Gob

About us - Small Town Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non profit organization that fosters felines out of rescuer own homes. We hope to open our own cat sanctuary within the next few years. We assist with local cat colonies and practice TNR as well as intake friendly strays to foster homes who are then socialized and provided medical care so they are set up for successful adoptions. What you need to know - * All cats and kittens come fixed, vaxxed, dewormed, deflead (paperwork included). Not every kitten pictured is of weight to get fixed, there may be a few week waiting period. Rabies cannot be done until cat is 12 weeks old. If kitten is adopted prior to 12 weeks you are responsible for rabies. Indoor/outdoor or strictly outdoor cats do not leave until rabies is administered. * 1 kitty is $60 or 2 for $100- this fee goes directly back to the organizations who assist me in spay/neuters. * I always recommend kittens in pairs- Google is a great resource for information regarding why pairs are a good practice. * Keep in mind these cats are a lifetime commitment. Make sure you are financially, physically, and stable enough to adopt one. * We work on finding the BEST homes for each kitty. It is not first come first serve. * Ages are estimated * Please send a personal message to our Facebook page @smalltowncatrescue or to our email smalltowncatrescue@gmail.com if you have any questions and/or if you submit an application. * Located in Clymer/Indiana PA Application - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdaaC1HiwYBR3z0bEUkeIpx2ewrg6uFGm-Y6NZya0Sd7r-5xQ/viewform About GOB -

GEORGE

Jon Katz observed that "Dog love is powerful stuff." This reminds us of our sweet George, who has so much love to give the family lucky enough to take him home! Why we love him: George is a sweet and loving dog and we adore spending time with him. George is such a great dog! He is 2 1/2 years old and weighs 48 pounds, so he is a fine choice if you want to adopt a medium sized dog. He is a great on a leash and is a well mannered companion who enjoys daily walks. George truly savors your company! George has such fun in the fenced yard, where he enjoys zooming around and playing. He will also lay in the grass and roll around in total joy. It's such a joy to see! He also has the best time playing with the toys. George has enjoyed play dates with his fellow shelter canines. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility. George is so friendly and easygoing and is so grateful for attention and affection. He loves everyone, and has such a happy doggie smile. He is such a sweetheart! One of our volunteers observes: "The more time you spend with George the more he shows love back. He has the cutest playful side and whimpers with excitement when he knows you. George is also a great hiking or potential running partner, He wants to please and checks in often with those big sweet eyes of his." George has enjoyed outings at local parts and loves to explore the trails. He also likes riding in the car. George truly has a heart full of love he can't wait to share with you! Pavel

?? Happiness is a Husky! Lots of people love the Husky personality- social, fun-loving, happy-go-lucky- and of course their beauty. Pavel the 1 year old Siberian Husky is that and more. He’s especially affectionate and quite biddable (not usually a classic Husky trait??), and is…get this…medium energy! I know! He’s also medium size, maybe 47-50 lbs at a guess, and could be a Husky mix. Pavel loves attention and is getting used to being brushed; like a lot of the sled breeds coming in to the shelter, his coat needed some care. Like most Huskies he has a constant smile but also checks in frequently and his tail is usually softly wagging. He’s such a charmer. He will play ball by himself and then flop near you and ask for belly rubs. He’s also easy on leash (stop the presses!) and adorably lay down and patiently waited for me when I had to stop to reply to a text during our walk. I’m smitten?. He’s such a merry soul! If you are thinking of adopting a dog, please come meet this joyful fluff soon. If you have a dog or dogs in the home, please bring them and leave them in your vehicle; staff will facilitate dog to dog introductions between the shelter dog and yours. I am a volunteer; all opinions, photos and video are my own. Adoptable from Hitchcock Road Animal Services, 160 Hitchcock Rd., Salinas. Peter

Approx DOB: July 2024 When Peter first came into his foster home, his beautiful fur was all matted and flea bitten, but now, he is turning into the most gorgeous kitten, with such a sweet and loving personality to match. He loves his friends, his wet food snacks, belly rubs and the laser most. Peter came in with several kittens from his colony, but seems to spend the most time with his buddy Mary, and would love to be adopted with her. Peter is a bit timid of strangers at first, but warms up easily when given the chance. Please note: Cats and kittens are social creatures and greatly benefit from being with other pets; therefore, kittens under the age of 6 months cannot be adopted as single pets. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are: Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125 Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100 Seniors (8+ years) = $80 Please also read our Core Values prior to applying at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations. If you are interested in adopting a kitty(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet kitties you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process. Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. Check out our website on how to become a Foster Parent! Visit www.furryfriendsnetwork.com and look under Foster a Furry Friend. Glory

Glory came to us with her littermate Justice and was born outdoors in a trailer park. In spite of their difficult start in life, they are both thriving and ready to find their forever home! Glory has the softest fur and beautiful blue eyes, likely a Siamese and tabby mix with her distinctive coloring. She is a very active kitten, always on the move! She loves to play with Justice and especially enjoys running through tunnels, up on scratching posts and around their cat cave, chasing all kinds of toys. She also has a washcloth she loves to drag around! After playing, she will cuddle up on your lap or next to you for a nap! We believe that kittens are happiest when they have a feline friend so Glory will need to be adopted with Justice or another kitten or go to a home with an existing, very playful cat. Glory was born August 25, 2024 and has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $120. Glory and Justice are in a foster home so you will need to have an approved application to meet them. If you are interested in any of the cats or kittens at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during our open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4. Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within approximately a one hour drive from Grand Rapids.
