Radcliffe

Greetings from Clarkson, KY dear humans! My name is Radcliffe and I am interviewing candidates for the position of Permanent Personal Assistant and Purveyor of Num Nums to Radcliffe, the Grande Kitty of the Foster Castle Clarkson. I have been forced to use this channel of communication because, according to the rules, I don’t technically qualify for my own Facebook account, since I am…..GASP! A cat! Yes, like you, I am outraged but I believe it best to set this scandal aside and focus our attention on three topics of utmost importance: me, me and me! I am indeed a cat, as you can see! Since this is about me, I will of course not run on and on here but let’s do get to the pressing matter of me and my need for a loving, permanent living arrangement, which of course should include the various accoutrements to which I am accustomed to, such as, of course, a doting human who will assist me with my meals and water, the laundering of my bed, fluffing of my pillow, the acquisition and distribution of cat nip and various kitty treats, transportation to the veterinary doctor for routine care, the combing of my luxurious coat, petting, the opening of the many small gifts which I hope to receive, petting, and of course we shouldn’t omit my other needs such as petting, provisions such as toys, balls with bells in them, feather doo-dads, my place on the sofa, and the occasional introduction of my favorite species of moth into my living environment on odd numbered days of the week during the summer, and as relates to the important subject of my naps, the availability of a bright and very warm place just below a window as the sun streams through the glass between the hours of 9 am and 2:45 pm each day. You must step around me during these hours while not waking me. I will wake briefly for a meal and drink at 2:45 pm before resuming my nap, so you must be able to do without my assistance until I wake up. I shall cuddle with you then, should you require my devoted attention. My foster mother describes me in less formal terms because, of course, she is a human. She says that I am about two and a half years old and that I make her… laugh. I can assure you that I am not attempting to be funny, although that always seems to be the result. I overheard her telling a volunteer recently that I am “rather attached to my playthings” and that I like to carry them around while I “trill and mew.” She also went on to describe my attempts to communicate with her, and I quote, “He talks to his person a lot and he likes to sit and relax with you.” She also described my reproductive potential as “zilch, zip, zero and nada.” I have apparently been duped into being neutered a good while ago, though the memory of it seems not to come to me. Oh better this, than to find my kittens without the luxuries of homes and affection, I should think. She also told the volunteer that I am “large.” I feel the need to clarify that I am not a fat cat. I am, as human women like to say, tall, muscular and very, very handsome. I am sorry, locks of my hair are no longer available to my fans, so should you want me, you must have all of me. Forever. You will find my latest publicity photo attached. If you would like to fill out a “job” application, you will find it here: http://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/4ha73WyiHUfM3N56 Do note that I am neutered, up to date on vaccinations and that transportation via carriage to other states is often an available option.

Maddie Purrkins

This darling girl is Maddie Purrkins. Isn’t she the cat’s meow?! Maddie is currently in a foster home here in Clarkson, Kentucky. She has been waiting for a special person or family to call her own for about 9 years now. We think you’ll agree with her that she’s waited long enough and it’s time for her to find that special love in a special home that she so deserves! Could we be describing you? Maddie is about 9 years old now and is just a tad on the large side for a lady cat (but shhhhh, don’t tell her that we said that). She’s very sweet, loving and playful and is simply a joy to have around. She really is every bit as cute as her name implies! She loves spending time with her person and seems to be somewhat computer literate, as you can see by looking at her photo. If you’re looking for a forever feline friend who loves to cuddle, Maddie is the girl for you! She’d love to have a special place in your heart! She is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and ready to begin the best part of her life journey: being loved by someone like you! Because our organization and our foster homes here are in a rural area, finding adoptive homes for our homeless cats is quite a challenge and they often wait for a very long time to finally have homes. Transport is often available so distance shouldn’t stand between you and Maddie Purrkins. PLEASE SHARE Maddie Purrkins with your friends and help her to find her new home. If you’d like to fill out an adoption application for Maddie Purrkins, please visit this link: http://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/4ha73WyiHUfM3N56 To learn more about our organization, please explore our Facebook page. We’d love for you to like us while you’re here!

Clawson Cooper

Clawson was born just a day before his mom found refuge in a Save Grayson Cats foster home.  His mother, Bean Blossom, did a wonderful job of raising this big boy.  Clawson is approx 1-1/2 years old and has been waiting to find his forever home for many, many months.  This big boy is full of love but is very hesitant in new situations.  He still lives in foster care with his mom and all his siblings.  Please contact us if you would like to learn more about this big handsome guy!

Delta

Delta is a female Tabby who was born about 12/10, she is good with cats, dogs and children. She is also spayed, up to date on shots, FIV/FeLV negative. Delta acquired her name from one of her mom's favorite airplane companies,Delta. Why did Delta's foster mom name her after an Airline, that would be because Delta was living at an airport. We thought an airport was not the safest place for a sweet gal like Delta so she entered our adoption program and is now looking for a safe haven to lay her down everynight.

