Ferdinand

Hi, I’m Ferdinand, AKA Fergie, and I am looking for a love connection! A little about me: I’m approximately 10 years old and neutered so I won’t be chasing after the ladies. I enjoy long walks on a leash, treats, and cuddles and scritches on the couch next to my hooman. I want to learn my commands but am taking a little longer so patience and repetition are a must. I’m not ashamed to say that I am a jealous fella and won’t share my hooman with other critters so I MUST be the only four-legged fella in your life! I am a pibble so am prone to skin tumors which I have had surgery for, but they may come back. They do NOT affect my quality of life so no worries there! A little about you: Please be patient as I learn my new environment and commands...I really DO want to please you. Have a nice soft spot for me to lay next to you for cuddles. Have a collar and leash and be ready to go for walks every now and again, I need a change of pace occasionally. Be willing to play every now and again. I am getting older but, once in a while the zoomies creep up on me....just go with it. Must be willing and able to take me to the vet on a regular basis for basic care. (I HATE this but what can I do?) Please provide McDonald’s cheezburgers daily (ok I thought I would try that one and see if anyone notices hehe). Just have lots of love for me and I will provide it right back! Because I am an older gentleman my adoption fee has been paid by a good Samaritan. So....could we have a love connection? Remember to the world you are just a dog...but to the dog you are their world! If you think you might have the right home for me, please visit the Valhalla Canine Rescue website at www.valhallarescue.org and fill out an adoption application. Once our adoption coordinator receives and approves your application (which includes an in-person home check), they will contact you to set up an appointment to meet me or any of the other dogs in the rescue. THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING A VALHALLA RESCUE DOG!!!

Oliver and his sister Zoe were brought to the center as feral kittens, they are not bonded. He is still very shy and hesitant around humans and is usually observing from somewhere high up but he will come around with patience and dedication (he is SO worth it). We recommend that Oliver is adopted by a person who is knowledge of animal (cat) behavior. He loves other cats.

Timidi and Tessa

Playful. Loving. Sweet. Energetic. Cuddly. Sisters. Timidi and Tessa are all of these, although Timidi does need a little extra time to show you just how loving and affectionate she can be. These girls are torbies - which are tortoiseshell tabbies There were 3 more sisters in this litter - Tourmaline, Topaz, and Tamara - who are 3 almost-identical yellow tabbies.. Their mother is a beautiful tortoiseshell calico named Lisa. Three of the girls have been adopted, but Tessa, Timidi, and Lisa are still waiting for their fur-ever homes. They will all make wonderful additions to any family. This wonderful family of females was found living outdoors in a rural area. The man who found them was not able to give them the care they needed, so they all came into foster care in July, when the kittens were about 5 weeks old. They were all healthy, but under-nourished. With a constant supply of good food and lots of TLC, they flourished. Now Lisa and her 5 girls are ready for fur-ever homes of their own. The others can also be seen on this site. All of the girls are lovers - lots of purring, lots of energy, and lots of love and affection to give to their humans. They playing with each other, and with mom, of course, and they also enjoy playing with their kitty toys - balls with bells in them and feather toys. The girls were born in mid-June, 2012. They are spayed, up-to-date on vaccine and feline leukemia/FIV negative. If you'd like to meet Tessa, Timidi and/or Lisa, please contact Eloise, 570-428-2179 or ekeithan50@gmail.com. Don't delay - they're all waiting for that purr-fect family to call and invite them home.

Emily

JULY 2024 still available. Emily is a dapple bay mare who trusts her foster family but is too smart for her own good. The combination of her movement and excessive mane and tail indicates Morgan breeding. She is a very good-looking mare. She stands around 14'2 but seems bigger because of her presence. Emily received some personal attention last summer and she loved the company! Emily picks things up quickly and enjoys this fun new game. She can be approached but will need a lot more interaction before she could be haltered. We were told that she had been a riding horse previously but she has gone feral and would need a refresher course on all things human. Emily would need someone who is making a long term commitment before she could become her best self. Emily has received over 10,000 looks but is still waiting for that special person to show interest in her.

