Walker is the biggest lover you will ever meet - he demands attention and cuddles and will be your shadow all day!
Walker does have some behavioral issues that will need to be considered by any potential adopters, but nothing that cant be managed by patience and trust building! First, Walker really doesn't know the meaning of gentle or "soft paws". He does everything 1000%. When he plays, he plays HARD, and his play can quickly turn into actual fighting if not carefully monitored. His foster believes most of this is a mixture of kitten energy and lack of recognizing social cues. With patience and firm corrections, he absolutely can learn to be more gentle.
Secondly, he gets overstimulated easily in new environments and with new people. This is an easy fix if his boundaries are respected! One firm boundary he has already, is he does not like strangers picking him up or getting near his face. Once hes comfortable with a person, he LOVES being held and loves giving face kisses and cuddles. Hes an excellent cuddle buddy with people he trusts!
The bottom line, is walker will do best with an experienced owner who can take time to gain trust and learn and build boundaries!
Let's get into some good things- Walker is a goofball and loves attention!! He will keep you entertained and give you company all day, every day! He does love playing, but is also a couch potato when it's time to settle down and cuddle. He is a very curious cat, and so very smart! He learns things fast! He gets a little too excited around food, so within a day, his foster had him kennel trained to eat his food inside. Now he knows the command too well, and will walk in his crate anytime he wants treats or food, and will patiently wait inside his kennel at dinner time!
Walker does okay with other cats and would be okay with dogs after a proper introductory period. He does like children, but because he has a problem of being too rough, we would like him in a home without any kids.
Walker will need a calm environment initially, so he can properly decompress and get comfy. But afterward, he does well with any lifestyle. In fact, he thrives on chaos because he IS chaos, loveable chaos!!
