Lemon

* { font:inherit; }             Also known as Hercules, Lemon possesses a rather quiet demeanor compared to other male cockatoos. He is around seventeen years of age, and has lived in a multitude of different situations. Lemon plucks his feathers a little, but is currently recovering. He needs people to move slowly when they get to know him, as he is rather timid. It is for this reason that he needs to go to a home without children.  His favorite treats include grapes and carrots. Please visit www.rescuethebirds.org to start the application process.

Mia

JULY 2024 still available. Mia needs a person who is calm and very confident. Extremely patient and has LOTS of horse experience. She is physically sound but has no training. You can approach her but not halter her. Mia would be a great friend to another horse but is not yet fond of human interaction. She turns 16 the spring of 2024 and stands 14.1 hands. The person who adopts Mia would need to have previous experience with several horses and set reasonable expectations. She gets worried easily and would thrive with a routine. IERAL has a NO breeding policy.

Keeda

Keeda is a fun-loving and energetic youngster who thrives on companionship. She is a beautifully marked, 1-2 yr old, Pit Bull type mix who came to us from a county shelter and is currently residing in a foster home where she has made friends and learned proper doggy etiquette. Keeda has an affectionate personality and enjoys playing fetch and spending time with her human counterparts, children included. Though eager to romp, she ranks alpha within her canine pack and would be best suited for a home with submissive, yet playful male dog or as an only dog. She is petite in size (only around 45lbs) but has a huge heart and is waiting for the perfect family to come along to call her own. Keeda is currently residing in a foster home and potential adopters are encouraged to contact us via email or her foster mom Jan at jandalco@aol.com for more information.

Shelby

Shelby is a beautiful adult dog with limited socialization. She wasn't handled during those all-too-important weeks of her puppyhood, and she is fearful of strangers. For those of us whom she trusts, she graces us with a muzzle rubbed against the back of a hand. Even with us, though, she is cautious. We call her an "untouchable," although she isn't really untouchable. We don't know if Shelby will ever leave us. We don't know if there is someone out there with the skills, patience, and dedication to give her what she needs. What we do know is that she deserves the chance...and so we have listed her with all the other good dogs at Red Fern. If you are someone who can help her, please do. If you know someone who can help her, please share her.
