BOB the PILOT (aka Tucker)

DOB: 04/30/2016 Weight: 25lbs Adoption fee: $350 *(Adoption fee includes the neuter/spay surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) So many good things to say about Bob the Pilot (aka Tucker). Tucker was adopted from us years ago and came back to us after his family could no longer care for him. His hair was falling out due to poor nutrition and he was in overall rough shape. Tucker has since been in a great foster home where he is receiving top notch care, his hair is growing back and he's happier than ever. You'll find Tucker to be a great companion. He loves to be with his family, play with toys and and wrestle with other dogs of any size. He is housetrained and walks well on a leash and would do best with kids 10+. Tucker has not been tested with cats. Our adoption process and application can be found at: https://www.sunnyskysshelter.org/our-adoption-process For other questions on our dogs/cats please send an email to info@sunnyskysshelter.org for information on a meet and greet as well as application procedures.

Furbie

Hi I'm Furbie! I am a senior cat that was found abandoned on the streets of Baltimore. I'm looking for my match someone who can give me a warm place to sleep, plenty of food, and of course love. Likes: food, a warm place to sleep, cuddles, love Dislikes: being abandonded, living on the street. If we match I promise you won't be disappointed! I have lots of love and purrs to share with you! To learn more about this kitty, please email adopt@catsrusrescue.org or submit an adoption application online at https://catsrusrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application All of our cats and kittens are rescues. They are mixed breed unless otherwise noted. If a cat or kitten is designated as a particular breed we do not have papers to verify the breed information. We assign breeds to our cats and kittens based on similar appearance, size, and temperament as described in the breed description of a purebred cat. Our adoption fee is $120.00 for kittens under 1 year (2 for $200), $100 for cats over 1 year (2 for $180), and $150 - $250 for exotic breed cats or kittens. We do not have our own spay/neuter clinic so the adoption fee we charge helps our rescue pay for a portion of vet fees incurred to prepare a cat or kitten for adoption. The adoption fee includes a wellness exam, spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, FeLV and FIV testing (negative/negative unless otherwise noted), treatment for parasites (fleas, ticks, intestinal worms, ear mites), and microchipping.

Frida

Hello! I’m Frida! I am a black and white tuxedo kitten born in early August. My mom is Molly. Isn’t she beautiful? I have four siblings, Cecilia, Georgia, Matisse, and Cezanne. We were born outside and a nice lady brought us into the rescue. We have been enjoying the posh indoor life ever since! I love to play with toys, cats, people, etc. I really love Cat TV on YouTube and enjoy watching my foster mom play games on her phone. I love to curl up on her chest and take a nap. I do like to give a few kisses if you will let me. I have a sweet tiny meow that I will greet you with when you get home from work. I also have excellent indoor manners. My mom taught me well! I would love to be adopted with one of my siblings. Cecilia, Georgia, Matisse, and Cezanne are all excellent kitties. We all love each other and get along with each other very well. I will be ready to go to my forever home in mid November. If Frida’s sweet face and story have captivated you, please go to https://arcrescuetx.com/adopt and fill out a no-obligation adoption inquiry. Adoptions in the Dallas Metro area.

Kiwi

Name: Kiwi Age: 1-2 Gender: Female Breed: American Pitbull Terrier Weight: 40 pounds Crate trained: Yes Potty trained: Yes Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown  Kid friendly: Unknown Vaccinated: Yes Spayed/Neutered: Yes Heartworm: Negative  Microchipped: Yes Energy level: Medium to high. Kiwi loves to play and chew on her toys. Already plays fetch well with a tennis ball. Will relax with a toy or to cuddle as well.  Save money on a gym membership when you adopt the strongest little pittie this side of the Mississippi. Screw resistance bands… Kiwi’s rope-pulling abilities will have your lats in fighting shape in no time. She’ll have your heart rate climbing as she confidently runs up flights of stairs. And who needs kettlebells when this 40 pound muscle mama will occasionally go limp at the thought of using her own legs to descend said stairs? Plus, with her incredible stamina for long walks, this gal will ensure your cardio fitness. ??But don’t let the muscly exterior fool you. Kiwi has the bodily awareness of a bumbling teenager. Her strange cuddles and toothy kisses will have you recalling memories of your gangly high school lover. Kiwi has a lot of love to give and is still learning how to appropriately express it. Kisses can turn to affectionate nibbles and sometimes likes to give your hand a little chomp while playing, but she has been easily deflected to turn that mouth love to the appropriate toys instead. She’s incredibly treat driven and still quite skinny, but eager to learn and to eat! We’ve used a toy to slow down her eating as she acts like it's her first time seeing food every time. She’s taking to training rather quickly, already having accident free days and going near our door when wanting time outside to go to the bathroom. She doesn’t mind crate time either; a couple cries at first on occasion but she quickly settles down for some nap time. She’s also loving going on walks! No barking at other dogs or barking in general yet. ?We believe Kiwi would thrive in an active home with people who would love to tire Kiwi out on long walks, or a home with another dog to play with. Kiwi has done incredibly well with the two other dogs we’ve introduced her to. She’ll definitely need attention and enrichment and some training, and will reward your patience with a way-too-big-for-her-body sized head on your lap.  If you're interested in meeting Kiwi, please fill out an application at the link below. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DHDN/Dog

