Suzette

Suzette was found at a convenience store on 1-59 in December, 2010, frightened and hungry. A friend readily collected her as she was friendly, seeking help, love and affection. I adopted her on sight. She has lived with me amongst eight other cats, plus others in other rooms. Her personality blossomed after only a couple of weeks. She was "bussing" with other felines, flitting around and felt "fit-in." However, she did not join my bed with the others, she wanted a personal invitation! I invited her to sleep with me and now she sleeps right next to my pillow, every night. Suzette craves attention and loves to be kissed, hugged and petted. She appears shy at the adoption center; however, she is a different gal in everyday comfortable surroundings. She is also a talker! Please come visit her at the adoption center. I know she will steal your heart, the way she has stolen mine.

Mama

Mama, previously known as Leona Helmsley, is a brown tabby cat with pretty yellow-green eyes. She was brought in to Buddy Foundation after being left outside prior to having kittens in foster care. Mama needs some time to adjust to you, since she has spent most of her life outside the company of humans. Currently she will shy away from most people, but if you work with her she will take treats from you and perhaps let you pet her.

Ricky

This handsome guy is Ricky. He was rescued from the side of the road when he was just a kitten. He is still very shy and skittish of people. He will need an owner who will be patient, understanding and will work with him until he is more confident. He would do best in a quiet home with no small children. He gets along well with other cats, so a home with or without other cats would suit him well.

BUTTONS

BEFORE CONTACTING US BY PHONE OR E-MAIL: Please click on www.catamatch.petfinder.comto read our Adoption Criteria and Adoption Procedure BEFORE requesting our application which we will gladly e-mail to you; you can also see our other 55 resident kitties up for adoption. Also, please state your location and note ours. Thank You! Buttons, born approximately June 2011, was found behind our local eatery by some customers who heard faint meowing. When they brought her she was in very bad shape, deydrated with a bad cold, her eyes almost glued shut with infection. Buttons was given three rounds of different medications and 2 rounds of homeopathic remedies since her arrival. She was also seen by our veterinarian and she is now 90% recuperated. It is possible that she will remain with a slight sinus blockage but this does not deter her quality of life whatsover. She eats well and plays like any other cat, probably even more energetic than our Mellow-D quiet boy. She is very affectionate and we want to find her a home that will continue to give her the necessary treatment if and when needed. We have used natural remedies on our kitties for over 20 years with much success. Oftentimes these are the best solutions for chronic conditions both for animal and human. Buttons has been spayed and vaccinated and we hope that she will find a good home with another kitty to keep her company because she loves her buddy Devon and would probably miss a kitty companion to play with. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT OUR PERSONALITY PROFILES:Our personality profiles are 95% accurate based on the cats' present environment; this can change to SOME degree in a new environment, therefore, our predictions on the best matched home are 80% to 100% accurate. As we have very limited manpower, please also note we are sometimes overloaded and cannot update profiles immediately.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

ZOE

BEFORE CONTACTING US Pls REVIEW our Adoption POLICY by clicking on CAT-A-MATCH RESCUE on the right hand of Zoe's photo and if you agree pls email us to REQUEST our ADOPTION APPLICATION..THANK YOU! ZOE was born about Jan, 2011 She came to us through someone who told us that they knew a man who had been feeding this little mom who had just arrived with kittens this past April and he did not want to adopt her. We took her in, with her 5 babies who have now all found great homes, and now Zoe deserves her forever home. Zoe is very loyal and more like a dog responding to your commands. She is also trained to be on a leash and you could walk her on quiet streets.. We believe that her ideal forever home would be one with a backyard where she can enjoy a little time outside on a leash and have her own CAT HOUSE OR CATIO! She is a typical queen and would be good as an only cat or with another male cat. She is spayed and vaccinated and very healthy.

Micki -good girl!

Micki is a wonderful dog who loves people. She has done well with kids in the past, but does not live with any children at this time. She does live with cats and does well with them. Micki can be very reactive/aggressive towards other dogs, and has gone through some training to help with that issue, but needs to be an only dog in a home. Micki needs to be placed in a home with people who have experience working with dogs who are reactive to other dogs. She must be on a leash or in a secure fenced yard when outside. Micki was born in 2011 and being a senior gal she does have some urinary incontinence now which is controlled with medications Proin and Incurin. Micki has been through several basic obedience classes, as well as some specialty classes to help her with impulse control. She is very treat-motivated and eager to please. Some of the commands she knows include "sit", "down", "stay", "come" and "place". She walks with a gentle leader, but is still working on heeling nicely. One of Micki's most favorite activity is to play fetch, and she would play it all day long if she could. She is extremely athletic and very focused on the ball. Micki likes to go swimming, especially if it includes fetching a stick. She also likes to play with toys, but gets a little too excited at the sound of anything that squeaks. While in the house, Micki is very well-behaved and is just happy to be with her people. She also loves to go on car rides and is a great co-pilot. MICKI NEEDS AN EXPERIENCED DOG PERSON AND FENCED-IN YARD/NEVER OFF LEASH.

