Carp and Marlin

Carp and Marlin (6 months) came to the rescue after being dumped outside as one month old kittens. They were very sick to the point they couldn’t open their eyes. A very nice person snagged their whole litter up and brought them home and got them on medication. Since these girls were babies, they’ve been absolute love bugs. They love to run right up to you and rub all over you. The absolute most special thing about both of these girls is they wag their tails like dogs when they’re happy or playing. It’s ridiculously precious. While they wag their tails they squint their eyes and start to roll on their sides to invite you in for some pets. Both Marlin and Carp will follow you all around the house. They also love to climb cat trees to the tippy top and take naps together. Marlin will fall asleep with you every night and greet you when you wake up every morning. Both girls love to snuggle on the couch while you settle down and watch tv! Carp and Marlin have been socialized with cats, rabbits, and dogs. We think they’d do well in an assortment of homes but super young kids might be a lot for them. Both Carp and Marlin have received full vet work ups and are ready to go to their new forever home! If you’re interested in adopting Carp and Marlin submit an application at www.cassidyscritters.com and we’ll be in touch shortly!

Jaxson

This blue eyed cutie is Jaxon, a 16 month old Shepherd and Husky mix. Jaxon came into rescue as a local owner surrender. His family had him in their front yard off leash and watched him run into the street and get hit by a car. Jaxon’s femur was broken and he had some road rash. Our vet clinic reached out for help to save him, he needed an orthopedic surgery and his owners had no funds. Jaxon’s femur has healed beautifully, and he is ready to find a home. Jaxon is a really good boy. He does well with other dogs, kids, and dog savvy cats. This guy even gives our vets kisses. He would really love to have a playmate in his new home. Jaxon is a goofy guy with a lot of personality. When he wants something from you he boops you with his nose. He will also boop a cat to initiate play, most cats would not be amused. The cat at his foster home actually plays with him. Jaxon requires a physically fenced yard to run and play safely. He would love an active family. Jaxon is housetrained, kennel trained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. If you would like to meet Jaxon, please complete the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process. • Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course. • Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue • At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. • We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. • Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. • Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process.

Mojito

Loaf is as AMAZING as he is GEORGIOUS! UNBELIEVABLE people just continue to dump tons of wonderful animals to quickly face their demise in shelters. We picked Loaf up the day he was going to be euthanized. We are overflowing with dogs that need homes but just cannot stand to see these lives constantly being taken away for NO REASON! We immediately took Loaf out the following day to get a better feel for him. He did great! He is a very easy dog. He is lightly unexposed. So new things he hesitates a but with coaxing he quickly complies. He is good in a car, a little hesitant in getting in , but good on the ride. He was good at the dog park with a few dogs that he met. He was lucky enough to get dinner out at Lazy Dog the same day. Again a little hesitant to walk in even by the dogs smaller than him but quickly corrected. He did fabulous on the patio next to many dogs and families with children. He ate his pup bowl like a gentleman and took small bites very gently from the hand. He is low to medium energy. But when really happy with the situation, he can display a little higher play level. He's good on a leash and it seems like he has been crated before. He's very gentle and very loving. Loaf would be a superb companion and family member for a single person, couple or a family. A home with another dog would be great, so he has the best of both worlds. He is very submissive. He does need a home where he will get a good amount of attention as he's kind of a big baby. We'd love for you to meet this guy as soon as possible as he really deserves the immediate attention and connection, comfort and love of a great home that will never abandon him again! He is estimated to be just over 1 year old and presumably a Labsky (Husky/Labrador mix)

Toto

Introducing Toto! This super cute little guy was found as a stray in Houston. The finder looked high and low for his family but it soon became clear no one was looking for him. But that is their loss because Toto is the friendliest pup in town. While some small dogs can be a bit spicy he is not at all. He has never met a stranger and adores kids. He currently has a 4yr old foster sibling and he loves when her and all of her friends hold him and give him lovin' He also has a 75pound golden retriever foster sibling that he loves playing with. He gets along with all dogs but really loves the big friendly ones. Per his foster family he is a love bug and always wants to be close. He loves riding in the car but he insists on being in the drivers lap because he wants to be part of the action. While his bark is the furthest thing from scary imaginable he will bark to alert if impending danger is near (aka the Amazon driver). Don't let his adorable mustache fool you the vet estimates that he is only 1 year old and he weighs 8lbs. He is slightly underweight so could stand to gain a couple pounds. Toto is being fostered in Houston Texas but is available for transport many places around the country. *Adoption Fee includes Transportation, neuter, microchip, vaccines, fecal, HW and flea prevention*

Carol Baskin

Carol came to the rescue after being rehomed a multitude of time, due to no fault of her own. Almost all her owners were moving and couldn’t take her… since then, she’s adapted well and has really grown into herself. Carol is roughly 9 years old and ready to live out her golden years with a new best friend. Carol is very much a people person and will happily talk your ear off or carry a conversation if you’re willing. She doesn’t do much playing, but she loves to sit directly in your lap and keep you company. Truly, she only wants to be loved and give you love. Carol loves her wet food time and always paces around meowing for it, she’s also obsessed with her water fountain! It’s a must have! Carol gets along well with other cats and enjoys being in their vicinity, but doesn’t snuggle up to them. She appreciates cats that give her space and just hang out with her. She does not appreciate kitten energy much and will be very vocal with another cat if she’s getting bullied, but will not hurt them. We recommend she go to a home with similarly or older aged cats to match her energy level. Despite her age, she still loves climbing and sitting up high watching over everything. She likes to be known as the princess she is. Carol is nervous around dogs but with proper introduction everything should be fine. Carol would also do well with older children who understand giving her the space she needs. Carol has had a full vet work up and dental. If you’re interested in adopting Carol Baskin submit an application at www.cassidyscritters.com and we’ll be in touch shortly!
