Hi, I'm Apricot! I am a female torbie kitten, which means I have brown tabby markings with orange color mixed in my soft medium coat. I was born on August 10th, 2024, I share my birthday with my playful sibling, Tangerine. We're quite the dynamic duo! My days are filled with joy and energy, as I love exploring my surroundings and engaging in playtime. My bravery often surprises people, but it's just part of who I am. When I'm not adventuring, I'm the sweetest cuddle companion. I love to curl up and enjoy a gentle pat, purring contentedly. Despite my zest for life, I also have a calm side. I'm known for my gentle nature and my ability to make anyone's day brighter. I am also great with other cats, don't mind the canine species, and I think kids are great! I have been living with kids as young as 2 years old. I am also litterbox trained. I don't mind being pampered, meaning I love to be brushed, and don't even mind my nails being trimmed. If you're looking for a playful, brave, and cuddly companion, I'm the kitten for you! Let's create unforgettable memories together.
An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet/greet can be set up. http://yvpr.org/catadoptionapplication.html)
If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes.
Meet/greets and adoptions take place at a site chosen by the adoption coordinator. If the cat you wanted to adopt is no longer available, please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through and it may be relisted. Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
The adoption fee covers vaccinations and worming. Flea treatment and veterinary care will be provided if necessary. If you are from out of town you will need a pre-paid spay/neuter receipt from your own veterinarian.

Thank you for thinking adoption and Good Luck!