Barn Cats

Sometimes a cat doesn't want to live indoors. Indoors only is the best thing for our pet cats, but if the cat is not comfortable around humans, a barn home is the perfect setting. Triscuit

Like my namesake I am a full of energy and sometimes salty guy. I am so full of myself that I found it difficult to hold still for my photo shoot. I almost turn myself inside out begging for some loving, virtually standing on my head and giving bodacious head bumps. As for the salty part, I am not a fan of other cats and can be downright cranky with them. As the center of one’s universe in a single cat (ME!) home I think I would be an entertaining, affectionate, and fun companion. DOB: 2009 Rec’d: 3/5/11 History: Triscuit was surrendered when the dog in the home became aggressive. Note: Triscuit is one of THE most awesome cats at CFC. Steadily holding down a very revered post at The Scratching Post kitchen area, he's a fast meeter and greeter and loves everyone he meets and ALMOST loves the dogs he meets more than the humans he meets. He's not a huge fan of other cats. He needs to be watched when he is "on task" and working in the kitchen area to make sure he is behaving in an appropriate manner towards the other loose cats. His ideal home would be stocked with humans who LOVE an interactive kitty (head butts and purring and figure-eighting) and also pre-stocked with a dog or too and also kids. Some might say Triscuit is actually a dog wearing a sleek black cat suit! Winter 2024 Update: I've moved. Joke on the street is that I've moved into the "official" CFC retirement wing where all the kitties are seniors or super seniors. As you know, I've been working at the Post kitchen for some time now. Finally, it was clear I was just tired of all the ruckus caused by all the new and very young kitties and asked to please be relocated. Amazingly, my request was processed very quickly and I'm now in the Senior Cat Room up by the main office. I am loving life here. I might be the most active in this group and it suits me just fine. I settled in super fast and felt right at home. I might have even let out an exhale of relief and satisfaction to have found such an amazing spot. When you're next in the neighborhood, stop on by and be sure to look me up at my new address. Fall 2023 Update: Our handsome, salty character Triscuit is back to his "old" self. When we changed out his cat tree to a newer model a few months ago, our good friend was not happy. We sensed a lot of pouting during the day as he spent most of his time in his overnight condo. In general, he was just more grumpy. Luckily, Triscuit has now accepted this new tree and is at the top of it eagerly welcoming humans as they enter The Scratching Post. One of his newer, fave humans is our Maintenance Mgr BJ. The two of them greet each other like old school buddies which just warms our hearts. Triscuit, as a senior kitty, has slowed down which is expected however he's still putting in a good, full day's work. He just got a new Seresto collar so that will help keep fleas away from our good friend. He's healthy and he's still grooming and grooming himself to keep his coat as meticulously clean as possible. Our days are really not complete unless we can get our daily Triscuit fix!

Emma

Meet Emma, born in March 2009, a lovely feline looking for her forever home! Emma prefers to be the only cat in the household, as she enjoys having all the attention to herself. She adores receiving gentle pets and brushes, although she does like to dictate when she's in the mood for pampering. Her independence adds to her allure, as she appreciates having her own space and making decisions on her terms. One of Emma's favorite pastimes is sitting in your lap, basking in the warmth of your affection. She's a master of relaxation and will happily spend hours curled up with her human companions. Emma also has a penchant for cozy beds, where she can snuggle up and enjoy peaceful naps. Despite her age, Emma is in good health and has plenty of love to give. If you're looking for a loving and low-maintenance companion who will bring joy and serenity to your home, consider opening your heart to Emma. Adopting this sweet old lady will not only enrich your life but also provide her with the loving home she deserves.

We are deeply grateful for help. Our veterinary references are available upon request. BANDIT is a beautiful strictly indoor apartment boy cat. Bandit is very friendly, outgoing, and affectionate and often likes to hang out near you or next to you. Bandit gets along with most other cats, is not terrified of dogs, and is getting used to the cat-friendly Black Lab in his foster home. Bandit's owner was accepted to a college in New York City where the dorms do not allow pets, so she asked us to take him in, not disclosing that he also has a serious medical issue for which we took him to our veterinary eye specialist and now are treating him daily for the rest of his life. Bandit has a small scar on one eye from a viral herpes attack, for which he receives Lysine and other supplements daily to ward off another attack. Bandit is about 8 years old and seems ok otherwise. He's litter trained and well behaved and interested in everything. Hewy & Dewy

Hewy and Dewy are about 8 years old. Hewy loves to lay beside you when you sleep and Dewy is like cat Velcro and wants to be on you all the time. Both are very lovable. Dewy is considered a special needs because he has some breathing issues which we give him some meds daily to help keep it under control. They had a hard time trying to adjust in a previous adopted home. Dewy hid for a week and a half and Hewy retaliated with behavioral issues. At their foster home, they both act like super lovable kitties with no issues but need an extended transition period so they can adjust in a new environment correctly. We are looking for someone who can isolate them to one room for a time before introducing them to the whole house. They are wormed, have flea prevention on them, they have all their shots (rabies and distemper), tested negative for FIV/Felv, and micro-chipped. They love to play with each other and crave human companionship. We would love to see them go home together but can be adopted separately. Cat vet refs required. We do not adopt our cats out beyond a 4 county area from Camden County. We cannot return out of area phone calls. Thank you for your understanding! No small children under 12 please. All cats and kittens in private home foster care require an approved application in order to show them. Email us at pawsforlife1@aol.com for more information on how to adopt these kitties. Sponsor us while we await our future home!
