Waffle

Waffle is a 3 months old male Domestic Longhair/Mix cat. Waffle is a 3 month old neutered male black and brown tiger kitten looking for a special home to call his own. He is what we call a "Spirit Kitten". This means he has had very little socialization with humans and is still rather nervous around us. We are able to pat him and tell him how handsome he is, but he is still getting used to it all. He needs a person that understands he needs patience as he continues to be taught that people love him! He will be a small project, but it will be the best one you ever do, because these kittens can turn into the sweetest cats when their adopters put love, patience, and effort into them. Waffle would LOVE to go home to a friendly, outgoing cat that can help teach him that people are cool, and being brave is fun! He may be able to live with a cat-savvy dog that will not bother him too much. Due to his reserved and flighty personality, children are not appropriate for him, but older, quiet, cat-savvy kids may be okay with him. Our shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4 (closed Mondays). If you are interested in this pet, please review our adoption process at www.lowellhumanesociety.org/adoption/#process so you're prepared to adopt & stop by the shelter with the required information to take home this pet.

Scout

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. // Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $300 Plus TaxScout is a sweet, smart pup who loves to lick faces and go for walks. She enjoys puzzle treats, walks, being by her human, sniffing around the yard, lounging in the sun and most importantly, treats. She is potty trained, knows basic commands (come, sit, stay, shake, lay, off, speak, and up), walks well on a leash, and is very food motivated. She would do well in a home with no other dogs, no young children, and where she can go on daily walks. Scout does not like a kennel, but can be left out in the house with no issue. However, she is a counter-surfer and loves human food. She does well with cats in the house, although she does like to lick them. She originally came to MARS from Texas as a puppy after being found in a barn with her 2 sisters. She was then adopted by a couple and was with them for almost 8 years. But they had a son who started walking and bothering Scout, and she responded by growling and lunging at him. She has never bit him but it was really stressful for Scout and the parents, so she needs to be in a home with no young children. She is great with adults and older kids who can respect her space. or *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person! If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process. *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Misha

Misha comes all the way from Azerbaijan (former Soviet Union) to find his family! We rescued Misha and 15 of his exotic cat friends from a nightmare pet shop. We purchased their freedom so they can have a beautiful life in the US. Misha is the most adorable boy. He turned 1 this past April, is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FELV negative. Misha is a confident, friendly, sweet, soft teddy bear in a cat’s body. He’s super cuddly—playful, affectionate, and incredibly intelligent. Like most exotic cats, he loves playing with stimulating toys, lounging around, and enjoying life. He’ll greet you at the door and keep you laughing daily. Misha’s ideal home would give him plenty of attention and care. These breeds crave human affection, need to be groomed several times a year, and require ear cleaning. We’re looking for a home where at least one person works from home or has short hours so Misha doesn’t get lonely. Don’t delay—he won’t be available for long! Please submit a cat adoption application on our website at www.gwarp.org and text Kamilla afterward at 1-347-556-1843. Please do not send inquiries through Petfinder.

Fontina

I’m a sweet and friendly girl who will always be the first to greet you when you walk in the door—whether you’ve been gone for five minutes or all day, I’ll be right there, ready to say hello. One of my favorite things is being held like a baby. I just love being close to you and feeling safe in your arms. When I’m not snuggling, I enjoy playing and having fun with my siblings. I’d love to find a home where I can have other feline friends to keep me company and share playtime with. If you’re looking for a cat who’s affectionate, playful, and will make you feel welcome every day, I think we’d make the perfect match! Est. DOB: May 24, 2024 Fully vetted: treated for fleas, ear mites, and intestinal parasites, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted), spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations (including FVRCP+FeLV [initial vaccination and booster] and rabies), and microchipped with shelter paid registration.

Jovie

PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT MASSPAWS. SEE CONTACT INFORMATION BELOW FOR THIS SPECIAL PUP. Meet Jovie! This beautiful two-year old girl is safe with our friends at Crops and Flops Rescue after being found as a stray. Named for an “Elf” character, she would love being the best part of your next Christmas! Jovie is one lucky dog who recently landed one of the best foster homes in the state! With a tail seriously damaged from an injury, she was guarded and detached at first. As she healed physically, her emotional health also improved! Jovie is happy, playful, and affectionate. Love and patience has prepared her for a forever home where she’ll continue to thrive. Jovie is an easy-to-please goofy dog who will make you laugh from her silly antics. Part of her moderate activity level involves bursts of energy, hopping like a bunny, and awkward zoomies. She also enjoys mini training sessions with treats, fetching, and leisure walks to sniff out who’s been where and done what. She’s also good on the move and loves car rides. Yet, you’ll love how she settles nicely. She entertains herself with toys and bones or finds a cozy spot to rest. Snuggling is a top priority for her so be prepared! Jovie is dog friendly, but much too excited around cats and small pups. Since she has an energetic playstyle, she can be a little annoying (don’t tell her!) For that reason, she may do best as your only pet, but she’d love regular doggie playdates. Pint-sized humans make her nervous, so a home without little ones is a must. A fenced-in yard is preferred. You can learn much more about Jovie’s past and her personality by copying and pasting this link into your browser. https://cropsandflopsrescue.org/ouradoption/jovie-patricia/ When you apply, please tell them Animal Rescue Konnection (ARK) sent you!

Mimi

Mimi is a 3 years old female Domestic Short hair/Mix cat. Mimi is a 3 year old spayed female grey tabby cat. Mimi is a special little lady in the way that she needs a very cat-savvy home. Although she absolutely has a very sweet side of purring, rubbing on your hands and face, chirping at you when you walk by, she has shown a fresh side as well. She has been known to not only swat here and there, but she has also bit here and there. The sweet side shows 85% of the time, and her fresh side 15%. We believe that in a quieter, cat savvy home this is an issue that should not arise. However, it is very important she goes to an adopter that has had cats before, and has experience dealing with more fresh cats, and has a full understanding that Mimi is, in fact, a true hot & cold cat. Although Mimi lived with an enjoyed children in her previous home, we are advising against her living with children given her personality. She did live with cats previously, and somewhat got along with them. She may do best as the only cat, and overall only animal in the home to give her the calm environment she should thrive in. What do you say, are you in for the Mimi challenge? Our shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4 (closed Mondays). If you are interested in this pet, please review our adoption process at www.lowellhumanesociety.org/adoption/#process so you're prepared to adopt & stop by the shelter with the required information to take home this pet.

Bits

Bits came to Dogwood with her brother, Bobs, by no fault of their own. Their owner became gravely ill and made the hardest decision a pet owner can make by surrendering their kitties, knowing Dogwood would find them a loving home. Bits is about 9 months old and is looking for her forever home. Bits is a bit shy at first and seeks a warm lap on her own terms. She is the SOFTEST kitty you could ever pet. Her fur is medium length and so pretty. She is a petite and gentle little girl at about 8.5 lbs. She loves to play with moving toys and is friendly. Once she trusts someone, her purrs are endless. Bits and Bobs would love to be adopted together, but they could be adopted separately as well.
