I was brought in by a good Samaritan on 09/20/2024.

I weigh 54lbs and am considered a large breed dog.
I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to "sit", "stay", "come", "down" and "shake".
I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!
I am an independent dog who likes to do my own thing!
I am full of energy, and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.
My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other large dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.

Harker is RIDICULOUS. We've never met a hippo this sweet! She'll just lay there smiling while you smoosh her face, belly up, and fall asleep... snoring like a baby. Love pours out of her for every living thing... people, dogs, cats, birds, we suspect she could even love a cockroach. She's especially gentle and sweet with children.
Harker is 10 years old and a small but dense 45 lbs. She was rescued from a hoarding situation in Texas, having lived in squalor all her life with multiple dogs, cats, and kids. Perhaps her hard life made her the way she is now - mild-mannered, unflappable, kind.

Hi there! I'm Güerito(3), a little kitten nearly 2 months old with soft, light orange fur. My brother Rayitas and I were born to a sweet mama cat who took refuge in a car engine. The kind people who helped her didn’t realize she was pregnant, but don’t worry—she’s been spayed now to prevent this from happening again.
Through the adoption program, both Rayitas and I have started our vaccination and deworming protocol, and soon we’ll be spayed too when we’re old enough.
We live entirely indoors, so using our litter box is no problem at all. We’re friendly with people and super playful, just like all kittens our age!

The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information.

C.A.R.E. has Fall kittens ready to go home with fantastic families (just in time to snuggle up and watch the snow fall)! We have all ages, sizes, and colors of kittens, and all come with spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, FIV/FeLV testing, and initial age appropriate vaccinations.

Rex is an adorable 4 month old, 6 lb Pekingese mix puppy This little guy has so much personality and is extremely affectionate. He is quiet in the house and happily scampers after his foster mom everywhere. He loves playing with toys and other dogs and has done well with the cat in his foster home. He would enjoy being with someone who is home a lot as he loves company. We also feel he would do best with another dog, so we are REQUIRING this for him.
