Buddy (ID)

Handsome 24-lb. Buddy has the tri-color pattern common to rat terriers, but his coat length, personality, and behavior show his herding dog mix. Since coming to New Rattitude, this 4-year-old boy has come a long way on his journey of self-improvement. Buddy likes to run the show, so his person needs to be firm and patient with him to set boundaries and keep up his training. He will do best in home that provides consistent, positive experiences with respect for Buddy's natural inclinations like his need to have a job.Buddy wants to be involved in everything his person is doing and is always ready to 'help' with any task. He's wired to take his tasks seriously and needs to work a few times each day. Buddy's favorite 'job' is playing ball and he thrives on interaction. Because he would rather be the sole focus of your attention, Buddy would do best as an only dog. He is quick to warm up to new people and will request the attention of any human around.Buddy's a homebody who would rather not go on leashed walks, instead running on his own turf in a large, securely fenced area. A quiet rural or suburban area is ideal for him. A dog door permits Buddy to patrol as needed and to stay impeccably house-trained. Buddy is very reliant on his crate for comfort and a place to 'switch off'; he actually asks to take a nap or go to bed and sleeps in his crate every night.Somewhere in his past, Buddy may have received forceful training and is capable of a bite if he feels threatened. He'll need 1-2 adults (no children) who are experienced at using positive reinforcement to guide him. Buddy has a very sweet side and does ask for affection in fact, love and affection from his foster home has helped him tremendously. If you want a working dog who only asks to be paid with love, Buddy is perfect for the job. See more pictures of Buddy at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/buddy .Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. He loves attention and is very affectionate and people oriented. He loves his toys and loves to carry some of them around. Knight is strong and higher energy. We are working with Knight on his manners and he is making great strides . He loves his walks with our volunteers. Knight will need a home without cats or small dogs. He will also need an active home with a securely fenced yard. He will likely be too strong and active for younger children. Domino and Knight were turned into us, but would do best in separate homes. Holly

Holly is a single mom who did a great job raising her little guy. She took care of him when they were outside and resources were scarce. She protected him from harm. She snuggled him and made him feel safe, even in an overwhelming new setting when they first arrived at the shelter. Holly was everything that a mom needs to be: loving, brave, and selfless. Sweet Holly is now at the Sanctuary, ready for her forever home. Her kitten is older and in a foster home, socializing with other kittens his age. Holly no longer has to worry about finding food. Holly doesn't have to be concerned about foxes or cars or the bitter cold. Holly finally has love and stability. She is still nervous and hides because that is the life she knew. However, when you take time to sit down with her, petting her and getting to know her, you can see what a wonderful cat she truly is. Holly is 6 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped. Holly was a wonderful mom but she is so much more than that! It is Holly's turn to experience the unconditional love of a family! **Direct adoption inquiries to: 484-285-5445 (option 4) or email catadoptions@thesanctuarypa.org **Complete an application on the Sanctuary at Haafsville website

Nikroo

I am currently available for adoption at the Irvine Petco. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an application on our website www.carmaoc.org Hello my name is Nikroo and I am a very nice but somewhat lazy cat. I love to get chin and cheek scratches. I also love whole body pets, but if I get too many, I can get a bit overstimulated so ideally, I go to a home where someone can read kitty body language. I don't mind other cats, but prefer to be more of a roommate than a best friend. I've lived with Primavera at the Irvine Petco for quite some time. We alternate between being friends and grooming each other and ignoring each other. We are the odd couple, but it works. When I'm in the mood, I can play like a kitten. I love a laser light or a wand toy and once I'm done, it's time for a nap. I do love to be brushed, but not too much. I would love a home where I would be the only cat to soak up the love or live a cat that will hang out with me, but not my best friend. And if you catch me at the right moment, you'll see my lip curl up, which gives me kind of an Elvis snarl and I've been told it's adorable. I can't control it. It's just me. I am a character and I'm looking for the right home! My adoption fee is $175. That includes spay/neuter, microchip, FIV/FeLV combo test, current vaccines and health check.

Missy

Missy is a full blooded American Pit Bull Terrier. She is 2 years old and a wonderful loving gal full of spunk and energy. Missy needs an experienced home, someone experienced with the breed who understands them, their energy and needs. A fenced in yard is a must. She is house broken, crate trained, leash trained and wonderful with all other dogs male and female.. She loves cats BUT a little too much as she pesters the living heck out of them lol.. She would not harm one intentionally but she does like to chase them so she would do best in a home with no cats so that never becomes an issue.... She adores children and ANY kind of affection and love from anyone but due to her energy and spunk she is best suited for a home with older children, 12 and above or none. She is protector of her home so she will bark at strangers but she is all bark and no bite.. Def a great guard dog.. ๐Ÿ™‚ For more information about Missy please send us a message. If interested in adopting Missy please fill out our adoption application. Missy is currently at the rescue facility so def could use a foster in Illinois. Tango

