Triscuit

Like my namesake I am a full of energy and sometimes salty guy. I am so full of myself that I found it difficult to hold still for my photo shoot. I almost turn myself inside out begging for some loving, virtually standing on my head and giving bodacious head bumps. As for the salty part, I am not a fan of other cats and can be downright cranky with them. As the center of one’s universe in a single cat (ME!) home I think I would be an entertaining, affectionate, and fun companion. DOB: 2009 Rec’d: 3/5/11 History: Triscuit was surrendered when the dog in the home became aggressive. Note: Triscuit is one of THE most awesome cats at CFC. Steadily holding down a very revered post at The Scratching Post kitchen area, he's a fast meeter and greeter and loves everyone he meets and ALMOST loves the dogs he meets more than the humans he meets. He's not a huge fan of other cats. He needs to be watched when he is "on task" and working in the kitchen area to make sure he is behaving in an appropriate manner towards the other loose cats. His ideal home would be stocked with humans who LOVE an interactive kitty (head butts and purring and figure-eighting) and also pre-stocked with a dog or too and also kids. Some might say Triscuit is actually a dog wearing a sleek black cat suit! Winter 2024 Update: I've moved. Joke on the street is that I've moved into the "official" CFC retirement wing where all the kitties are seniors or super seniors. As you know, I've been working at the Post kitchen for some time now. Finally, it was clear I was just tired of all the ruckus caused by all the new and very young kitties and asked to please be relocated. Amazingly, my request was processed very quickly and I'm now in the Senior Cat Room up by the main office. I am loving life here. I might be the most active in this group and it suits me just fine. I settled in super fast and felt right at home. I might have even let out an exhale of relief and satisfaction to have found such an amazing spot. When you're next in the neighborhood, stop on by and be sure to look me up at my new address. Fall 2023 Update: Our handsome, salty character Triscuit is back to his "old" self. When we changed out his cat tree to a newer model a few months ago, our good friend was not happy. We sensed a lot of pouting during the day as he spent most of his time in his overnight condo. In general, he was just more grumpy. Luckily, Triscuit has now accepted this new tree and is at the top of it eagerly welcoming humans as they enter The Scratching Post. One of his newer, fave humans is our Maintenance Mgr BJ. The two of them greet each other like old school buddies which just warms our hearts. Triscuit, as a senior kitty, has slowed down which is expected however he's still putting in a good, full day's work. He just got a new Seresto collar so that will help keep fleas away from our good friend. He's healthy and he's still grooming and grooming himself to keep his coat as meticulously clean as possible. Our days are really not complete unless we can get our daily Triscuit fix!

Emma

Meet Emma, born in March 2009, a lovely feline looking for her forever home! Emma prefers to be the only cat in the household, as she enjoys having all the attention to herself. She adores receiving gentle pets and brushes, although she does like to dictate when she's in the mood for pampering. Her independence adds to her allure, as she appreciates having her own space and making decisions on her terms. One of Emma's favorite pastimes is sitting in your lap, basking in the warmth of your affection. She's a master of relaxation and will happily spend hours curled up with her human companions. Emma also has a penchant for cozy beds, where she can snuggle up and enjoy peaceful naps. Despite her age, Emma is in good health and has plenty of love to give. If you're looking for a loving and low-maintenance companion who will bring joy and serenity to your home, consider opening your heart to Emma. Adopting this sweet old lady will not only enrich your life but also provide her with the loving home she deserves.

Hewy & Dewy

Hewy and Dewy are about 8 years old. Hewy loves to lay beside you when you sleep and Dewy is like cat Velcro and wants to be on you all the time. Both are very lovable. Dewy is considered a special needs because he has some breathing issues which we give him some meds daily to help keep it under control. They had a hard time trying to adjust in a previous adopted home. Dewy hid for a week and a half and Hewy retaliated with behavioral issues. At their foster home, they both act like super lovable kitties with no issues but need an extended transition period so they can adjust in a new environment correctly. We are looking for someone who can isolate them to one room for a time before introducing them to the whole house. They are wormed, have flea prevention on them, they have all their shots (rabies and distemper), tested negative for FIV/Felv, and micro-chipped. They love to play with each other and crave human companionship. We would love to see them go home together but can be adopted separately. Cat vet refs required. We do not adopt our cats out beyond a 4 county area from Camden County. We cannot return out of area phone calls. Thank you for your understanding! No small children under 12 please. All cats and kittens in private home foster care require an approved application in order to show them. Email us at pawsforlife1@aol.com for more information on how to adopt these kitties. Sponsor us while we await our future home!

Cole

Cole and his buddy Tallahassee had a home once but sadly found themselves relegated to the basement because the owners didn’t want them upstairs with the family and the dogs. This was a very unhappy way to live and Cole and his buddy continually begged to be let out. Eventually the owners decided to surrender both cats and they made their way to one our organization’s foster homes. Four year old Cole now lives with his foster dad in the Clarkson/Leitchfield area of Kentucky. His foster dad has nothing but positive things to say about him and says that he LOVES other cats, is very playful and has an affectionate and fun personality. He goes on to mention that this kitty is very much a lap cat and wants and enjoys being a very close companion to his favorite person. He’s a love bug who needs a loving home with someone who knows what forever really means! Cole is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and has tested negative for FeLV and FIP. He’s an all-around bundle of wonderful and he’s fully vetted so all he really needs is YOU! Because homes are few and far between here in rural Kentucky, Cole is also available immediately to a qualified rescue. If you’d like more information about him please message us on our Facebook page or send us an email at savegraysoncats@yahoo.com. Puzzle

Puzzle truly is a low maintenance treasure. She's the perfect choice for someone who's NOT interested in being owned by a lap cat. Once considered to be semi-feral, Puzzle has grown into a lovely lady that simply likes a little extra space, but that enjoys rubbing on her foster mom's hand and even sleeping near her face. Estimated to be about 1-1/2-years-old, this lover-from-afar is described as being "long-bodied and short-legged." Sounds like a sports car that hugs the road, don't you think?!? If you're interested in learning more about this cutie, we'll be happy to provide you with more details.

