adoption donation : $699 weight 35 lbs Age: 1 year Auggie is sweet, shy boy who was rescued from a kill shelter in Okolona, Mississippi just hours before he was scheduled to be put down. He was taken to the rescue and has been just a delight, friendly to everyone he meets and loves to play with the other dogs at the rescue. Auggie likes to follows his foster mom around, tail wagging. Auggie walks well on a leash and is a calm boy. He has had his vaccinations and has been neutered and is a healthy and happy boy who will make a wonderful companion to the lucky family who adopts him. Please note that Wags of Monroe county is a struggling 501(c) 3 volunteer organization where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Wags desperately need to raise funds to help the sick and older dogs at the rescue. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. I’m very loving! I’m the most likely to seek out attention, of all my littermates. I’m #1! I’m the social butterfly, I enjoy being around everyone! I’m always down to cuddle, I’m very affectionate. and if purring were an Olympic race, I would take gold every time. While I love the kitten stampede that takes place in our living room, I’m the most chill of the group. I love to climb and explore when I start to lose interest in the whole ‘chase and play.’ I just love to relax with you when the day is done! When there’s food on the floor one of my favorite activities is to bat the kibble across the floor, stalk it and chow down! I like to investigate everything, I’m very curious! This sweet boy has a laid-back personality and loves to curl up and nap near you when you're home. He's been great with other dogs, snuggling without any issues, though he might get a little growly if they try to share his food bowl. This is easily managed by feeding him separately from other dogs in the house! Taquito is mostly potty trained, but if left for too long, he's fine using a potty pad. He's not much of a barker-his calm and quiet nature make him an ideal companion. He was pretty underweight when rescued, but with some love and care, he's on the mend. Taquito is a total cuddlebug and would thrive in a home where someone can be around as much as possible to keep him company. Taquito is from Texas. Maybe he's just a guy who knows what he likes and expects nothing less. When he's tired, he puts himself to bed and when he sleeps he sleeps hard. It is best to wake him slowly. While he's still working on his potty training, Martin is a low-energy, easygoing guy who loves to cuddle and play in spurts. When he is happy or excited he does the cutest dance. He does well with other small dogs and adults, but seems to prefer the company of women. Martin needs some time and patience to adjust to a new home, but once he warms up, he's incredibly sweet. Though he might be protective and reactive to strangers, Martin calms down quickly and is eager to please. He's an escape artist, so he needs to be leashed even in a fenced yard.
