Foxy

FOXY Iam an 11-year-old female Red Heeler with Vet Care Support for Life. My foster mom admits my reputation at TALGV for being “highly selective” in who I like is well earned, but I can be lovable with the right person. Iam good when left alone, ask to go out, know "sit," "leave it", "crate," and "come". I enjoy walks and love going to the park, even though I don't like riding in cars. I may know a lot of neighborhood dogs but I usually try to ignore them. I guard my human, food, miscellaneous objects and space, so we avoid close encounters. When guests arrive, I get a timeout in my crate or another room. If you're preferably a female who's willing to make some provisions, we should meet. I may be "unique"; but if you can adjust to my idiosyncrasies, we should get along just fine. Adoption fee for Dogs is $125 To view additional animals and find out more about The Animal League of Green Valley, visit our website at www.talgv.org or call (520) 625-3170 between 10 am and 2 pm Monday though Sunday.

Rosie

DOB - 6/22/19 estimated Rosie and her sister Janie are sisters who were caught as young kittens as part of a TNR project. They were much too young to be put back out so we were asked to take them. Janie

DOB - 6/22/19 estimated Janie and her sister Rosie were caught as young kittens as part of a TNR project. They were much too young to be put back out so we were asked to take them. They were both feral but Janie has really blossomed. She is a sweet, brave girl who gets along with the other cats and loves attention from the humans. She is a little shy but she loves to meet new people. She will need some time to adjust to a new family and home but it will be well worth the wait.

Cinder

Cinder is an exceptional, very unique dog. Her story is unclear but what is known is from the time she was a puppy until now, at about 6 years old, Cinder has lived in a shelter or a rescue. She has been with Operation Scarlet for about 5 years of that time. Cinder may never have lived in a home and her experiences of the world around her are limited. Cinder has learned some basic obedience and continues to work on learning appropriate behavior for a dog whether it’s playing and interacting with a volunteer or entertaining herself. She’s very smart and learns new things quickly. Initially fearful of strangers, once you earn her trust Cinder shows how sweet she can be. Whoever would be interested in adopting Cinder would need to drop by Operation Scarlet multiple times for meet and greets so Cinder would identify that person as a friend and not a stranger. Cinder’s perfect home is one that has a secure fenced-in yard and a home with no other pets or children, a home with someone who has experience working with a dog like Cinder. Cinder thrives on mental stimulation and attention. She loves walks and is good on a leash. If you’d like to meet Cinder please go to the Operation Scarlet web site, operationscarlet.com, and fill out an application. Hours are by appointment only.

Lucky LENNY!

Lenny is quite the looker! He’s a classic tabby who adores getting his chin and neck scratched. Although he’s still somewhat shy, he has blossomed in foster care, learning to meet new people, take treats from his foster mom’s hand, and meow when he thinks it’s time for dinner. Lenny knows his name, and when he hears it, he’ll walk up and tilt his head while you talk to him. Lenny enjoys head scratches and will lean in to make sure you can find the right spot. He loves watching the world through the window, and can often be found sleeping on his perch in front of the window. Lenny is being fostered with Sneakers (also available for adoption on this site) and Lenny looks to Sneakers for guidance in new situations. Lenny will do best with a quiet, patient, and predictable home. Once he’s settled in, though, he’ll be a loving companion. Born 8/2019 See adoption info at www.lifelineforpets.org.

I am also a senior kitty being over the age of 10. Sometimes people are afraid to take a chance on us older men, but I assure you I am not to be feared, but am craving your love and kindness. If you are a special person, and you like what you see, please apply at furkids.org. I am FIV+, which is no big deal! It just means I have a slightly depressed immune system, and my future family should be pro-active if I get a cold or get sick. I can live with other non-FIV+ cats as well! The staff here is great and will help you understand more about FIV kitties like me! Birthday: 7/27/09 Be sure to visit and "like" our Facebook page facebook.com/furkidsinc

Vela

Born July 6, 2019 Vela is a gorgeous female German Shepherd mix who is ready for that person or family to call her own! Here is a little bit about her: for the last 6 months Vela has been in training to be the best dog she can be. She’s very high energy and would love nothing more than a playmate of similar size in her forever home – preferably male and one that would let her “lead” her way. Vela could also be happy as an only dog as long as it was an active home where she was part of the family. Vela has that typical shepherd aloofness when meeting someone new and tends to warm up quicker to women. Once Vela know you’re one of the good guys she bonds deeply to her person and listens well to commands. Vela is not a fan of small children and due to her high prey drive cannot be in a home with cats or small animals. Vela would be a wonderful running, hiking or outdoor buddy. She also is completely content chilling with her people on the sofa! Vela needs lots of physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep her centered and happy. She is protective of her yard and home and will alert strangers with a large warning bark but is otherwise fairly quiet at home. Vela has great leash manners and enjoys car rides because that means a new adventure ? Her forever home will require a secure 6 foot fence with adults and without cats or other small animals. We are confident Vela’s best fit home is out there! Could it be yours? Applications can be accessed at www.mikeyschance.com

Timon

Timon was found on the North Shore with her 2 siblings. She is a little torbie kitten and almost identical to her sister, Pumba. She is a very sweet and mellow kitten. She loves to be cuddled and loved on. Little mouse toys are her favorite to play with, both sharing with her other cat friends or playing with them by herself. She enjoys lounging around on a soft bed or blanket and loves having your attention. She would love to be adopted as a pair with her sister Pumba, but it's not required.

Pumba

Pumba is a torbie kitten who came from the North Shore with her 2 siblings, Timone and Scar. She is sweet torbie kitten who is very curious about everything going on around her. She loves to play with her siblings and to climb and “dance” on the scratching post. Feather toys stand no chance when she gets ahold of them and chasing ping pong balls is a must. At times she can be quite reserved, but don’t let that fool you! She is full of spunk and loves to play.

Bat

Bat was born with unusable twisted back legs, so he scoots around using just his front legs. He is quite fast and has an amazing personality. He cannot urinate or defecate on his own, so we express his bladder three to four times a day and keep him on a regular feeding schedule to regulate his weight and keep his pooping time on a schedule. He is the sweetest little guy and loves belly rubs, snuggles, and kisses.
