"What an awesome boy!" That's what I heard someone say about me, Bear. They also said I was very handsome and had a beautifully colored coat. But you can see that for yourself! I'm a gentle boy who has lived with adults, older kids and 4 cats! I'm house-trained and know a few commands also. I do have a bit of a timid streak and am not happy being alone for long. Wally *In Training*
Wally is a goofy and sweet 2 year old male Shepherd/Husky mix. He likes to cool off by dipping his paws in the kiddie pool. He is very friendly with everyone, including other dogs. Cats unknown but can be tested. **Wally is currently in a 10-week training program with The Greyhound Advancement Center. He is learning basic and intermediate obedience and fun skills! LAKITA
Meet LAKITA !
LAKITA is a gorgeous Border Collie and possibly Anatolian mix that was found wandering out in the country in West Texas. She was found by a kind person and brought into a high kill shelter and was placed on the euthanasia list when no one came forward to claim her. A volunteer at the shelter fell in love with Lakita and took her into her home to foster and find her a furever home.
She is around 2 years old and weighs about 50-55 pounds. She is doing well on a leash and is a quick learner. She has a sweet personality and loves to give hugs (she is amazingly gentle with her hugs)! She would do best with children over 8 years due to her size...she may unintentionally knock little ones down.
She has a beautiful light orange and white colored coat and cute white socks on all four paws. If you look really closely, you can see some freckling in her white markings on her nose and paws.
She is good with other dogs and loves to play chase and wrestle.

Lakita's adoption fee is $500 (which includes transport) which includes her spay, current vaccinations (rabies, 2 parvo/distemper boosters, and bordatella), flea and tick prevention, negative heartworm test, negative fecal, health certificate, and registered microchip.

MAVERICK
I am Maverick, I am your typical little brother. My big foster sisters get sick of me because, just like little brothers, I think I can do everything they can do. I hang on them and irritate them. They know that someday I will grow up to be Top Gun. I am pretty good at entertaining myself but I love to be with the other dogs.
My foster sisters and mom are trying to teach me that puppy biting isn’t cool. But my little teeth are really bothering me and I'm in that "teething phase". I am doing well with potty training. Mom tells me every time I go outside what a good boy I am. It makes me feel big. I haven’t had many accidents in my kennel. Only if mom is gone for too long. I have met a few cats, and they were calm, so they were ok that I have no manners. I just get so excited and get overzealous. I haven’t met any children yet, but they need to be old enough to know that I chew on everything but will hopefully outgrow it. I love toys, especially if they squeak. I love to cuddle when it's quiet time. I'd love to have a big fenced yard to play in and another dog to teach me the ropes.
Maverick is a growing male Posavac Hound/mix (our lofty guess of what breed he is!) who was was born approximately 4-12-24. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $500 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. Hi, my name is Rosie. I am two years old, and I am hoping my future will be rosier than my past. Living as a stray was really scary! I also had puppies to raise. I was extremely timid when I first came to my foster home. After I grew accustomed to living in a house, I became more confident, exploring my surroundings and taking short walks. Now I like meeting new people and having them pet me. I also enjoy hanging out in the yard. Once I finish my heartworm treatment, I would like a yard of my own to run in.
I prefer to be the only dog in the house so I can give you all my love. I am potty trained, sleep in my kennel with the door open, and keep my area clean at night and when I am home alone. I am learning quickly how to walk on a leash.
I overheard my foster parents saying that I will make a really good dog for someone. They tell me frequently that I am sweet, smart, and pretty. Every night they tell me they love me. I love them too, but I am longing for a permanent home of my own. I am ready to shower you with love and joy.

AMERISO
This big, handsome doggo is Ameriso! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy with ID on 7/19, and no one has come to reclaim him. Ameriso is a puppy at heart, very playful and goofy! He doesn't know his own size and would benefit from a kind and patient person who can work with him on his manners. Ameriso is quiet and polite in his kennel, but once he gets to go outside he becomes very animated and excited! The volunteers have discovered that he knows several commands including sit and down. If you have the time and energy for a young, strong, energetic boy please come meet Ameriso! He has a heart of gold!
Ameriso is approximately 1 year old, and he weighs 81 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he has been microchipped and neutered. He will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Ameriso waiting in run 832; his ID # is 660408.

Muffin
Muffin came to us as a young kitten in pretty rough shape. Not only did she have a raging URI and was horribly dehydrated and weak but she had also been run over by a car and her front right leg was completely broken. Luckily, with the guidance of an orthopedic surgeon, we were able to splint Muffin's leg and it has healed beautifully!
Muffin is now a playful, confident, incredibly socialized kitten! She loves other cats and dogs and thinks humans are pretty awesome too...they bring the food and cuddles after all. Muffin is full of life and love and we can't wait for her to find her forever family that loves all her spunk and resilience! This girl is absolutely adorable!
