Nyx
Nyx is a handsome Shepherd mix who is approximately 7 months old and currently weighs 31 pounds. We rescued this little guy, along with his sister Echo from the Weslaco shelter in South Texas near the border of Mexico. Nyx is a typical shepherd. He is very sweet and enjoys romping around, exploring his surroundings. He is curious, social and enjoys being held. Nyx is having fun learning to play with toys and is very smart and cuddly. He is growing everyday and really wants his forever home.
We can really see him doing well in a home where he can get lot of attention and playtime with his family. Nyx would benefit from basic obedience training to help him learn good manners which will give him a good foundation to be the best dog he can be.
He would be a wonderful companion to grow up in just about any family environment. We have no idea who mom and dad are so we can only estimate that Nyx will be a medium to large dog full grown. He is just a fun, happy dog who can’t wait to find a home of his own!
Nyx is located in at our rescue in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to St Augustine, FL on December 21st. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $450. The fee includes the transport cost.

We cannot do meet and greets with the puppies. The transport trip is hard and long and it's too long for a puppy to be in a vehicle if he had to return to Texas.
We do not take deposits. All adoption fees are paid in person at pick-up.
Chile is a big cuddler who is a whopping 43 pounds of pure love! He was an owner surrender from an unwanted litter of puppies, and his previous owner said he was ten months old. We rescued him from the high kill shelter where he was left. I don’t know how you raise a puppy from birth and then leave it a shelter where the odds are it will not get out alive. Chile beat the odds and we are determined to make sure he has a safe forever family.
He has been well behaved and gets along with all of the other foster dogs. He is using the dog door in his kennel and keeping his indoor room clean.
He loves toys and loves playing with empty water bottles and other toys that make a crunchy sound.
We did introduce him to our kennel cats and he wasn’t very interested and was not aggressive at all.

There is always a high interest in our puppies, and applications are processed for approvals as they are received when at all possible. *St Louis area adopters would meet us in Collinsville, IL (this pick-up will be Friday evening). Springfield, Bloomington, and Oglesby pick-ups are also Friday evening.
**Green Bay and Sheboygan adopters will meet us in Fon Du Lac.
***Joliet and Davenport area adopters will meet us in Ogelsby or Roscoe, IL.
****MILWAUKEE _ We don’t have a Milwaukee stop this time but do have 2 stops in WI and will be stopping in Roscoe, IL.
Atlanta Texas Area Spay Neuter Project is a 501c3; proceeds go back to spaying and neutering dogs for low-income families in the Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana area and the care of puppies and dogs that we take in. If needed, we assist low-income families with emergency vet expenses for their current pets. All our dogs will be in foster care in Texas until they are adopted.
We cannot guarantee breed. We do our best based on the appearance of the pup and the mother if she is known to us. We rarely know the father of the puppies and litters of puppies can have more than one father. In other words, the litter can be full of half siblings with different fathers for the puppies.
