July 2022 update: URGENT - FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!! Please contact feline.felicity@gmail.com if you are in the Cookeville/Algood, TN area and can help. Thank you. I was a feral kitten. The feral adult cats who came from the same place I did got released back there. The other feral kittens all got tame enough to be adopted, except me. I am a beautiful girl, but I am still very scared. I think I want to be touched and petted, but I still do not trust it. It will take a very experienced cat person to adopt me -- to be very understanding & patient and allow me to 'come out of my shell' on my own time. It might help if another kitty I am used to being around in the Feline Felicity house is adopted with me, like maybe Keres. (last pic is us together)

Timmy, Tommy, Talia (girl)

July 2022 update: URGENT - FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!! Please contact feline.felicity@gmail.com if you are in the Cookeville/Algood, TN area and can help. Thank you. We were feral babies. Timmy is most socialized. (I'm the dark tabby with white.) Talia is the girl. (I'm the black with a little white.) Tommy is least socialized. (I'm more white with dark tabby patches, and I'm also the biggest of the three.) We could all end up being sweethearts if someone who knows about earning the trust of ferals would give us a chance. It's just hard in this ever-changing, multi-cat, rescue environment. We need a mainly quiet, stable, routine environment with plenty of time for patient, tlc, individual attention, supportive encouragement, and gentleness & understanding without forcing us to come out of our shells when we are not yet ready. One of Feline Felicity's past rescue cats was a calico girl who was a lot like us -- so afraid & distrusting of most people. ... but after a while in her new family home with people who truly treasured her and wanted the best for her, she really blossomed. She would stand on her hind legs and watch Meercats, her favorite show, on Animal Planet. And she would curiously & happily demonstrate proper use of cat supplies and products that her people sold. She even became a cover girl cat on one of the magazines for their feline merchandise! So, there is always hope if someone out there believes in us! Could it be you?

CAT JERRY

Hello, we are Jerry, Jacob and Jenny. Our birthday is March 1, 2017. We have all been tested for leukemia and are negative, GREAT and up to date with all vaccines. We also have been spayed and neutered and are ready to go to our own family. We are happy, kids, playful and adventuresome and get along good with other cats and people. But most of all playtime with our own person. We love all toys and especially catnip pouches which our foster mom makes. We eat Premium dry Kibbles, use our litter boxes and will be a wonderful addition to your family. XXX (Jerry and Jacob are orange boys, Jenny is the grey girl). Luke is also a shy but sweet cat. He keeps to himself around people, but enjoys cat company. He enjoys ear rubs. Luke would do best in a quiet home, where he can adjust at his own pace.

Anakin

Anakin would do great in a home with other cats. He craves companionship with other cats. He is a shy kitty and usually likes to stay in his kitty bed. Anakin has been with us since he came in as a stray kitten. He has not been around dogs and he would hide from small children. Anakin would do best in a home with other cats, as he is a very social cat with others!

Solo

Solo and his littermates came to us as stray kittens. Solo has really come a long way and is really starting to come out of his shell. He is now coming up to people and letting us pet him more often. He is very curious about dogs when we take them in the cat room and wants to get close and see what they are about. I would not recommend him in a home with small children and he does not seem to like fast movements and people coming right at him. Solo is curious and a bit of a busybody.

Izzy (bonded with Archie)

Izzie is a sweet, cuddly and playful young cat. She never shies away from a good time and has so much fun playing with her siblings. She was found at six weeks with her mom and littermates and is now two years old. Izzy wants to be adopted with her brother Archie! https://www.petfinder.com/cat/archie-42439078/ca/gardena/carson-cats-rescue-ca2323/ If you are interested in meeting me, please contact info@carsoncats.com A5187977 www.carsoncats.com Just a reminder when you are adopting a pet, to take the time to meet the scared ones, the shy ones, the ones that don’t stick out to you. The ones that hide under their beds or blankets or litter pans. The ones that hiss, the ones that bark or shake and cry and look at you with confusion. The ones that cower. The ones with the boring colors or missing limbs. The older, the frail ones. The ones who seem beyond repair. The ones who seem to have given up. Because they are not…and they haven’t. They just need you. And sometimes you just really need them, too. - Carson Cats Mantra

