and space. She trusted FPR to find us a wonderful new home. We are best buddies but have very different personalities. I am the life of the party! I am quite friendly, not afraid to get up close, and know how to step up. Pudge is a more serious fella. He will woo you with his singing, but don’t take that as a welcome for you to get close to him. Pudge can be stubborn and snippy. I enjoy taking baths and having treats, while Pudge is not a fan of baths. Due to lack of handling over the years, we have become skittish of hands, but our foster mom is working hard to gain our trust as we continue to get to know each other. We love to sing!
