Selima

Egyptian Baladi Adult (5yrs).Female. Medium Up to date on vaccinations & spayed Special Needs: Incontinent & no back legs Good in a home with other dogs. Cats are unknown. Prefers a home without children Selima is a medium energy girl that does well with other dogs. She won't do well in a home with children (wrong energy for her) & cats are unknown. She does use welping mats at home & diapers for travel due to her incontinency. While Selima does not have back legs, it does not stop her at all from scooting around & living her best life. Selima was born in Egypt where baladi's are considered trash & many people there go out of their way to hurt this "breed". She was born with a hem vertebra and as a very young puppy; a very traumatic injury took away her ability to walk. Selima was shot, rendering her paralyzed. As if that wasn't cruel enough, she was then tossed into a cemetery where she was left to die. Thankfully, not everyone in Egypt is cruel. Selima was noticed by a person visiting a loved one at the cemetery & was brought to a local rescue for medical care. That was in June 2015. The bullet was removed from her spine and because of the extent of the injuries, her back legs also needed to be removed. Today, Selima is a new dog. Even with no legs, she can cruise around the house just as fast as her four legged siblings. Selima loves playtime with her other fur siblings, playing dress up for the holidays, snuggling with her foster mom and racing around the house like a maniac. There are some things though that make Selima nervous. Children can be too rambunctious and fast, men can be too big and their voice scares me. Going in a wheelchair? She hates it and would rather be a scooting pup . Selima has never been around a cat before so we're not sure how she would do with them but a cat would have the luxury of being able to jump on something if they want to get away from her. Her ideal home would be with a woman or if there happens to be a man with a soft manner and a ton of patience. *Transport can be arranged to any approved adopter within the US at no additional charge. Currently Selima is located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Please email adoptions@snarranimalrescue.org with questions about Selima

Jingle

Jingle is a domestic shorthair Texido boy who is current on all his shots and negative for feline aids and leukemia. If you like to play catch, he's the greatest and will throw the ball back to you. He can play a little rough at times, so he probably should live in a home with no small children or other pets. He likes to be the king of the castle and steal your heart.

He has severe possession issues and has been in 6 homes in the 6 years we have had him. He is a sweet boy, but you cannot take toys, food, or anything he thinks is his, away from him. Becky - in Maine

Becky - in Maine - updated March 2023 Becky is 8-9 yrs old but don’t tell her she’s looking for a retirement home because then she will tire you out playing ball ! We don’t think she has slowed down much at all, she is no couch potato but she is happy with a couple regular walks per day and some time to play ball! She is a beautiful 61-lb lab mix with a shiny coat and a desire for routine (and a ball!) Becky doesn’t love being crated but once she settles in we think she wouldn’t need one if she can be in a doggy proof area when you are not home. Becky is not kitty-friendly and she would prefer to live without other dogs because she likes her possessions and people to be just hers. If she’s out on a walk, she tolerates dogs just fine but doesn’t want to play with them or share. She loves to go on new adventures, whether in the woods, or walking on the rail trail nearby. This girl can’t catch a break. She has been in and out of the rescue for far too long because of her dislike of chaos and kitties. Small children would not be a good match for Becky and frequent visitors or busy schedules are hard for her to adjust to. We think her ideal home has a fenced yard with one or two humans that don’t mind indulging her love for balls. Becky is staying with our friends at Kompletely K9 Dog Training and Rehabilitation and a new family would need to continue the training that has been set up for her so that she can be the fun and awesome girl that we know she is! Did we mention you'll need a supply of balls to make Becky happy? ; 0 ) Here's a short video of pretty girl Becky: https://youtu.be/Bq6Vstv9CmU If you have interest in meeting Becky or any of our cuties, please fill out the adoption application here: http://www.luckypuprescue.org/adoption-application. Please note: we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Paco

Paco and Garfield arrived in September. They came all the way from Long Island, New York where they were living outside on a busy street dodging traffic. Thanks to several kind people they were able to come to our shelter and be safe. Paco is still a little shy but he loves to play and will gain your trust if you sit on the floor and play with him. He does like to be petted and will come near you if Garfield is by you. We believe Garfield is Paco's dad but were aren't 100% sure. Paco is estimated to be about 7 months old and is a handsome black tabby with white. He loves to play and enjoys taking it easy on the cat condo watching the birds outside the window. He is always right by Garfield's side. These two need to be adopted together as I don't think Paco would know what to do without his buddy Garfield. Since Paco is on the shy side we think a quiet adult only home would be best for him as he gets scared of lots of noise. Older children may be fine. Paco is already neutered, vaccinated, tested negative and microchipped. All he needs now is to find a nice indoor only home where he can be spoiled rotten. Please help us find this for him and Garfield! Online Application Form http://ittybittykitty.org/online-application/ All cats are up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and are spayed or neutered if they are 5 months of age or older. Our adoption fee also includes the microchip and lifetime registration for all of our cats and kittens. Kittens adopted under the age of 5 months will come back to Itty Bitty Kitty, Inc. to be spayed or neutered as part of our adoption agreement. All of this care is included in our adoption fee of only $100.00!

Would not do well with children under 12. We love this little boy. He smiles at you. It is the funniest thing! He does need a bit of house training. Are you the family willing to help this little boy learn some manners? He is such a loving boy. Fill out our application on our website and let's get this boy into a "furever" home. Adoption fee $300 ~Little Nugget's Rescue covers GA and surrounding states for adoptions. We require a fenced yard (exceptions made on a case by case basis - NO exceptions for puppies or deaf/vision impaired dogs), that all other animals in the home be up to date on vaccinations as well as being spayed/neutered and that all dogs live inside as a part of the family. Seraphinah

Mason

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bulls-Eye Tabby!Mason was born 9/9/2013. He is an Extremely Handsome Bulls-Eye Tabby and possible Sokote Mix! Mason plays well with his brother Mario and other cats. He is so wanting affection and will actually cry at you to get a petting.Mason has such large feet that they look as if they belong to another cat because he has not been eating like he should. We discovered this boy has an autoimmune disease called stomatitis. He had been in so very much pain for so long with his mouth. He recently had all his teeth removed in hopes of clearing the disease but that has not happened.Recent studies indicate that the auto-immune disease, stomatitis is most likely caused by fleas. Fleas can carry all sorts of nasty diseases and parasites. It is most likely that before Mason came to us he had been bitten by a flea infected with hemobartonella, which in turn triggered the auto-immune disease stomatitis. We are currently trying try stem cell therapy as there has been a case in California where it cured the cat from this disease. This is an expensive treatment but it is our only chance for saving his life. This disease is otherwise, neither manageable or curable. Please help Mason get his stem cell therapy by sponsoring him.

Mallory

Mallory is a lovely little calico kitty. She is a very affectionate little purr-box, once she gets to know you. She is sometimes a bit nervous with new people and in new environments, but she soon warms up and her wonderful personality shines through. She's very playful and energetic and loves to play laser tag with her human friends. She also enjoys playing with her kitty buddies. Mallory and her 4 litter mates were born in May, 2015, to a mommy kitty that was living outdoors. When the kittens were about 6 weeks old, they had the opportunity to all join a rescue group. They are now all INDOOR kitties, and love it. Mallory gets along very well with the other cats in the rescue room.