Esmeralda

Esmeralda is a large, young and beautiful female New Zealand rabbit looking for her forever home. She was rescued from a lab with a #18 tag on her ear. This gorgeous and sweet soul is much more than a number who never deserved to be a part of such a terrible situation, as no other rabbit deserves to be either. Due to her past, Esmeralda is nervous in new situations and is especially fearful of sudden movements and loud noises. She will need a very quiet and peaceful home with patient and loving human attention. She is curious, energetic and an absolute joy to watch as she explores, runs and binkies around. She is spayed, has a great appetite and excellent litter box skills. If interested in adopting Esmeralda, please email nyc.metro.rabbits@gmail.com

Sunni

Sunni has classic torti good looks. But, none of the typical "cat-titude" that we can sometime see with a torti. Sunni arrived at the BAAC with a handful of kittens in tow. Her kittens have long since been adopted, but Sunni is still here. She has a favorite friend named Tom that she likes to hang around with in the cattery, but mostly she longs for a real home. Sunni likes affection from her favorite caregivers and loves the company of her favorite cats.  She can be a little shy, but it's just that she needs to to get to know you a bit.  If you have room in your heart and home for Sunni and Tom please fill out an application today!

Goose

Hi, I'm Goose. I had a hard start in life and was very isolated from the world in a yard with my siblings and parents, so I am tentative about new situations. I need a little time to warm up to new people, other pets, anything unfamiliar but I have enjoyed the company of a small dog, a cat, and the neighbor's young children at my previous home. Due to some neglect during puppyhood, I have some deformation on my front leg but I get around just fine, and my vet said not to mess with it because it's functioning and I'm not in pain. As is typical for my breed, I am quite intelligent. I catch on quickly to what you are asking of me and I am eager to please you. I am also very loyal and I will bond very deeply with my forever family. I would like to find a family that will let me live inside with them and give me lots of love and exercise for the rest of my long life. I hope it's not impossible. Will YOU consider me? [Goose is 4 years old and weighs about 80 lbs.] (1808/2206)

Earl

Handsome. Lovable. Fun-Loving. Snuggling champion. These are just a few of the ways to describe the wonderfulness that is Adoptable Underdog Earl. We recently had Earl DNA tested and found out that he's an American Pitbull Terrier / American bulldog mix. DNA doesn’t really matter when you’re as cool as Earl, though. One minute he could be the poster dog for a “Most Interesting Dog In The World” campaign and the next he looks like the biggest goofball ever as he chases a ball...or anything you throw, really. (Apples dropping from the apple tree will do just fine for him!) Earl is around 6 years old and is on the larger side at around 70 pounds. He loves consistency in his daily routines and sometimes needs a bit of time to warm up to new people and situations. He thrives on force-free training and a responsive human partner who helps him realize that making good choices is fun and rewarding. Earl lived with older children a few years ago, but he hasn’t been around kids since he entered rescue. Due to his tendency to have no idea how big he is, he’d probably do best with sturdy humans who aren’t easily knocked over and people who can handle having him in their laps. (Yes--he’s a lap dog!) Earl was previously adopted into a family with another dog, but after a few months he decided he didn’t want to share his space with her, so he’s now looking for a home where he can be the only dog. Earl enjoys romps in the yard, and he is always up for a good game of fetch but in general he’s a pretty moderate energy dog around the house. He can be a strong walker, so a family who’s willing to put in the time to teach him the joys of loose leash walking (or who have a securely fenced yard) would be ideal. Earl truly is the perfect mix of “Most Interesting Dog in the World” and “World’s Biggest Goofball”. If this is the sort of dog your family has been looking for, please contact us through Petfinder or email us directly at upstateunderdogrescue@gmail.com. You can also find out more about our commitment to force-free training and our foster-to-adopt process at www.upstateunderdogrescue.org. Earl’s vital statistics & forever family needs: - about 6 years old - around 70 pounds - neutered - up to date on vaccines - no outstanding health concerns - house trained and crate trained - needs to the only dog - looking for sturdy humans who want a sophisticated goofball to complete their family

SPANKY

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.rescued from BARC On euthansia list.I was found as a single kitten and turned into BARC during kitten season - not good timing, you know? Anyways, as luck would have it, I was put on The List. Strike 2! And then came this crazy catlady and pointed to me!!! I wasn't the only one, but I was really relieved!! So, I've been at my temporary home for awhile now, and it's time to move on. Word has it that I have a real loveable part to me!! I have learned that humans aren't half bad! Actually, pretty kind. So, I can be a love bug and snuggle with you. Just be sure to have a toy in your hand cause I start nibbling. That's with any kitty! I get along with other cats, probably with dogs, too, because of my personality. And love to play and play.... Come see me at PetSmart!
