This Hurricane Harvey survivor is always extremely wiggly and happy. Woody enjoys attention and cuddling with his friends once he has time to bond with them. He loves to play with toys and enjoys learning new tricks through training. Swimming in the pool is his favorite summer time activity and in winter he loves romping through the snow.
He has done well with dogs the same size or bigger than him at Dogtown, though he takes a bit to warm up to new dogs. He does require someone with dog experience because he can guard his food and toys at times. He would love to meet any potential new dog housemates at the Sanctuary.

Independent but also cuddly on her own terms, she is great at self-play and loves a good wand toy with a feather. Kyoko volunteers as tribute to be your one and only kitty companion.
Kyoko will make you work for her love, but she will show how loyal she is to those who try to win her over. We've recently discovered that she enjoys being carried when there is less stimulation going on (man, can she purr!) and will even sit on laps for short periods of time!

MINNIE is a sweet little terrier mix who has some injuries that require extra support and needs a very special home. She doesn't have use of her back legs but is able to scoot around on her bottom to move around a room, especially on smooth surfaces. She also loves to roll around outside in the grass. If taken outside she will pee outside, but she can't really use pee pads inside because if she tries to drag herself over to them, they bunch all up. (the sock on her leg is just to protect it where she had a sore from when we got her and dragging it was irritating it and not allowing it to heal.)

Hi! My name is Penelope, but most people call me Penny. I travelled all the way from Manitoba to Ontario. It was a long journey and my first time on a plane, but I made it! It’s hard to believe I’m still searching for my furever home but here I am.
Not to brag but I am fully house-trained, crate trained, and I walk well with a gentle leader. Sometimes I can be reactive to other dogs when I’m on leash but with enough space and plenty of treats, I quickly forget they’re there. I love life, exploring the neighbourhood, and going for car rides. If you’re looking for a road trip companion, I’m your gal!
I can be selective about which dogs I want to play with, so proper introductions are a must when meeting potential new playmates. I’m a smart girl who learns new commands quickly, especially when treats are involved ?. My recall is spot-on - if you call, I’m coming! He was removed from a "cruelty situation" and is now in rescue. He was a little unsure at first, but he's doing remarkably well now that he's in a safe environment.
He's a very loving dog and warms up to you quickly. He chases cats, so he needs to be in a cat-free home.
He loves to play fetch and likes to be in your lap as much as possible
