While out speaking with community members, we get a lot of questions about the work we do. Here are some of the most common ones! The TNR method 🪤 helps reduce the number of stray cats born outdoors, improves the lives of feral cats and reduces euthanasia rates in shelters. It's a lot of work but it's beyond rewarding! Today we celebrate Albert — a truly special black cat who has stolen all our hearts.Originally trapped in eastern Washington as part of a feral colony, Albert was too ill and too sweet to survive outdoors. He tested positive for FIV and FeLV, but with love and care, he quickly blossomed into a cat who craves affection and attention. For the past 14 months, Albert has been a cherished hospice foster with Summer who showers him with love (and whose crochet projects he happily “supervises”). He has built quite the fan club among our community. It was no surprise Albert was chosen for February in the ACP 2025 Tomcat Calendar — the perfect Valentine’s Day kitty, handsome and full of love.Caring for Albert takes more than love — ACP’s support ensures he gets the medical care he needs, while Summer provides daily comfort, companionship, and joy. He’s also found a furry friend in Marshmallow, his playful foster brother and partner in crime.Summer says: “People often ask, ‘Isn’t that hard?’ when I tell them I hospice foster. And yes, it’s heartbreaking, but with community support I can handle it. I also tell people that the better I care for them, the more time we have together.” Albert’s time may be limited, but every day is a gift — and he still knows how to surprise us, like the other day when he quietly explored the hallway for hours before a neighbor helped him back home.Today, we celebrate Albert — and all black cats who deserve love and appreciation. 🖤It’s also National Nonprofit Day today - we honor the donors, volunteers, and foster parents who make stories like his possible. You can help keep these lifesaving efforts going with a donation today - alleycatproject.org/donate/ ... See MoreSee Less

Meet Biagi, our miracle kitten! Biagi had a tough start. Her mama was just a kitten herself—tiny, underweight, and not quite ready to care for babies. Tragically, her littermates didn’t survive, but Biagi had other plans. From day one, a bottle wasn’t something she was interested in, so her foster parents tube-fed her around the clock to make sure she got the nutrition she needed. Long nights and constant care became part of her journey—but her fosters never gave up. Her fluffy little body might be tiny, but her personality is larger than life. She’s been cared for in multiple foster homes and every foster who’s met her has fallen head over heels for her spunky spirit. Now at 3 months, Biagi is thriving. Fluffy, curious, and full of life, she’s proof of what love, patience, and teamwork can accomplish. Tiny in size but huge in spirit, Biagi is a true little miracle. Want to help more kittens like Biagi thrive? Your support makes round-the-clock care, food, and supplies possible for our tiniest fosters. You can donate at: alleycatproject.org/donate/ ...