Tango is one handsome dude and he is proud of it. He is also very grateful to have been saved/rescued and in a loving foster home. He has been a good guest and causes no problems for his foster mom. Tango is 3 years old and 60 pounds. He was found on the streets of San Antonio and taken to our very high kill shelter. Their faces just begged to be saved so we pulled them. His behavior and temperament has been mild and calm. He likes to go for walks and walks well on a leash. Tango actually wants to do whatever you want to do, he is just happy to hang around you. We believe he would do best in a home as the only dog because he has a little temper tantrum when having to share his foster mom. Tango rides well in cars without getting car sick. We transport across the United States. Thank you for looking. ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Each dog comes spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice. The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption. They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls. Brandy

Brandy is the sweetest Olde English Bulldog mix. She was dropped at the shelter with a broken leg and cherry eye. After surgery and some needed love in an amazing foster home, she has made a full recovery. She loves going on a walk and then spending the rest of the day cuddling up with her humans on the couch. And if you have an extra blanket, she enjoys being wrapped in it like a burrito. This girl has the prettiest eyes and underbite. She will stare at you very closely and use her paw to ask you to pat her. She cannot get enough love. If you would like an old soul who is very balanced and full of love Brandy is your girl. Rilo

Mr Rilo - 'The most interesting dog! This extremely handsome, super sweet, approximately two year old Rottweiler/Shepherd mix is truly a dog lover's delight. He is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative! He's great with most dogs (well need a meet and greet and RILO is dominant) and kids, but not cats. RILO is on the hyper/busy side and needs a yard to run and play in! RILO is a big, strong, goofy boy! RILO gets along with most other animals but just needs to be introduced first. Katie Ladecky

ADOPTION FEE IS SPONSORED! Katie has been in a foster home since November 2022. In March 2023, she was diagnosed with FIP. Runaways believes all kitties deserve a chance so we fought this awful disease that, until a few years ago, was considered fatal with no possibility of a cure. Katie went through 84 days of treatment and 84 days of observation and is considered cured as of 8/22/23 which also happened to be her 1 year old birthday! So now it's time to find this amazing girl a home of her own. Katie is shy and will need someone patient who understands that she will need time to acclimate to a new environment. She adores her foster mom and loves to get pets, snuggle, and sleep with her at night. When she's getting pets, she likes to give licks and love bites. She is not fond of men so a single, quiet lady would be ideal as Katie's new family. She would not do well in a home with children...possibly older teen girls who will be willing to give Katie space to acclimate would be fine. She absolutely adores other cats with proper introductions. She's had a couple bffs in her foster home who have moved on. Those cats tend to be her same age or older and are fairly docile, but playful. She and her last bff, Ruby, used to play hide and seek every night around the same time. Ruby was adopted and it seems Katie still looks for someone to play with her. She is ok with the younger kittens, but seems to take guidance from the older ones. She would love to have a confident kitty companion. She does fine with the big dog in her foster home. She is the best girl and you will be rewarded with a lifetime of Katie love if you're willing to take a chance. Currently located in Clermont, Florida, but transportation is available a few hours in any direction for a committed adopter.

Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Taffy

TAFFY is the perfect black cat... except for that little white tip on her tail! We often find her perched on the highest spot she can find to keep an eye on the goings on in the room. She's SOOO curious and wants to know what you're up to. Did someone say shoelaces? Hoodie string? TAFFY is all over it! She'll never let you down with her antics. In other words, she's the perfect pick-me-up. As she gets to know you she likes to follow you and watch from a nearby ledge, but from afar, until you're real friends. She's the perfect home supervisor. If you're good friends, she might even let you give her gentle pats. She was born in 2016. TAFFY is shy with new people and hides when potential adopters visit. For this reason, she's never gotten a chance at a forever home. We don't know that she'll ever be a snuggler, but she would still be an entertaining companion. We think she would do best in a home with no young children, due to her shyness, and sheโ€™ll need a patient and thoughtful introduction to your home.

BENEDICT

Benedict is a very sweet, calm, low energy boy. He loves to be pet, and when he gets very happy or excited he drools which is adorable! Unfortunately none of these traits amount to him being photogenic. Hes really cute in person, it just doesnt come across well in pictures. Benedict came into the shelter as a stray on 12/27/23. He was missing some fur and very itchy, and he seemed to have been chained up for a very long time judging by the marks that are still around his neck. Thanks to medical care from the staff here at FBCAS hes looking and feeling so much better now! Hes very excited when you first walk up to his kennel at the prospect of getting out of it. As soon as he starts walking on leash he remembers his manners and calms down. Loose in the play yard hes happy to keep himself entertained if youre not available. He loves being pet and staying by your side more than anything! With you he's calm and cuddly, but he gets more playful around other dogs. He enjoys playtime with other dogs. He's already potty and crate trained and is a very quiet boy in a home environment. He's learned to sit on command.
