Flop

Meet Flop! When Flop first arrived at the shelter, she was very shy and wanted little to do with humans, it took her a while but she finally accepted humans. She can still be a little shy around them and keeps mostly to herself. While she isn't the biggest fan of humans, she loves her cat friends! Flop can often be seen cuddling and grooming her friends. She enjoys watching the birds with them and playing with them. She would love to be able to go home with one of her best friends so they can stay together forever! Flop has tested positive for Feline Leukemia; she needs to be an only cat or with another Feline Leukemia positive cat. Flop is 10 months old, spayed, vaccinated, and FeLV positive but negative for FIV.

Presley

Presley would thrive in a home with plenty of space to run and play. A family or individual who enjoys outdoor activities and is committed to providing him with the exercise and mental stimulation he craves would be ideal. While he's a bundle of energy, Presley is also very sweet and would make a loyal and loving addition to any home. Presley's exuberance sometimes gets the best of him, and he can be a bit rowdy during play. He's still learning his manners but is eager to please and responds well to positive reinforcement. Presley does well with other dogs and kids.

Wilson

Wilson is a sweet, loveable goofball who just wants to play! He's still working on his manners but deep down we know he's a gentleman. Wilson does play pretty rough, so we think older kids would be best suited for him. He likes toys, snacks, and obviously playtime. Wilson gets bored easily, so he needs an active and attentive family to keep him simulated throughout the day. He does well with other dogs, and would love to have a playmate in his new home!

Honey

Meet Honey! Honey came from a hording situation where she had lived amongst multiple cats. She was surrendered to Jennings County Animal Control after her former owner was placed in a nursing home. Our team saw Honey's picture on the Jennings County Animal Control's Facebook page and knew we had to help. We were able to take Honey into our facility and help her get medical care thanks to our Jackie Kleine-Watts Senior Medical Fund. Honey has been nothing but a sweetheart since her arrival to our shelter. We discovered her love for soft squishy beds and brothy wet food. She loves pets and even has a senior boyfriend, who she is still getting used to. Honey would do best in a calm and quiet home with little to no activity. She would prefer calm cat friends, but no dogs or young children.

She's a quirky kitty with a dash of "tortitude," meaning she knows what she likes and isn't afraid to set boundaries. Despite her tough experiences, Mavis enjoys affection from people she trusts. She would love to be an indoor-only cat in a home where she's the sole animal, safe and sound for the rest of her days.

Ki-Ki

Ki-Ki is a distinguished lady with a heart full of warmth. At her age, she's earned the right to be pampered, and she absolutely adores it. Petting time is her favorite part of the day-she'll purr up a storm and nuzzle your hand to let you know just how much she appreciates your affection. Her soft, loving nature makes her a perfect companion for anyone looking for a gentle, devoted friend. An explorer at heart, Ki-Ki enjoys discovering every nook and cranny of her environment. Whether it's a new cozy spot in the house or a sunny windowsill, she's always on the lookout for her next adventure. She'll entertain you with her curious antics and keep you company with her engaging chatter. Yes, Ki-Ki loves to talk, and she'll happily share her thoughts and stories with you-just be ready for some delightful conversations! While Ki-Ki has a lot of love to give, she's a bit of a solitary soul when it comes to other cats. She prefers to be the queen of her castle and would thrive best in a home where she can enjoy her reign undisturbed by feline rivals. In exchange, you'll get a loyal and loving companion who's always excited to see you and share her affection.

Froggy

Froggy is a sweet and playful dog with a big personality and a lot of love to give. He thrives on interaction and enjoys spending quality time with his people. Whether it's playing fetch, going for walks, or just hanging out at home, Froggy is always ready for some fun. Froggy needs a specific home to ensure he can be the best version of himself. He does not do well with cats or dogs that are smaller than him and can be a bit of a bully towards them. Therefore, he would be best suited in a pet-free home or with larger dogs who can match his energy. Froggy would benefit from a home that is dedicated to his training and can set clear boundaries. He is smart and eager to learn, so with consistent training and structure, he will thrive. Due to his playful nature and tendency to be a bit pushy, we recommend a home with older kids (16+). If you are looking for a loyal and energetic companion and are ready to invest in his training and care, Froggy could be the perfect match for you. Come meet Froggy and see if you could be his forever family!

