Emmet

Emmett is a 6-year-old, neutered male who is fun-sized at 25lbs! He loves basking in the sun and going for walks. Emmett is house-trained and is good at communicating when he needs to go potty. He has short bursts of puppy energy but responds well to expectations and commands. He enjoys squeaky toys and chew sticks, and will run after them for exercise. He is a medium-energy dog and can chill on his bed if his human is busy. Emmett has a robust personality and is a goofball! He needs a patient and experienced owner who understands and respects dog body language and who will take things slow with him. Emmett has a bite on record and was surrendered to the shelter. He is dog selective (Classic Chihuahua!) and will require a slow introduction if other dogs are in the home. Paxton

Meet Paxton!! Paxton is an approximately 4.5 year old, lab mix (best guess), 40lb boy rescued from the euthanasia list in Houston, TX. Paxton has been working so hard to become a family dog and he is doing amazing in his foster home. We are so proud! When he was first rescued a couple years ago, feral was the only way to describe him. He avoided any and all contact with humans, trying to make himself as small as possible to protect himself. He has been working very hard and has made so much progress. He willingly takes treats, curls up on the couch with his foster mom, and loves walks. Paxton moved into his very first foster home after residing in boarding and with trainers. He loves it there. The best home for Paxton is a quiet home with no children. He absolutely needs another confident dog in the home so he can learn how to be loved by people. A younger playful dog would be best. Paxton loves to run around and romp with his friends. A secure fenced in yard would be wonderful to allow him to play. He LOVES treats and they are the way to his heart. If you are interested in learning more about Paxton, please contact info@theunderdogconnection.org He is currently available for meet and greets in MA.

Blu Bear - Big Luv Bug!

Name: Blu Bear Sex: Male Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Age: 5 - 6 years Weight: 60 lbs My name is Blu Bear and look stocky and muscular but I'm a big sweetie! I have a lot going for me - house trained, crate trained, great disposition, and know commands. I get along with other dogs, children and adults. Probably no cats, I tend to bark at them. I'm usually at a medium energy level but I love to go on walks and get excited when I see a leash and do a few zoomies to show you how happy I am! I love attention because I was abandoned by my owner and brought to a shelter where I was rescued before they got around to putting me down. That was a frightening possibility and I got saved by a nice woman when I was very depressed. Things are looking up, I have a safe place to live, food to eat and other dogs to play with. But what I would really like is a home of my own and a little luck - could you give me a chance? Adoption fee of $400 covers all costs including transport and health certificate. All dogs are completely vetted and their records will come with them.

Ghost

Miss ghost ? an absolute doll to be around. She's so sweet, doesn't seem to care much about toys, but if people are around? She wants all the love and attention because she knows she can get it. She's definitely wormed her way into our hearts and we absolutely love her and her goofy self. There's never a day where we don't leave our cat kennel with a smile and it's always ghost doing something silly or goofy. She's still young at only about 9 months, but she tells us she "matured past her kitten faze" and that she's "a very sophisticated kitty" but has a weakness for the toy mice we have. She is fully vaccinated, needs to be spayed, but would love to find a home that will understand her needs as a mature kitty who wants chin scratches and late night snuggles. Her adopt fee is $50 and you can apply for her here: amherstanimalshelter.org

Jupiter

You met Yarrow earlier, now it's time to meet her sister Jupiter! She's just as playful as her sister, maybe even a bit more. We'll constantly hear the rattling of the toys in the kennel and most of the time, it's Jupiter entertaining herself. She doesn't have the space she wish she had to really play, and would love for someone to adopt her and buy her all the new fancy toys to chase and play with. Jupiter is just as sweet as her sister, both of them greeting us at the kennel door with excitement as the wait for their attention. Jupiter is about 4 months, full vaccinated, still needs a spay, but would love for a family to adopt her! If that's you, her adoption fee is $50 and you can put in an application here: amherstanimalshelter.org

Huey

Artemis

Artemis of our Greek Gods litter is ready for adoption! Artemis is a striking pure white boy that's about 4 months old. He is neutered, FIV and FeLV negative and up to date on all vaccinations. Artemis came into foster care with his mom and two siblings. Mom moved to another foster home once the babies were weaned. Like his brother Apollo, Artemis also suffered a severe eye infection as well as an upper respiratory infection. His third eyelid will always show due his severe infection but he is perfectly healthy. This dashing boy loves playing with a feline friend or batting around a toy. Artemis also gets very excited when he can chase a laser dot! When he's not in kitten mode, Artemis enjoys downtime next to his humans. He is quick to purr and is a total sweetheart. Artemis will need a home with a friendly active feline to keep him busy. Another great option is adopting Artemis with his chatty brother Apollo. Please email Lori at apcatrescue@gmail.com for an application if you are interested in adopting Artemis.
