Simone

Simone and her fellow Olympians are hoping to flip, dive and sprint their way into your heart and home! Simone is all things "kitten" - she loves exploring, jumping from high perches on the cat tree or window ledge and tumbling with her fellow kitten housemates. The kittens are residing in a volunteer foster home through Animal Advocates - receiving extra TLC while they train to be world class kittens! The kittens' birthday is approximated in July 2024. All have tested negative for Felv/FIV, up-to-date on age/weight appropriate vaccinations and treated for fleas/dewormed. All remaining initial vetting, including follow up vaccinations, neuter/spay and microchip, will be covered by the rescue. If you are interested in meeting a cat, the first step is to complete an online application located at www.animaladvocates.net (under the "Adopt" menu). A discounted adoption fee is offered to applicants interested in bringing home a pair of cats. Thank you for considering a rescue cat from Animal Advocates!

Maudi Hawkins

Name: Breed: Age: Gender: Weight: Good with cats or Small Animals: Good with dogs: Good with Young Children: Good with Older Children: Fenced Yard Required: Crate-Trained: House Trained: Name: Maudie Breed: Maltese Mix Age: 5 Years Gender: Female Weight: 4 kgs Good with cats: Yes Good with dogs: Yes Good with Children: Older children only Fenced Yard Required: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes House Trained: Yes Location: London, Ontario If you are looking for a smart and sassy little miss who is full of personality, yet easy as pie to manage, you need not look any further. Maudie is an 8 lb Maltese terrier mix. She was very skittish and in rough shape when she arrived. Since then, she has started to come out of her shell. She is slowly learning to trust but prefers to spend much of her time in her crate with the door left open. A crate is strongly recommended as she is able to climb over baby gates! While she is still getting used to being picked up and held, we feel she is making strides, but she will likely need a few months to get fully comfortable with her new family. Even though she avoids being held, she does want to be close. Maudie is full of curiosity, wanting to explore the house and property. She has learned to climb stairs but she is reluctant to go down more than a few steps. Maudie loves her walks, running to the door when she senses the leashes coming out. On the walk she usually has a loose lead but occasionally pulls when she wants to keep up with her foster brother. She may not pee while on the walk but will wait until we go into our own yard. Often, she will "go piddles" on command and has learned that doing her business means she does it outdoors. She loves her breakfast and dinner and is not a fussy eater at all. She has been cat tested and does well with most dogs. Having another small breed companion would be ideal for her. She is a beautiful and sweet little girl who deserves to be in a patient, kind and loving home. Maudie will do well if there is someone home most of the time as she has shown some separation anxiety and may bark when her people leave. Maudie's adoption fee is $650.00 which includes all vaccines, preventatives to date, microchip, dental and spay. Koby

This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Koby: Your Future Best Friend! Koby is a charming 10-week-old Pyrenees mix who weighs in at a sturdy 17 pounds. This sweet boy strikes the perfect balance with his medium energy level-he's not too hyper and not too shy. Koby prefers to sit back and observe when things get a bit too wild, making him a calm companion in a bustling household. One of Koby's most endearing qualities is his affectionate nature. He loves nothing more than cuddling up with his humans and is always eager for a treat, which makes training a breeze. He already knows how to sit and is making great progress with the command "come." Koby is also doing exceptionally well with housetraining and can sleep through the night without any accidents. Crate trained and quiet overnight, Koby is an easy-going pup. He enjoys playing with other dogs, chewing on his toys, and digging-though his attempts at counter surfing with his long legs are more amusing than troublesome. He's curious about cats and indifferent to goats, making him a versatile addition to various home environments. Koby would thrive in a relatively calm home where introductions to new experiences are done gently. His agreeable and quiet nature means he'll fit in just about anywhere, as long as there's love and patience to guide him. Ready to add a little more love to your life? Koby is waiting to meet you! Sydney the TriPawd

