Bill is a strikingly handsome gentleman that
is ready for a foster or forever home.
He weighs in at 80 lbs.
He has high energy but can also be calm. He's a Shepsky that has the best of both breeds! The shepherd in him is guarding and alert, but the husky in him greets people easily. He is crate trained and potty trained.
Bill loves to be outdoors and likes other dogs. He would do best in a home with a constant human or canine companion, or both!

Adorable Mavi
Mavi and her brother Thibideaux were rescued when they were running through major traffic. Both are incredibly sweet and the vet thinks they are about 9 months old. Mavi is a great size at about 45 lbs and she is super loving and adorable. She loves to snuggle and super playful.
Mavi had hip surgery caused by an old injury from getting hit by a car. She has fully recovered and runs like the wind. Mavi loves people and greets everyone with kisses. She's already house and crate trained.

Bentley
Bentley is a 1.5-year old male Dutch Shepherd mix youngster (most likely Belgian Malinois) who was picked up as a stray by Stanislaus Animal Services. This poor puppy was so traumatized at the time of intake, but is now safe with rescue in a wonderful foster home, where he can decompress and begin to feel safe and loved.
Bentley is a sweet little boy, and didn't hesitate to come to our volunteer upon first greeting. He is now fully crate trained, and does well with other dogs. Initially, he was very shy when meeting other dogs, but has become a pretty confident pup, and loves to run and play. His first night in his foster home, he slept in his crate all night with no issues. He loves his people and at times wants to be right next to you, waiting for pets and lovin.
Bentley will require a committed and loving human who will make him a part of the family, providing the care and attention that every young pup needs.
Only older dog-savvy children 8 and above in an adoptive home will be considered.
It will be necessary for an adopter to have recent successful experience in raising a GSD, Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherd, or other large breed working puppy. An adopter who will begin and continue his obedience training based upon positive reinforcement is recommended, including positive steps to discourage unwanted behavior, to ensure he remains on the path of a well-behaved canine companion.

Carter has come a long way since the day that he was found in a dirty cage that was dumped behind a library in West Philly. He has gained weight, he's all cleaned up, and he's waiting anxiously for a safe home. MILO
Oh, Milo. This sweet boy has had quite a go of things. He was hit by a car back in April and was severely injured. He was picked up by one of our Animal Protection Officers who brought him to the shelter to save his life. Milo is lucky to have lived- he had significant wounds on his hindlimbs as well as fractures to his pelvis. At first, he wasn't able to walk, so volunteers moved him around the shelter in a little wagon. In the time since, he has healed SO much!! Here's the thing about Milo - through ALL of this pain and struggle, Milo has been the SWEETEST, most patient boy. He loves being around our staff and volunteers and is so easy and cooperative. He loves kisses, cuddles, and squishy snacks like peanut butter! But even more than those things, hell absolutely love YOU! Milo spent some time in a foster home where he did well with another resident dog, was housebroken, and slept in his own crate at night. Heres what his foster said: Milo is a big goofy teenager who would do great with another active dog. He likes chasing the ball and learning new skills. He is also a velcro doglikes to be next to you on the couch, at your feet in the kitchen, etc. He is very playful and likes his ears rubbed. Hes a great dog! Here's what else we learned about Milo in his foster home: - He loves to chase a tennis ball - He enjoys learning new skills - He likes watching TV - He loves to snuggle - He does great in the car And heres what one volunteer at the shelter said: I had a good walk with Milo this week and he was well behaved as always. Leashing up was easy, he did not take notice of other dogs, and he was polite on leash without pulling. Good job buddy! Now that Milo is quite literally back on his feet, hes ready to find a family of his own. When meeting other dogs in playgroup at the shelter, Milo has been playful and easygoing. Suzuki was a very shy kitten when she first arrived but now after 9 months of being handled and loved she knows that human attention can be the sweetest thing. I went above and beyond my duties as a mom. I was a outdoor kitten living by a busy highway. I became pregnant before my first birthday. I had 3 kittens and two of them died. I took 5 other kittens from my property and nursed them. Then I took on 8 more kittens and raised them up to a healthy age and then I said I was done with feeding the world (As I knew it). I am now a one year old kitten who raised 16 babies 14 successfully. I am positive for the FiV antigen and that doesn't mean I am sick it just means I was exposed and my body fought the virus and I am as healthy as any other cat. In fact my kitten is negative for FiV. Elfie
Elfie is a stunning female tabico! She is beautiful but needs some adjustment time and much more socialization. We are hoping to find her a home with someone who is experienced with nervous/under socialized cats or someone who is dedicated and committed to learning. She has had a tough time accepting people but has trusted some staff members to give pets. She seems to do well with other cats also, as she finds comfort and confidence in them. She is often curled up with her brother Claus or other cats nearby. Because of her weariness of people, we think it would be highly beneficial for her to go home with another cat or to a home with an established cat friendly cat.

Claus
Claus and his siblings were found living outside and brought to us for a fresh start. Claus is nervous with new people but loves pets once he trusts you. Eventually, he is so comfortable with you, he will force his way into your lap for pets. He LOVES to play- with both the other cats and toys. Claus can often be found cuddling his sister Elfie, his friends Bambi and Fara, or other young cats. Claus will need a patient adopter to help him adjust to a new home. Sweet Claus had to have whole mouth extractions during his dental due to the poor condition of his mouth, but is eating wet and dry food great!