Cole

Cole is a sweet, playful cat who loves people. His favorite pastime is receiving love and attention from our staff and volunteers, and he has a knack for making everyone around him smile. Cole has tested positive for both Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). This means his immune system is compromised, so he needs a bit more care and attention than your average cat. He cannot socialize with other cats due to his condition, so his days are generally spent enjoying the peace and sunshine on our cat porch during the day. Cole is looking for a loving family who can provide him with the special care he needs. His new home should be one where he can be the only cat, ensuring he stays healthy and happy. Families who are experienced with or willing to learn about FeLV and FIV are ideal. Our shelter staff is more than happy to provide all the information and support you need to ensure Cole thrives in his new home. Cole's condition may seem daunting, but he is a resilient little guy with a lot of love to give. Adopting Cole means offering a second chance to a cat who has so much to offer despite his health challenges. He will reward your kindness with endless purrs, playful antics, and a loyal companionship that will warm your heart every day.

Waffle

Waffle is a bundle of joy and energy. This hyper, playful pup is always ready for an adventure. Whether it's playing fetch, going for a run, or just enjoying some outdoor fun, Waffle is your go-to buddy. Currently, Waffle lives with another dog at the shelter, and they absolutely love playing together. While he has seen cats and doesn't react poorly, a gradual introduction would be best to ensure a smooth transition. Waffle is a social butterfly who loves people and has never met a stranger. However, due to his high energy and playful nature, he may be a bit too rowdy for very young children. Older kids who can match his energy and play responsibly with him would be a better fit. Like all puppies, Waffle is still learning his manners and how to be a good boy. He needs a patient, loving family who is willing to invest time in training and teaching him the ropes. With consistent training and positive reinforcement, Waffle will quickly learn and become the well-behaved pup you know he can be. Waffle would thrive in an active household where he can get plenty of exercise and playtime. A family who enjoys outdoor activities and has the time and patience for training would be perfect for him. If you have another dog who loves to play, Waffle will be an excellent companion for them too.

Shep

Meet Shep. Shep was found by a good Samaritan, who noticed that he had been injured on the side of the road. Our team was unsure if he had been thrown from a vehicle or fell out of a vehicle, but we got to work to get him the care he needed. He was very scared when he arrived, so we placed him with a social kitten who helped teach him that humans were so bad. After some much-needed tlc, Shep is in great health. While his little tail looks different, he doesn't notice a thing. Shep was in a foster home with Farm to help them both work on their social skills. He took no time settling into his foster home and has been great with the resident cats and dogs in the homes. He loves to wrestle and play with Farm and takes long naps snuggling next to her. They have become the best of friends and need to be adopted together.

Buffy

Buffy is a timid girl who is slowly learning that the world isn't as scary as it seems. She's making progress, especially with walking on a leash, and just needs a bit more time and encouragement to fully come out of her shell. Buffy may be nervous around new situations and other dogs, but with patience and gentle guidance, she is likely to warm up and become more comfortable. She has shown that she can do well with kids and would probably adapt to a home with cats too. Buffy will do best in a home with a patient owner who understands her need for time and support to build confidence. A calm and loving environment where she can gradually learn to trust and feel safe is essential.

When I first came to the shelter I was sick but these kind people helped me get better! I am very talented boy who can do a front roll it is very cute! I love to explore and play with my friends. Because I have Feline Leukemia the shelter said that I need to go to a home with no other cats or with other kitties who have Feline Leukemia, but I would really like to have a friend!