Harker

Harker is RIDICULOUS. We've never met a hippo this sweet! She'll just lay there smiling while you smoosh her face, belly up, and fall asleep... snoring like a baby. Love pours out of her for every living thing... people, dogs, cats, birds, we suspect she could even love a cockroach. She's especially gentle and sweet with children. Harker is 10 years old and a small but dense 45 lbs. She was rescued from a hoarding situation in Texas, having lived in squalor all her life with multiple dogs, cats, and kids. Perhaps her hard life made her the way she is now - mild-mannered, unflappable, kind. Harker is fostered in Brooklyn and is available for adoption anywhere in the US as long as the adopter is willing and able to travel to NYC to meet and adopt her. Cato

Cato cat, that’s me. I’m a 5-month-old, orange tabby and white male kitten who was found in LeRoy with my sister Vanessa and seven much younger kittens. The youngsters all went to a foster home for a bit. ‘Nessa an’ me, we’re hanging out at the shelter so we can be adopted. My name means “wise,” but that doesn’t mean I’m a wise guy. I’m actually shy, more than my sister, and I, um, get very vocal when I’m nervous, just so you know. I do like being petted, though, and I play. I do like to play. So, maybe, you know, I think I’d feel better, um, more confident, I guess, if I could be with ‘Nessa or even another cat for a friend. Is that okay to say that? You’ll like me, I think. I’m a nice, gentle boy. Okay, then. Bye. Cato. Adoption fee $150 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Birch ($150 Adoption fee)

Our next transport date will be Friday/Saturday, November 6th/7th. Please see below for pick-up locations. We cannot do meet and greets with the puppies. The transport trip is hard and long and it's too long for a puppy to be in a vehicle if he had to return to Texas. We do not take deposits. All adoption fees are paid in person at pick-up. We were able to save Birch and his brother Blaze on their very last day of life from a high kill shelter in a neighboring county. They are both beautiful and a gorgeous blue grey color. Birch is a very friendly boy always ready to snuggle up for pets and affection. I haven't had a chance to test him with cats, but we can, and I think he would do fine. He is good around the horses without chasing. Birch has gotten along great with all the dogs here and has been gentle when playing with the younger puppies too. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. If you are interested in one of our dogs, please do not delay completing the application. There is always a high interest in our puppies, and applications are processed for approvals as they are received when at all possible. Using the link or copying and pasting the link is the quickest way to get the application to us. https://form.jotform.com/222705071398154 The total adoption fee $150 (Birch has a sponsor) includes transport to designated locations: Collinsville, Springfield, Bloomington, Oglesby, and Roscoe, IL. Sun Prairie, and Fon Du Lac, WI. *St Louis area adopters would meet us in Collinsville, IL (this pick-up will be Friday evening). Springfield, Bloomington, and Oglesby pick-ups are also Friday evening. **Green Bay and Sheboygan adopters will meet us in Fon Du Lac. ***Joliet and Davenport area adopters will meet us in Ogelsby or Roscoe, IL. ****MILWAUKEE _ We don’t have a Milwaukee stop this time but do have 2 stops in WI and will be stopping in Roscoe, IL. Most of our puppies will travel with two rounds of vaccines and sometimes three. Occasionally we will not have had them long enough for the second round. You will receive vaccination records for your puppy prior to transport. Our puppies less than 6-8 months old will not be spayed or neutered, and the cost of out-of-state surgery is not included in our adoption fees. Spaying and neutering is an adoption contract requirement that it will be done by the puppy's first birthday. This will be at the expense of the adopter. Atlanta Texas Area Spay Neuter Project is a 501c3; proceeds go back to spaying and neutering dogs for low-income families in the Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana area and the care of puppies and dogs that we take in. If needed, we assist low-income families with emergency vet expenses for their current pets. All our dogs will be in foster care in Texas until they are adopted. We cannot guarantee breed. We do our best based on the appearance of the pup and the mother if she is known to us. We rarely know the father of the puppies and litters of puppies can have more than one father. In other words, the litter can be full of half siblings with different fathers for the puppies. Visit our Facebook page: Atlanta Texas Area Spay/Neuter Project

Paprika

Paprika is a funny, goofy, loving ball of energy!! She is a German Shepard pup, approximately 9 months old, that is the epitome of her breed. She has a lot of energy and can get bored quickly, but is sweet as can be and very affectionate. She has been in foster with multiple other dogs of all breeds and she has gotten along well with them all. She also has been in foster with a cat and has done well. She also has been around children as young as 2 years of age with no issues. Because of her energy level still always suggest supervision with kids. Paprika loves to be outside running, playing fetch, or playing with other dogs. She loves going on walks and although we are still working on leash manners she has been doing great. Potty training is still a work in progress. She will go potty every time she goes outside but is still learning how to hold her bladder for longer periods of time. She is kenneled during the day when no one is home. When she gets bored and is unsupervised she has been destructive with chewing. The chewing is still very much a puppy behavior that she can easily be redirected from when supervised and has improved with training. Paprika will need an owner that is willing to continue with her training and can accommodate her energy level. In return she will be your best friend and most loyal companion. She is a wonderful pup with so much love to give. She is hysterical and will make you laugh ever day. All dogs are brought current on their vaccinations up to the point of adoption. Parasite protection is also done with dewormings, flea/tick prevention application, and heartworm prevention. If old enough a heartworm test is done. The spay/neuter and microchip are included in the adoption fee. All our dogs go to their new homes with their collar/leash, dog bed, favorite toy(s), bowls, and some food to acclimate them. For adoption consideration, please fill out an application from our website at (www.causeforpaws.net) Adoption fee is $400 donation. Please also read about our adoption process and requirements on the website.
