Ginger-Oklahoma ONLY

No Out of State Adoptions-Oklahoma Only Ginger came in with her herd mates in 2018. She was an orphan foal the owners had gotten and raised. She leads and will stand to be groomed when consistency worked with. She wasn't taught a lot before coming here. She is shy to catch unless trusts or knows you. We are working to make her like people more. Ginger will never be ridden, she has SLD on the rear legs--her fetlocks are dropping but she still runs and plays in the pasture. She has several good years to live and give/receive love. She would be good for someone who wants to spend time building a relationship with a horse. Adoption application and contract required, STRICT NO breeding clause Adoption Fee: $350. coggins, vaccines, farrier, teeth, etc.

Ava - Bengal Tabby

Very Nice Kitty Adopt Sweet 8 year old Bengal Tabby Ava!! She is the best kitty with very pretty markings. She is "dog-like" and affectionate and comes when she is called. Ava loves high perches and takes great interest in watching birds and squirrels out the window. She is an active girl and one of her favorite hobbies is to drink water out of the faucet...it is adorable!! Ava would like to escape outdoors, however, so a new owner will have to keep an eye out for her! A home with vertical spaces would be ideal. Ava has no bad habits, is perfectly litter-trained, and would be a great companion kitty. Ava was adopted as a kitten in 2012. Her owner went to a senior facility and poor Ava ended up at an animal shelter before returning to Community Animal Network. She is just waiting for her chance at a forever home!! For more info, call or text DiAnna at 949-759-3646 or email at DiAnna@animalnetwork.org. Ava is being cared for by Community Animal Network, a non-profit organization founded by DiAnna Pfaff-Martin in 1996. C.A.N is a veterinary medical rescue that takes in stray cats and abandoned animals and helps rehabilitate them for life in forever homes. To donate to help cats like Ava, use our PayPal link: www.PayPal.Me/CommunityAnimal Or Mail checks to: Community Animal Network P.O. Francie

Francie has used up almost all of her nine lives with people who had to give up on her, so she wants to use her last one up in a forever home! Francie is looking for just the right person who will be understanding about her "twitchy" personality. She was declawed by previous guardians so has no choice but to bite when she needs to get her point across. Francie can be sweet and cuddly but also sassy. She has a great sense of humor. She is about 6 years old and active and super playful. Some of her favorite toys are glitter balls, puffballs, and the cat dancer. She also likes boxes and bags. Francie is very social with people but can get overstimulated. She sometimes takes medicine to help control her anxiety. Francie also needs a stable routine and to be fed a healthy diet on a schedule (no free feeding or dry food). She will do best as the only pet in the home and without kids. If you know how to just let a cat be herself and are looking for a really smart and funny feline companion, then contact Molly at mollysgardens@gmail.com to hear more about Francie. Note: Kitty Revolution occasionally helps promote cats being taken care of by our friends and supporters. The cat(s) in this posting are not Kitty Revolution cats. Any adoption that may occur as a result of this listing is an arrangement strictly between two independent parties.

Coco

Meet Coco! Coco has a big heart and a big energy level to match! She tries very hard to be the best girl that she can, but she will need someone dedicated to help her along the path of being a good girl. She is a high energy girl who would not do well as a couch potato. She would love an owner who is looking for an active companion that they can hike, run, and continue to train. Coco has been spending time with the staff and trainers at Benny’s Bed and Biscuits to help refine her skills and set her up for success in her new home. She is given daily outlets to stimulate her both physically and mentally, including puzzle toys for her meals, leash walking, basic obedience, and supervised play with other dogs. Coco would do best where she could continue to have this sort of daily enrichment. She has been shown to get along with most male dogs of all energy levels, she plays appropriately, if a bit rough, but is not pushy with dogs who are on the mellower side. She has been a bit selective of other female dogs. Some of the basic obedience and manners behaviors that Coco has been working on are: • Sitting and staying • Sitting politely for petting • Sitting and waiting for her food dish to be set down • Coming when called • Not pulling on the leash while walking • No jumping up when excited • Stayin on a matt or dog bed • Sleeping in a crate • Lying down (although she does still need a bit of help with a good lure for this one) The trainers at Benny’s are happy to go over all of this with her new owners, as well as offer a free follow up private lesson once she has settled into her new home so that she is set up for long term success with all that she has learned. Our Adoption Process: *You must complete an adoption application before meeting an animal. *We do all checks on references and vet checks. *Please let your references know we will be calling. *Once approved, you can set up an appointment to meet any of the animals at the Granite City Animal Control, or the ones in foster homes. *There will be a meet and greet and then a home visit. *After that you will sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. $85 for Rabbits / $80 for Cats / $100 Kittens / $150 for Dogs / $200 for Puppies Six Months & Under The dog adoption application is located here: https://form.jotform.com/31997643682166 All our animals are completely vetted with the required vaccinations, microchipped and spayed/neutered before leaving the rescue. Including: Cats will have FIV/FeLV testing Dogs will have Heartworm testing Rabbits will have a wellness check ______________________________________________________________ Many times we also get feral cats or semi-friendly cats (can be petted but doesn't like to be held) needing barn homes. You will need to provide shelter and food. There are not any adoption fees for barn cats (donations are accepted) but you will still need to fill out the cat adoption form. Just list the number of barn cats you are wanting. ______________________________________________________________ We are a small foster based rescue but some of our animals are residing at the Granite City Animal Control in Madison County, Illinois until they can be adopted, fostered or pulled by another rescue. Pound Pets Inc Rescue can always use more fosters. If you are interested in fostering, the foster application is located here: https://form.jotform.com/50784968756173 ______________________________________________________________ Pound Pets volunteers cleans the animal control building, we are the caregivers for the animals brought in. Once they come through the door, they become our responsibility. We photograph all animals and post to the Pound Pets Facebook page. We provide them clean kennels, beds, blankets, toys, treats, outside play time, walks and human interaction. We try to comfort the scared, keep the high-energy ones exercised and provide plenty of love and affection to make their time at animal control as less stressful as possible. Sometimes they get reclaimed by their families and sometimes they don't. If they don't it is our responsibility to find the adopters, fosters or rescues to save them from euthanasia. We get in sick and injured animals as well. They do not sit in their kennels or cages needing veterinary care. Once we see the need for care they are taken to the vet. Sometimes the illness or injury is minor and the city will cover the bill, Other times when it's not, we do. We do all of this on our own dime. We buy the food, the beds, the blankets, the toys, and all the other things that go into care for the animals. Sometimes things are donated and that is wonderful!! We pay the medical bills that the city doesn't. As with most animal controls, there is a limit on what they will do or cover. At Pound Pets, there is no limit. Broken Bones, Surgery, Parvo, Heartworm, etc., if the animal has a chance the animal is given that chance. This is not a shelter but an animal control. Pound Pets Inc Rescue can always use more volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, the volunteer application is located here: https://form.jotform.com/40307066949156 ______________________________________________________________ We are always looking for licensed rescues to pull cats (including FIV+ cats) and dogs from the Granite City Animal Control in Madison County, Illinois. It's a very small animal control and strays keep coming in. There are no fees for a rescue to pull.