Michael

A personal endorsement from Mikey's best volunteer-friend: "Man, I love this dog. Michael (aka Monkey) is my all-time favorite pup at the shelter. Many years ago, I was 'volunteered' to clean Michael's ears. Michael is really a sweet pup, but he isn't one to trust people very easily, so while ear-cleaning seems like an easy task, it took some finesse. Once I figured it out, it became our weekly date and we became fast friends. While I do sneak an ear-cleaning in, it's mostly just a play session, loads of silliness, butt scratches, belly rubs and a hound dog howl as a grand finale!" *** Michael (est. birthdate April '08) is an owner surrender - twice. The first time Michael came to STAF it was because he was turned in to a high kill shelter. The person doing the transport that day couldn't pass this dog up. He was incredibly sweet and very friendly. Still is to this day. Michael soon found a home through STAF and it turns out that this sweet and loving dog sometimes takes the affection he receives a bit too far and began to claim his owner as his own. Michael has a lot going for him: not a lot of energy, happy with just a few walks a day, housebroken. He got along just fine with all in the home as well as the dog. Michael is going to need a teenager/adult only home who is going to be strong enough to let him know who the leader of the pack is. You'll have to be able to assert yourself in the beginning, letting him know that he is going to do what you ask him to do. You'll have to be able to say no when you see that cute as pie face staring up at you. You're not being mean about it all. He needs jobs to do, sitting for everything, gathering toys or playing mind games. Take him to training classes for your date night. Once he's safe from the worry of always having to wonder if you're always going to love him, he'll be a stress free, happy dog. If you start off on day one this is not a time consuming change your life kind of thing. It something that you'll need to guide Michael with. He is well worth it! • All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots. • We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home. • You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF. • We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs. • Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences. • We do request vet and personal references. • We can facilitate adoptions within a 75-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.

Sonny

Sonny is an easy going gelding that gets along well with other horses. He is easy to handle and work with. However, he is mostly blind in his left eye, so he can get scared at times. He would best be suited as a pasture pal. Hooved Animal Humane Society 10804 McConnell Rd Woodstock, IL 60098 www.hahs.org 815-337-5563

Drake aka Little man

Thinking of adding to your family? Miss hearing the pitter patter of little feet? Are you having empty nest syndrome? Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Drake, a male Lab mix born 8/9/10. I was found in a person's yard with my sister Dawn(who has already been adopted). I'm starting to think it was because she was more flashy than I was. I'm hoping someone can see how great of a pup I am. I am up to date on shots, spayed and current on heartworm prevention. Adopting me will not cause weight gain. You won’t have weird craving and I can satisfy your need for a little more activity around the house.

Amber

Sweet Amber is another Spindletop survivor from last summer's raid and seizure. They killed her friend Stella who was also boarded there. Amber is a special soul. She is a loving and wonderful companion. She is funny and squatty with her red satin-teen collar and will lay around all day if you let her. She loves watching tv with you and just being with humans. Amber is super trained, does down, leave it, off and walks wonderfully on lead. She is as charming and quirky as they come and a truly special dog. Amber, like all of the Animals First and Reunion Rescue dogs, is crate and house-trained, raw fed and homeopathically treated. We have a wonderful foster to adopt program and lifetime guarantee for all our dogs. Please contact doggirl1@earthlink.net to arrange a meet and greet with Amber at the Reunion Rescue No-Kill Refuge. Stella

Amber and Stella were left chained and noosed to a fence bordering a vacant lot in Houston, Texas in the heat of the summer. Stella's ears had been butchered off with blood running down the sides of her head. We raised enough money to get them into boarding, but are still struggling to pay the vet bill for spay procedures. Please consider visiting www.reunionrescue.com and donating via the Paypal button to help fix these girls so they can go to their forever homes. Amber and Stella were let down by society, but they are wonderful girls. They are very social and friendly, but we're seeking homes without other female dogs. Contact us today to ask about our foster to adopt program, raw feeding and homeopathic treatment. Learn to feed your dog for 25 cents a day and never have to go to the vet.

Beans

She is hyperactive, but very sweet, not the best idea for small kids, meaning under 3, as she can knock them over. We also don't recommend alpha females. She is better with males, altho not the best sharing dog. If you are looking for a dog to take running, or do activities with and long walks she is a great option. She is like a wet noodle...but she is sweet. She is currently being crate trained and we are unsure of her home capacities. She was rescued out of MDAS in March 2011 when they had their mass evacuation and due to her breed and their BSL she was high on the list to be euthanized. She was quite thin when she was released and due to her activity levels she needs a steady diet of high protein. She deserves to be spoiled and trained 🙂 Since being here, she has slowed down a lot, has become more tolerant of other dogs, and is still best suited for a docile male. She is a hugger and loves to lean on you. She is just looking for someone to lay on the couch with and watch TV. Or play ball with 🙂

Rella--A Senior Lady with Vet Care Support for Life

Rella Female Short Hair Tuxedo Est. Age on Arrival (2/25/22) – 11 years, 10 months Free Vet Care Support for Life I’m Rella! I’d like to think it’s short for Cinderella, because boy, could I use a fairy godmother. After being born to a homeless mom I was lucky to spend most of my life with a nice man, but his health prevents him from caring for me any longer. Now in my senior years I’m a little betwixt and between at needing a new home. I’ve been a little grumpy with the other cats here, and with the volunteers—although I have expressed some enjoyment with ear scratches when approached carefully. What I need is a quiet place for me to transform into the companionable princess I used to be. Adoption Fee for Cats is $75.00 Adoption Fee for Kittens under the age of 1 year is 2 for $75.00 To view additional animals and find out more about The Animal League of Green Valley, visit our website at www.talgv.org or call (520) 625-3170 between 10 am and 2 pm Monday though Sunday.

Suzette

Suzette was found at a convenience store on 1-59 in December, 2010, frightened and hungry. A friend readily collected her as she was friendly, seeking help, love and affection. I adopted her on sight. She has lived with me amongst eight other cats, plus others in other rooms. Her personality blossomed after only a couple of weeks. She was "bussing" with other felines, flitting around and felt "fit-in." However, she did not join my bed with the others, she wanted a personal invitation! I invited her to sleep with me and now she sleeps right next to my pillow, every night. Suzette craves attention and loves to be kissed, hugged and petted. She appears shy at the adoption center; however, she is a different gal in everyday comfortable surroundings. She is also a talker! Please come visit her at the adoption center. I know she will steal your heart, the way she has stolen mine.
