Desi and his sister Luci took full advantage of the opportunity and became the most entertaining doggy duo that has been experienced in a long time. Their frolic was frantically fantastic, their struts were swaggers, their steps were springs, their prances were promenades, their dances were discos, their hops were hoedowns, their romps were rebounds, their smiles were sparkling….. You probably get the picture. These two 6-month-olds are exuberant, playful, joyful, uninhibited pups which explains their names. It was difficult getting far enough away from then to take a picture. He is an indoor-only kitty and great with the litter box. We are helping Mr. Butters' current owner find his forever home. The "GRAY-DY BUNCH" "Here's a story, of 6 lovely kittens, Who were going to be killed at the shelter All of them had fur of silver, like each other The youngest one with pearl." Yes... that's right. Nico originally one of two stray puppies that came into Animal Friends care back at the end of January. After his stray hold Nico had been adopted but was recently returned due to the family's landlord no longer allowing dogs on the property. Here is some of what Nico's previous family had to say about him: - Very friendly pup! He does well meeting new people, though may bark at first or when he wants attention - Housebroken, does best being taken out multiple times a day - High energy level, loves playing fetch with tennis balls. Also loves stuffed animals, but will tear them up if not supervised - Was crated when left home alone - Responds to the commands sit, paw, other paw, nap time, goodnight, and spin - He lived with another dog and they were like siblings and did great together - Lived with a cat and was very sweet and they would groom each other - Has not spent time around children - Leash walked when outside Nico is current on shots, licensed, and microchipped. All dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are treated monthly for fleas/ticks and are on Heartworm prevention (NexGard PLUS). All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. His leg healed incorrectly but he's not in pain and he still uses it to pull your hand closer for more pets in the most adorable way. He's also able to jump up on his cat tree where he loves to watch the birds out of the window. Ashford is a mellow fella and loves all humans even babies. Ashford is FIV positive and doesn't really like other cats so he's looking for a family where he'll be the only kitty. He does okay with dogs. This medical condition is highly manageable and simply means that he's more susceptible to infection as he ages so dental care will be important. Rita is a charming tri-colored Hound who knows intrinsically how to show off her beautiful, perfectly proportioned physique as she struts about the Humane Society domain. Rita cherished the company of a variety of bark park squeakies: a purple kangaroo, a green tennis ball but especially a long-legged leopard who could fly invitingly through the rarified air above the park. Rita compassionately carried the leopard throughout the arena as she paraded proudly with her Harrier tail held high. 8-month-old Rita wears a constant welcoming smile even with a squeaky stuffed in her mouth. Rita is a friend of every dog she has ever met and really enjoyed the tour of the playground with her kennel-mate Juanita.