Mr. Mew

There's no denying that Mr. Mew had a pretty rough start to life, but BOY has he blossomed since being in foster care! He doesn't really like us to talk about it (he blushes here!), but he arrived in rescue with his tail badly damaged and infected. Surgery was needed to amputate his tail, as well as to repair his poor little "behind" that had also been injured. He's now fully recovered from all of that and he has no lingering litter box problems whatsoever. In fact, his foster mom says he actually likes to lie in the litter box when you're cleaning it - silly boy!!! He also enjoys being ANYWHERE that you're working, just to be with you. This young boy is a really loving and sweet kitty whose only flaw might be that he doesn't especially like to be carried around as he's simply too busy checking out everything going on around him (when he's not flaked out and sleeping on the dryer, as you can see in his one photo)! Interested in meeting and possibly adopting this tail-less wonder boy? Shoot an email to us at savegraysoncats@yahoo.com and we'll happily help guide you through the process.

Bimini

I'll bet you're wondering how on earth I got the name Bimini :} This is the story I was told.....I was found by a lady at Taco Bell who couldn't keep me, so she brought me to the local shelter. One of the volunteers was trying to find a name for me and - while she was going through her email - she saw one that mentioned something about "bimini boards." She thought it was an unusual word, so "voila" - my name was born!!! I'm trying to live up to my name by being a unique young boy. I'm about a year old now, but I've got a LOT of life left in me. If you don't believe me, let me add this one piece of the puzzle to my story. Supposedly, Bimini actually refers to a chain of resort islands in the northwestern Bahamas. The legendary Fountain of Youth was thought to be there. Cool indeed, don't you agree?!? Whether you want to hang out at the local Taco Bell or in the Bahamas, I'm happy to be your furry sidekick on such journeys. Let's start making some travel plans ASAP!

Ewee

Ewee is super shy; during the day she usually hides. She is 14 years old. She loves the other cats in her cage-free room, and she is often found snuggling with Malcolm, her protector. Although her body language occasionally signals she may want affection, she does not ever allow anyone to touch her. She will swat and hiss at anyone who gets too close. A salmon lover, Ewee enjoys Fancy Feast Salmon Pate delivered directly to her (but not too close!) Ewee needs a very special someone willing to give her the time and space she will need. Ewee should not be around children, and her adopter must have experience socializing painfully shy cats. She will be happiest if adopted with Malcolm; she loves him and they are bonded. Adoption hours are by appointment only. Call 508-285-5159.

Stormy MISSING IN FORT WAYNE!!

AS OF 9-14-11 Stormy was adopted to a very nice man in Fort Wayne, near New Haven!! She has some bonding issues that he was aware of but upon entering the house she broke thru a screen door and took off down the cardinal greenway towards new haven. She loves children so if spotted that would be the easiest way to catch her. Please even if you see her call us and give us an area to search. She is more than likely headed towards Fiat near Berne IN where her foster mom who is the only person to have shown her the correct love and attention in her short life lives. Stormy was an owner surrender seems she was intended to breed with their sheltie but some (golden??) decided to make a family with her instead. So her and her pups were on their way to a shelter when we picked them up.Stormy is a sweet little girl who needs a quiet house to feel comfortable.Foster care is too crazy with too many dogs for her.She will also require a home with a fenced in yard. She does like kids as long as they are older and calm. Her adoption fee is $200 she will be spayed, current on shots, heartworm tested and on prevention too. Please email to request an application. All of our pets go out spayed or neutered, are up-to-date on their shots, and are on flea preventative. We deworm all dogs with drontal and heartworm check if applicable.

Mistletoe

Mistletoe is a cute as a button Hackney-type pony. He has limited vision in his left eye and a front clubfoot, but he is a healthy and happy pasture pal! Cuteness

We are truly "Lucky Bunnies!" We are looking for a loving forever home. In return we will give you kisses, love, and bring you lots of luck. This is our story. . . . . We were rescued from Santee Alley in the LA Garment District where we were being bred and sold illegally at a mere 8 – 21 days old. Babies are supposed to stay with their mothers for at least 8 weeks. When taken from our mother, our eyes were closed and we were deprived of colostrum from her milk we so desperately needed. After being rescued, we were set to be euthanized at the LA Animal Shelter. Thankfully, Bunny World Foundation took us in. There we were dewormed, deflead, given antibiotics and weaned for two months. Now we are strong enough to live on alfalfa hay, veggies and pellets. Adopt us now from Bunny World Foundation! Please email us at info@bunnyworldfoundation.org. Lucky Bunnies! For more information: www.bunnyworldfoundation.org
