Steele is a 1 year, 6 months old female Domestic Short hair/Mix cat. Steele is a 1 year old spayed female grey domestic medium hair cat. She came in with her 4 kittens, and now that they have grown up and are onto their own adventures, it is time for mom to fly too! She is a very shy girl at first, but if you sit with her for a few minutes and talk softly to her, she comes forward and gives you headbutts. She loves pats on her head and bum scratches, and will even chirp at you once in a while! Steele may be able to live with cat-savvy kids that understand when to leave cats be. She may be able to live with another cat after a proper slow introduction. We believe she may get along with a cat-savvy dog that will not chase her. Meet Mustang! This handsome boy is about 3 years old and 78lbs, he's a big boy but he doesn't know it. He has the sweetest temperament and loves to snuggle right up to you. He was roaming the streets around a car shop and we found him lounging next to a Mustang, hence the name. This sweet boy knows some commands, walks nicely on a leash, and adjusts to new people and environments quickly. He's been great with the dogs in the yard so far and is extremely well behaved for a street pup. Waffle is a 3 months old male Domestic Longhair/Mix cat. Waffle is a 3 month old neutered male black and brown tiger kitten looking for a special home to call his own. He is what we call a "Spirit Kitten". This means he has had very little socialization with humans and is still rather nervous around us. We are able to pat him and tell him how handsome he is, but he is still getting used to it all. He needs a person that understands he needs patience as he continues to be taught that people love him! He will be a small project, but it will be the best one you ever do, because these kittens can turn into the sweetest cats when their adopters put love, patience, and effort into them. She enjoys puzzle treats, walks, being by her human, sniffing around the yard, lounging in the sun and most importantly, treats. She is potty trained, knows basic commands (come, sit, stay, shake, lay, off, speak, and up), walks well on a leash, and is very food motivated. She would do well in a home with no other dogs, no young children, and where she can go on daily walks. Scout does not like a kennel, but can be left out in the house with no issue. However, she is a counter-surfer and loves human food. She does well with cats in the house, although she does like to lick them. She originally came to MARS from Texas as a puppy after being found in a barn with her 2 sisters. She was then adopted by a couple and was with them for almost 8 years. But they had a son who started walking and bothering Scout, and she responded by growling and lunging at him. She has never bit him but it was really stressful for Scout and the parents, so she needs to be in a home with no young children.