Maximus

Maximus puts on a big show, but he is a true softie at heart. It may take him a few days to trust you, but once he does, you are his best friend! He follows me every time I go to a different room, even for just a second. When I first got him, he even missed me so much he gently climbed into my shower and just sat there staring at me, waiting for some pets. Max absolutely LOVES to go on walks, and one mile will satisfy him for hours. He comes home and takes a big nap when he is done, and in general, is a very calm, sleepy boy, as long as he gets his walk. If you take a chance on this big baby, he will love you forever and ever!! A bit about Max from a foster: Moderately active, Leash trained, Crate trained, Does well in a car, Likes toys, Obedient & Good with large dogs. He takes a little while to warm up to you but is very sweet once he does! ----------------------------------- Max's Story Maximus, once known as MacG, is one of the original Juno Pups. We rescued Juno back in October of 2013. She gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies at our vet's office, and each puppy went on to other foster or permanent homes as well as their mother, Juno. Maximus found a temporary home with some folks who no longer had the means to care for him. As is our promise to every dog we save or birth, in this case, we took Maximus back with loving and open arms. Maximus is such a fun, lovable pup with a hint of an old soul to him, just like his mother. He gets along great with other dogs and cats and warms up to new people after some TLC. Max is good with dogs, cats, and kids but would probably be best with older dog-savvy kids. He is, after all, a big boy. Behaviors not listed have yet to be tested. Check out #sdfMaximus on Facebook or streetdogfoundation.com/pup-profiles/maximus for more!

Zoe

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Our website is updated daily Zoe is spayed, UTD on vaccines and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Approx. DOB is June 26, 2010.*Experienced owner with veterinary references required.* Some day, I'm going to write my autobiography. It might take a while, since I'm a cat and all, but I have lots of stories to share with the world. It all started when I was just a baby. My brother and I ventured out on our own at just three-weeks of age. Well, now I know why kittens are supposed to stay with their mama until they are at least eight-weeks-old. We ended up trapped in a window well, which was rapidly filling with water during a tropical storm. Luckily, we were rescued, and I'm am still here to tell my tail...err, tale. Since then, I've been living in a foster home. I've met lots of other cats, and boy do I have some funny stories! Speaking of funny- my foster mom says I have a great sense of humor. I like to play with the laces on her shoes- while she's still wearing them-and lick her finger when she pets me. I love getting pets, and curling up with my foster family in bed. When it comes to new people though, I'm quite bashful! It takes me a while to warm up to new people and new situations, and I will need a nice looong acclimation period when I go to my forever home. I get along great with other cats, so I'd love to have a brother or sister. So, here's the first chapter in my story- I hope you will be a part of my next chapter! If you're interested in adopting Zoe, please fill out an application at www.nar.rescuegroups.org.

Sprite

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sprite is spayed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and is up-to-date on shots. Born Feb. 2010.Sprite is one of NAR's long term fosters. This little lady is a low key kitty! We think Sprite has been around for a while because she doesn't go to events. She's quite the homebody who gets pretty stressed with the temporary change of environment. Sprite would be happiest in an adult only household where she could be queen of the castle! She gets along with other cats, but would also be just fine being the only cat in the home. She'll come running to greet you at the door and sleep next to you at night. If you're looking for some quiet companionship, beautiful Sprite fits the bill!***Sprite was trapped in Northeast Philadelphia during a TNR. When she first came into foster care we weren't sure how Sprite would adjust. Since she was probably born outside, she was very shy of people and not very trusting. To our delight, Sprite decided that humans are okay and even bring her a little joy which of course includes cat treats! We think playing with the feather toy is her favorite game. When she finally needs some rest, she jumps in bed with her foster mom and purrs away.If you're interested in adopting Sprite, please fill out an application at nar.rescuegroups.org 9/20/24 2:35 PM

Jack - Sponsored by Stephan S.

DOB: September 2008 - SponsorshipMeet Jack: Special Needs: Sprays to mark his territory As large in love as he is in size, sweet, emerald-eyed Jack gives new meaning to the term joyful. Thirsty for human attention and affection, the onetime stray is happiest when being petted on any welcoming lap while he purrs in pure kitty contentment. Curious, with a nose that needs to know, he follows everyone around to keep his paws on the pulse of the shelter and all its activities. Sadly, losing his sight, it neither stifles his spirit nor slows his step as he frisks and frolics and, best of all, snuggles. Because he marks his territory, we will be his 'fur-ever' home.
