Faro

Reintroducing Faro...this sweet girl came into rescue about 4 years ago. In November of 2018 she was diagnosed with cancer, but given her young age at the time (4), we opted to give her every chance and so she started chemo. She finished up in March of 2019 and has been doing great ever since; in fact, all through chemo, she never missed a beat. She has gone for routine ultrasounds and x-rays and her doctor states everything looks good. Faro has, so far, been given a second chance when we pulled her into rescue (she was slated for euthanasia), and another second chance when we decided she was worth the time and expense of chemo.....our hope now is that she can find that special person to give her yet once more chance to show what a wonderful dog she is.... Faro is very loving; she would do great as a walking buddy; loves the car and is also just as content to be a couch potato. She does well with most dogs, so a proper introduction would be a must; she ignores the cats in her foster home. We would love to have a happily ever after for this precious girl.... Faro is spayed, micro-chipped, UTD on vaccines and on heartworm preventative.

ROXY 5

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. MEET ROXY 5!! **Please Note: This is a courtesy post for another rescue; different adoption fees/policy apply. Roxy is a happy, loving girl who loves attention and could be pet all day! She smiles -- so cute. Roxy loves the park, swimming, and desert walks. She's very friendly and likes people, dogs, and children. She plays fetch and loves tennis balls, toys, and shredding things (put your shoes away!). Due to Roxy's physical strength and lack of leash training, she needs a strong, active owner who will help her with further training. She knows basic commands (come, no, sit) but she often ignores them if she is distracted. Roxy is beginning to understand "stay, heel, no bark, and stop" but needs additional training. Roxy has a tendency to happily bark as people walk by, and we are currently working on that. She responds very well to positive reinforcement, such as "Good girl, no bark!" as she very much wants to please. Roxy may display protective reactions around the home area and is a good watchdog. She has learned a lot in short period of time, wants to be where you are and is a good friend and companion! Due to obesity, Roxy 5 requires strict diet, thyroid medication, and exercise daily. For more information or to meet this pet, please complete an application or send email to info@underdogaz.com If you're reading this via a pet-search site, please view this pet's page at www.UnderdogAZ.com/animals for more photos and details.

Mr.Biggs

I'm Mr. Biggs. I’m timid until I get to know you, but once I start to trust you I’m a real sweetie. After all, I did used to have a family before coming here. But sadly my owner brought me to Sierra's Haven to wait for a new home due to a change in her lifestyle. That was in July, 2016, when I was around 4 years old. If you give me some time and patience, I would love to be someone's companion one again. And I get along with other cats, too. My adoption fee includes the cost of me being neutered, dewormed, leukemia tested, and up-to-date on vaccinations and flea prevention. Please call or come by to meet me! You may be the one I chose to love! ------------For more information please call 740-353-5100. All cats are to be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and dewormed before the adoption process is completed. Birth dates and ages are approximate. Cubby

Cubby is a gray and white male. He was found with his two brothers, Indy and JoJo, by a court reporter. When he first arrived, they was not the most sociable kittens. Cubby spent most of his kittenhood with his brother JoJo in one of our kitten rooms. Cubby is a little more shy than his brother but all that time with kittens has made him more friendly and playful. He and his brother have now moved into our cat room three. He, like his brother JoJo , is still looking for someone to post his bail and take him to the freedom of his forever home.

Foster Help Needed

Limbo Chihuahuas - Chihuahua Rescue is a network of foster homes. We do not have a shelter. All animals are fostered in private homes where they receive love, socialization, and training. This enables us to understand their behaviors more clearly and help match them with the appropriate family, so the adoption will be a forever, happy and successful placement. We focus on educating our adopters and the community about spaying and neutering of animals, and why it is so critical for the healthy life of animals, as well as to help reduce the number of animals that are euthanized daily. We specialize in Chihuahuas and Chihuahua Mixes. Check out our website and fill out an application to foster. http://www.limbochihuahuas.org/ photo credit: rchumanesociety.org.

Primrose

Primrose (about 7 years old as of April, 2023) is a female black tuxedo shorthaired cat. Primrose was born to a feral mother cat who had literally been dumping her kittens at one of our caretakers' house for years. They finally caught her but she was about to give birth, so these lucky kittens have been inside their whole lives. Although Prim was the last kitten to decide people were good despite what her wild mama told her she has made a big turn around and is now a super well adjusted and loving little girl. She follows her foster mom around like a lovesick puppy. She likes to quietly bug her people for attention, sitting and staring at them expectantly until they give in and pet her! Primrose purrs over just about anything in the comfort of her foster home and although she doesn't always love being picked up held she loves to cuddle on the couch for hours at time getting petted, getting little kisses on her little muzzle, and returning the affection by chewing on her friend's hair. She chirps with delight when she is really excited about something and loves to play. Prim has done well at adoption events with kids when she was younger but we think in her forever home she'd do better with older children. She gets along great with other cats but her favorite cat in the whole world is her sister Daisy, and after many years they don't do well separated, so we're looking for a family that could open their home to both of them. She hasn't had any dog experience and at her age may not be able to keep an open mind on them.

This fee includes: Spay/Neuter, microchip, all current vaccinations, and flea/tick treatment. Our dogs are also given monthly heart worm medication in our care. Daisy

Daisy (about 7 years old as of April, 2023) is a female black and white shorthaired cat. Daisy was born to a feral mother cat who had literally been dumping her kittens at one of our caretakers' house for years. They finally caught her but she was about to give birth, so these lucky kittens have been inside their whole lives. Daisy is a very vocal kitty who likes to meow about things as she goes through her day and will sometimes call out to figure out where people are if she wanders off alone expecting someone to call back to her or come find her. That sounds awfully needy but she is actually the most independent kitty from her litter. She is sweet and affectionate but doesn't want to cuddle until she is done playing and doesn't feel the need to be on top of someone smothering them every time she gets a few pets. That said, when she is in full cuddle mode she loves serious, firm pets so strong they pull the skin around her eyes back and exaggerate her already naturally silly long skinny face. She is very energetic and alert which can make her seem jumpy or skittish, but it's really just her goofy, playful nature showing. She does well with older kids and mostly gets along okay with most of the other cats in her foster home, but has had conflicts with a few of them and mostly keeps to herself so she might prefer living with only the one cat she always gets along with- her sister Primrose. We're hoping we can find a family willing to take them both, as the last time we tried to separate them they both were miserable. She hasn't ever lived with a dog and with her more sensitive nature and at her age she would probably be overwhelmed.

Kylo Jace

Kylo is as goofy as they get! He is currently part of our Canine Enrichment Program because Kylo can be people selective. He is very loyal and loving with all his handlers and gets very excited to see his friends. Kylo is not a fan of vet care, but he has been doing very well with being muzzled while receiving vet care. Kylo LOVES car rides, fluffy beds, and tasty snacks! He has long beautiful wavy hair and will smile proudly when he wants to show off his freshly brushed hair. Kylo is part of our RACE (Runner Assisted Canine Exercise) Team and does well both while exercising and being around so many dogs. He will let you dress him up and take his picture. After a long fun day, Kylo will gently lay his head on your lap for affection. Kylo will need a patient and experienced owner who will be understanding of Kylo's special needs and loyal nature. If you are interested in learning more about Kylo or have questions, please contact the SPCA of Anne Arundel County and ask to speak to a member of the Canine Enrichment Team.