This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Say hello to Sydney, a 3.5-month-old, 20 pound German Shepherd / Australiand Shepherd mix who's all heart with three legs! This playful pup is ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and lots of wagging tails. Despite having an amputated rear leg and part of her tail, Sydney doesn't let anything slow her down. In fact, she runs better than she walks and has no problem keeping up with her four-legged friends. Sydney has a medium energy level and loves nothing more than playing with other dogs. Whether she's getting bowled over in a game of chase or splashing around in water, this little trooper is all in. She's also a fan of toys, chew sticks, and a good scratch behind the ears. Housetrained and crate trained, Sydney sleeps through the night and is learning commands like "sit" and "come." While she's still getting the hang of leash walking and car rides, her gentle, loving nature makes her a joy to have around. Sydney would thrive in almost any home, especially one that's mindful of keeping her at a healthy weight to support her single hind leg. If you're looking for a loyal, resilient, and playful companion, Sydney is your girl! Interested in adopting? Trixie

Trixie is a little shy at first, but very sweet girl once she gets to know you a little bit. Loves rolling on the floor for you and showing her belly, which she doesn't mind rubbed at all. She loves pets overall and will very politely ask for them by patting you with her little paw. I haven't seen any aggression from her at all, she doesn't scratch or bite and is very gentle. After she was spayed, she's not too vocal (would occasionally meow for attention) and uses her litter box with no issues. She's not a lap cat but shows her love in other ways, for instance by licking you clean 🙂 And she's very playful, loves when you throw her favourite mouse toy.

Carson

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Tiny little Carson was found wandering under and around an abandoned trailer so was scooped up to be checked out and neutered. We realized he was a gentle little soul who was just very scared. He likes hanging out with the other kittens and really likes some of the older cats in the foster home. He will need a mentor kitty to help him adjust to a new home. He does not need to be adopted with his buddy Cody who was found at the same place. He would be happy with an older cat that would play with him and snuggle. He likes to chase ball toys around and has found the red dot laser light is fun to try to pounce on. He is timid, so his new folks need to give him adjustment time. But he will purr when you hold him and will lay on your lap for a bit. Since he really likes canned food, that is a great bribe to teach him that tasty food is a reward for allowing pets and attention. Food and playing with toys is the best way to help him. Carson has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and has had various parasite treatments. He is ready for his new home. WWW. castawaycritters.org/adopt

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cody and his little friend Carson were found wandering under an abandoned trailer one weekend. They were scooped up and taken for check ups and to get neutered. When we realized how nice they were, we knew we had to help them find a loving home. Cody is very playful and has adjusted very well in his foster home. He loves to play with the other kittens and even likes the older cats who are nice to him. He has fun chasing toys around and knocking them out of the toy basket. He does not need to be adopted with Carson, but really would like to have another kitty in the home to hang out with. He really loves his canned food and tries to clean up all the bowls from the other kitties. He is a good boy with the litterbox. Cody has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and has had various parasite treatments. He is ready to find his new home. Visit: www.castawaycritters.org/adopt to apply.

Snoopy

Hey there, future family! My name is Snoopy, I'm an 8-week-old Great Dane/Border Collie mix, and boy, do I have a lot of love to give! With my super soft fur and playful nature, I'm the perfect snuggle buddy and playtime pal. I adore playing with kids and my 7 siblings-we have a blast together! I come from the amazing "My Last Litter" program. My previous owner surrendered us for adoption, and in return, our wonderful mom got spayed for free. How cool is that? Now, here's the fun part: I could grow up to be anywhere from 40 to 140 pounds, so I'll keep you guessing! But no matter my size, one thing's for sure-I'm ready to be your furever friend and bring endless joy to your life. Let's make some paw-sitive memories together! ???? Please remember that Snoopy is a puppy and puppy behavior comes with the package. They need basic training and potty training along with being provided chew toys to encourage proper chewing habits. All puppies require socializing from a young age to help them become the best, most well-rounded dog they can be. This pet is available for adoption on 7/30/24 is in a foster home. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop
