Rocky

Hi, my name is Rocky! I am one chill dude. Like Pete the Cat chill. I think I was in a rock band in my former life. I just have that look about me. My sister Nala and I must be adopted together. We always, always hang out together - whether lying on the couch or waiting for treats. (There will be treats, right?) I do great with other cats, well-mannered dogs, and older kids. Nala

**WE ARE NOT A SHELTER. WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE: To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. Apply to adopt with our online cat application: https://fs17.formsite.com/waverlypetrescue/form4/index.html Please go to our web-site to learn more about Waverly Pet Rescue: www.waverlypetrescue.com Nala and her kittens were trapped and rescued by WPR on June 13th, 2019, since they were living under a porch in NW Waverly. Nala is now up to date on shots, spayed, and she also tested negative for FeLV / FIV. All of her kittens have been adopted. Nala is about 5-1/2 years old as of January 2024. She has been in a foster home since she was trapped and vetted. She has warmed up nicely but can still be skittish, even with her foster mom. Nala;s favorite time of the day is when it is time to eat, lol. She is a good eater. Nala enjoys looking out the window. She is shy and skittish so can only go to an experienced shy cat loving home. She will need to be set up in one room alone to settle into a new home. She might take months and months to adjust. She is worth it with her sweet personality. She also has the cutest little meow. Nala does well with other cats if introduced properly and given lots of time to get to know them. Basically, Nala needs a lot of time in a new home. If you have patience and love the shy skittish cats that bond deeply with their caretaker, then you can consider giving Nala a forever home. Will someone please adopt Nala and give her a forever home? $95 adoption fee. WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters. Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $200 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.

Elijah

Meet Elijah! This handsome boy was brought to the Ohio SPCA after being abandoned. He was very sick and required medical care. Now he's healthy and ready for a home! Elijah is a very carefree cat, he loves to lay in the sun and hang out on top of his cat tower. He can be a bit standoffish towards strangers, so you have to introduce yourself formally with some treats to earn his affection. Elijah does well with other cats and children that are respectful of him. If you are interested in adopting, please stop by during our open hours to fill out an application, or download it online through our website ohiospca.org. Rusty

Meet Rusty! He is a 6 year old boxer mix who is UTD on shots and is scheduled for his neuter appointment in January. He tested positive for lyme and is currently on antibiotics to treat it. Rusty is a sweet boy and loves attention from his humans. He enjoys the company of both kids and adults. He is content to just hang out and chill with them. Rusty is still learning his manners and basic commands as well as how to walk on a leash and will need someone who is willing to take the time to help teach him those things. He is crate trained and house broken. A fence for this guy is a MUST. He loves to wander around outside and explore. Rusty would do well in a home where he is the only dog or with a very passive female dog. Cats are unknown so a cat free home would be best. Rusty is available for foster to adopt right now as his neuter appointment is not scheduled until January. Once he has been neutered then the adoption process can be finalized.

Purrsephone- Special Needs

Please read Purrsephone's bio very carefully. She has significant special needs and requires a home that will be able to provide her with the continued quality care she needs. If you are interested in adopting her, please complete our adoption application and email it to us at mojoshope@gmail.com https://www.mojoshope.org/_files/ugd/d27466_fe8822bef8994d8a9c9eaf8a7c5c5a4b.pdf Purrsephone was born with a congenital condition in her spine that affects her ability to control her bladder and bowels. She must be expressed and stimulated at least 3 times a day. This keeps her bladder empty and her bowels moving along with keeping her clean. She was treated by our veterinarian who also consulted with a neurologist to assess her condition. She is on a special fiber diet and takes two medications for motility reasons. Purrsephone is 3 years old now. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and has been evaluated by her vet. She is a dynamic, playful youngster who is as fast as lightning! Purrsephone loves to frolic, leap, wrestle, and explore. The best time to give her free reign is after she has been expressed and stimulated. This prevents a mess around your home and also relieves her! She has been around other feline friends and has met the resident Chihuahua in her foster home. She is an affectionate lovebug who doesn't let her "disability" interfere with her daily life. What always ameowzes us about our rescues is their can-do cattitudes! Purrsephone does have feeling in her lower area so when expressing and stimulating her, that is done with care and gentleness. She is always rewarded generously afterward with snuggles (she loves to cuddle up in your arms). We use only positive based methods and want our rescues to have the most fulfilling lives. Purrsephone will require this type of care for the rest of her life and we hope that her home to be will be willing to give her the best life possible! We will provide you with our purrsonal training and guidance to help ensure her transition is smooth and successful, Our supports will continue for as long as needed/wanted by her home as our rescues always remain a member of the Mojo's Hope family. Enrichment and friendship building time is implemented every day in their foster home and we aim to end each "session" on a positive note. They are an exceptionally sweet and loving pair that would make a wonderful addition to your loving home. Mojo's Hope always wants to ensure that our rescues choose the most wonderful home possible. To help our adopters match up with the PURRfect pet, we are asking something unique for our adoption fee. First, we ask you to please fill out our adoption application. Our adoption fee for cats is generally $100.00. Instead of paying this adoption fee, we are asking our adopters to use that money towards preparing for the arrival of their newest addition. Here is a list of suggested supplies to get your home ready. •Food/Water dishes • Uncovered Litter Box/Litter • Scratching Posts/Cat Trees • Feliway (cat pheromone that assists with stress and behaviors) • Cat Beds/Hidey Spot/Cube/Kennel (foster home will provide at least one piece of bedding or a bed from the foster home to assist with the transition, having their own smell alleviates stress) • Cat Trees/Perches • Music (Through a Cat’s Ear is highly recommended, www.icalmpet.com • Enrichment Toys • Cat DVDs • Collar/harness/ID tag • Carrier Mojo's Hope provides a care package for each of our rescues when they go to their adoptive home. This care package includes food, bedding, toys, enrichment activities, treats, and a transition packet. The transition packet provides the adopter with a look into the daily life of our rescue and helps the cat and the family support each other during this process. Mojo's Hope has a very clear and strong position when it comes to cats keeping their claws. We are adamantly opposed to declawing. It is barbaric, cruel, and has proven to cause long-term negative effects on the cat’s body and emotional well-being. Both our adoption application and agreements have an additional clause that the adoptive family signs, that states very clearly that they agree to reach out to MH if behavior concerns arise and that they are never to declaw the cat. Please do not submit your application if you have any intention of declawing. Hercules

