Sarge Newton

Good boy, Newton! If you spend much time with Newton, you'll catch yourself saying that a lot. This young, handsome boy loves to fetch balls and will sit patiently until you throw another one. He has an awesome sit and is so gentle when taking treats out of your hand. And although he loves to chase balls, it really doesn't take long to wear him out. After a few runs across the yard, he's ready to lean against your legs for some pets or stretch out in the grass to soak up the sunshine. Providing just the right amount of daily exercise for Newton along with lots of love and Newton will be a very good boy! if you are interested in learning more about Newton, apply at the link below and an adoption counselor can reach out to you directly. https://www.bchumane.org/adoption-application/

Valentina

Hi there!! My formal name is Valentina, but my foster mom calls me Elgie (as in Little Girl or LG).Before I came to MPR I lived outdoors with lots of other dogs in a very rural area with little to no human contact. So, when I came to MPR I was very, very scared. All I wanted to do was escape. My foster mom was very patient, tempted me with treats and let me adjust at my own pace. Now I am ready to find a permanent home. Let me tell you more about me:I am always ready to go outside where I love, love, love to zoom around our fenced backyard. Sometimes I run so fast, my foster mom calls me Rocket. I would like to run and play with my foster mom's dogs, but they are older and not interested.Even though I like to run and am only about 2 years old, when I am in the house, I am very calm. My favorite thing is to snuggle with my foster mom's Yorkie. We are almost always in the same vicinity as foster mom. The Yorkie also has helped me learn how to be a house dog - like coming when called, staying off most furniture, etc.I love to sleep on the bed with my foster mom. The Yorkie and I snuggle right up against her and keep her warm on cold nights. I even jumped up on the lap of the house/dog sitter who was here when foster mom was away. The sitter said I am "a sweet little girl."My ideal home would have a fenced yard so I can zoom, another friendly dog for me to run, play and snuggle with and to help me continue to learn the doggie ropes, and a patient owner who will give me time to adjust to a new home.I weigh about 20 pounds and am spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, up to date on flea/tick and heartworm prevention and heartworm negative. My adoption fee is $200. Apply today at www.mpravl.org/adopt-a-pet/available-dogs! I look forward to meeting you! Button

Button was given her name because she's as cute as one! Button is curious and friendly. She loves following her sisters around on their antics or following her humans around as they do human things. Button is curious but has what I call "resting scared face", where she always likes a little bit startled or scared! She makes the face if you pick her up, if you're playing with her, if she's winding up for a big jump... Basically, if she's not sitting, she looks surprised! Button is such an interesting little lady who is sure to give you laughs day in and day out. When adopting a kitten, consider a second kitten to avoid "single kitten syndrome". Two kittens keep each other busy, get into less trouble, are better socialized and can keep each other company while you're gone. When introduced properly, most cats and kittens adjust well to children and other pets in the home. It's critical that cats have a safe place to retreat to if interactions become overwhelming and that all early interactions are well supervised. If you already have a cat, please talk to us about how to introduce them to each other successfully. All our cats and kittens are litter box trained, spayed or neutered, up-to-date on shots and worming and have been treated for fleas. They also are microchipped with a complimentary registration fee. The fee for all our cats and kittens is $175 plus tax, with a $50 discount for adopting a second cat or kitten. If you're interested in adopting, please complete an application at www.catspawjamas.org. Bobbin

Bobbin is a sweet little tabby and white looking for her forever home! Bobbin is sweet and full of energy. She loves running back and forth across the back of the couch. Out of her four other siblings, she was the first to figure out how to climb the baby gate and escape! She loves toy mice. Bobbin is a bit too small right now to carry them around, but I'm sure she will as soon as she's big enough. This spunky little girl definitely will keep you entertained day in an out, bouncing around to chase a toy or following you around as you sweep the floor.
