Clarice is a 6 year old female chihuahua mix who came to us as a stray. At only seven pounds, she’s a tiny lady. Understandably Clarice is a little scared at the shelter, but she does relax in a more quiet environment. It also appears she wants to be a lap dog, and we support that! She seems to be a sweet girl. We have not tested Clarice with other animals—a meet and greet with any existing dogs in a potential new home will be required to ensure a good fit.

We are so excited to introduce you to Sassy and Bandit! Sassy and Bandit came to Sky Sanctuary when their owners passed away. The owner lived with his son who soon became displaced once his father passed away. Having only hours to secure a home for himself, he knew he had to find a safe place for his dads beloved dogs to go. Our hearts immediately broke for this family and we quickly welcomed these bonded seniors to the rescue! Sassy is a chihuahua mix who is about 13-15 years old. Bandit is about 8-10 years old and is actually Sassy's son. This bonded pair is so quirky and fill every room they walk into with laughter. These two have been through enough and we cannot wait for them to find a safe and loving home to spend their final years in. Bulbasaur is a little bit of a shy guy for starters and very sweet when he warms up. And we can tell you right now -- even if his pictures aren't proof enough -- the way to his heart is food. LOL. But he must burn it off with all his energetic play because he's actually on the small size, especially for a boy. That may be in part because Bulby is still in the recovery stage from his treatment for a serious neurologic illness. He's doing great now but we still have him on medications which, for the time being at a minimum, he will need to continue. We suspect he may have suffered some permanent damage: although he's great with the litter box when it comes to urination and even some pooping, he can't be relied on to get his poop in the box every time. But it's a quick pick up and flush and, we think, well worth for this glossy midnight beauty who's part Egyptian statute and part trash-talking all-American boy! Because he is such a playful fella, we think he needs a home with another fun cat companion; if you don't have one at home, check out his BFF Fast Eddy! Estimated DOB: 6/16/23