Hercules came to us with a collar embedded so deep it was not certain he would survive. After a long stay at the Emergency vet, he is now back with us, and he is a joy! Hercules is a polite boy who accepts to be crated, but loves to be with you. He is extremely affectionate when he opens up, but is initially afraid of new things and men particularly. He is a lady's special - we think he would thrive in a household with only women, with gradual introductions to men. Hercules likes to play with other dogs. He is silly and clumsy, so no seniors, disabled dogs or toy breeds. Hercules weighs a little over 40 pounds, and loves toys. He is potty trained as long as he is given enough opportunites. Hercules is already neutered! You can apply here, especially if you are shorter side! rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt

FRANCO

Hi. I'm FRANCO, a 4yo American Bully/Shepherd/Husky mix (seriously, they did a DNA test on me) and I weigh about 70lbs. I'm a young, athletic, and smart guy with a "working dog" temperament - brains and brawn! I am very loving, attentive, and loyal, and am looking for a confident experienced adopter who I can look up to. I like to take long walks at the park, go for car rides, and I LOVE splashing in water. Sometimes I wonder if maybe the DNA test forgot to include I'm part fish. Haha. I would love to go on a water adventure with you! Check out my own personal trainer who takes me out and does fun stuff like working the "lunge line". https://youtu.be/qakqEbGqKBg https://www.instagram.com/p/CZC4rD2PgvX/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CTnYYX3DS6e/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CYxeijXp4zZ/ https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/ddrfranco/ If you adopt me - the trainer will come work with us (depending on location) to make sure we get off to a great start! I'm crate-trained, house-trained, neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations. If you are in the Los Angeles area and interested in meeting me, please fill out our brief online questionnaire and our adoption coordinator will get back to you. www.downtowndogrescue.org/adoption-questionnaire Additional Downtown Dog Rescue information email: adopt@downtowndogrescue.org or call: 818-407-4145 Follow me on social media #ddrfranco

Pan

PUPDATE!! 24 November 2020: While Pan has improved, she will need an experienced home, and other dog(s) to help her become more confident and trusting of strangers. Pan has the genetic ability to be and do nearly anything a human partner could possibly want, but her upbringing and lack of training has left holes that will need to be filled. From everything we can see, the journey will be entirely worth it. ***** Meet Pan! Pan is going to need a patient and confident home with another confident dog. She was not raised in an environment which allowed her to gain self confidence or courage. Pan has been in our care only a few days but has already made tremendous progress. Pan is great with other dogs but is currently reactive and fearful of other people. She will be going through some training here until we feel she is ready for, (and we find her) the perfect forever home. Pan is located in Maryland, and weighs appx 45 lbs PLEASE READ our procedures for adoption prior to making inquiry regarding this dog. If you are looking for additional photos, video, or information on this dog, you will likely find that by searching our facebook page for their photo/description album. . Please see our main website at www.mabcr.org for more information regarding the adoption of this or any dog from our rescue. . Please note that while this dog is currently available, any dog on our site may have an adoption pending and may not be available to you at this time. The same dog may later become available if the adoption falls through. . Our website www.mabcr.org will give you details on our adoption procedures as well as an application for adoption. An application must be submitted prior to 'matching' an adopter with a dog as all dogs do not fit into all homes. We pride ourselves in our adoption process, we take the time to get to know our adopters so that we can place a dog with them that they can enjoy for years to come. . Please understand that we will not discuss dogs with individual adopters until after the application process is completed. . Our rescue does not have a public facility, therefore there are no visiting hours. Appointments to visit with the available dogs are made after the application process has been completed by our staff. . To assist any dog within the MABCR organization, please consider making a donation to the general fund or to the medical fund. All dogs coming into our rescue are fully vetted (s/n and core vaccines) prior to adoption. . Rescuing animals is quite expensive. If you are unable to adopt, but would like to help this, or any other animal in our system, please consider a sponsorship donation. For information on our sponsorship program, please contact Sarah at SLR@mabcr.org. . Thank you for your interest in Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue.

Carlee

My name is Carlee!. I'm very curious (surprise...I'm a cat after all) & very smart to the point that when my foster mom gets home, she often finds several cupboards & drawers open but I'll never tell her what I was trying to find. I really enjoy playing, especially chasing toys on a string with a human waving it around for me. Cuddling is just not my thing but I really do enjoy being petted even if I'm a bit standoffish at times. You can always get my attention with catnip, it's simply divine, and cat treats! I like to hang out above the action so I can see what's going on & sleep in a cat bed up on a shelf. I live with other cats in my foster home but I'd really rather be an only cat so I hiss & grumble at them all the time.
