Iris is a wonderful 2 month old, purebred Australian Shepherd puppy who is gentle, sweet, and great with other dogs. She loves to play, but also enjoys taking cozy naps and getting belly rubs. Iris is unfortunately the product of bad, backyard breeding. She was bred as a double Merle which is known to produce blind and/or deaf puppies. Regrettably, Iris was born with both traits. The person that bred her, was planning to “dispose” of her because he thought she was unadoptable and so wasn’t worth anything to him. She seems to have some sight, but very little and is completely deaf. Iris however, does not seem to be aware that she has any defects at all. She eats, sleeps, plays & gets into mischief just like any other puppy. As expected, she has a phenomenal sense of smell and enjoys exploring and taking in all the sniffs. She’s able to find her way in the house from outside and she can find her foster mom wherever she goes. True to her breed, she’s is an intelligent puppy who is very trainable. She would make a great addition to any family, whether big or small! She is a loving and fun puppy who will bring joy to your life. Because of her condition, we would like Iris’ new family to either have experience with blind & deaf dogs or be fully committed to working with a professional trainer or doing the research necessary to be able to train Iris and offer her the enrichment she needs to have a full, happy, healthy life. Meet this precious girlie named Itty Bitty! She and her older brother BoBo were surrendered over to the shelter on April 20, 2024 when their owners health was declining and no one to care for them. Sad for these sweet kitties who are shy and out of the cozy comfort zone that they have been accustomed to. Itty Bitty is 2 years old, current on shots, and already spayed. She’s currently in the communal cat room and settling in nicely. It’s very common for cats be be shy and unsure with nothing familiar to them. Once back in a home I feel certain that Itty Bitty will come out of that shy shell and be a perfect cat. Maybe you have the most perfect home for this sweetheart? Maybe even her 10 year old brother Bobo too!? We have SO MANY cats & kittens arriving daily that it is hard to keep our Petfinder as up to date as we would like. So please, COME TO THE SHELTER and meet some of the wonderful cats that are up for adoption and open up your home to one or more kitties today! If you adopt a cat that is not already spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to help cover the cost of the surgery, and some vets honor the voucher 100%! Sage is the shyest of the siblings, with big baby blues that could talk you into anything. He is super sweet and though he's the quickest to make a run for it if you go to grab them, he loves sitting beside you once you settle down. He'll often treat us to a quick bath, giving your hands a good lick like his mama taught him. He's playful and loves to chase, ambushing ropes and balls from underneath the bed. When doing work around the house or squatting nearby, Safe will take comfort and shelter beside your leg or (when possible) underneath you. Once you earn his trust through love and treats, he'll be your best friend for life. Sage is one of a large litter and would do best in a home with another cat around to play with him. Have you heard the buzz about me, or rather the purrs? I didn't get here in a limo, all dressed up for an evening of fun and mingling. Actually, this was quite the opposite. I came in as a little one with both eyes crusted shut but this didn't dampen my sweet and affectionate spirit. WRANGLER is it two-year-old Pembroke Corgi. He was living on an Amish farm, but “not doing his business“. Everybody has to put in on an Amish farm and since he was not putting out, he got the boot. Wrangler is a little shy in new situations since he never got off the farm, but he is a pretty well adjusted boy. He took to leash walking very quickly and is a superb copilot in the car. Wrangler has been great with all the dogs and doesn't pay attention to the cats. He was raised with kids and did well with the toddler on the farm. Wrangler has been neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for heartworm and microchipped and ready to go home with you!
