Sonoma, AKA Hoppy

SONOMA Sonoma is a one year old hound mix, distemper and adenovirus survivor. The distemper has left him with a myoclonic jerk of his left front leg. This slows him down a little but not much! He LOVES to cuddle and lean up against his “person”. He loves to play fetch, and spends his mornings running around the yard with the other dogs. He get along with other dogs, cats and children...unknown. Filling out an application is the first step in the adoption process. If you have questions, the best way to contact us is to email suebergier49@gmail.com. We don't always bring all animals to our adoption events so check ahead of time to make sure the animal you are interested in is still available. Some animals listed may already be promised. Arizona Desert Rotti & Pals Rescue is a NO KILL rescue serving Tucson and the surrounding area. We do adopt out of area under the right circumstances. If you are willing to travel to Tucson to meet us, and to personally transport your adopted pet home, we may be willing to work with you. A home visit is usually required for the safety of our animals. We check the yard to make sure this little pup cannot escape, no predator can get in, and also look for hazardous plants. We do not adopt our dogs out unless you have a secured, fenced yard, it’s a requirement for the safety of the dog. At the end of the application, please include the type of fencing and the height of the fence you have around your yard. If you're interested in Sonoma or any of our dogs, please fill out a pre application at: http://www.azdesertrotti.com/html/to_adopt.htm Once you have filled out the pre-adoption application, someone will contact you about the dog to answer your questions and tell you where our Sunday adoption event is held. Our dogs are bathed, dewormed, vet checked, given their required shots, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Our rescues are homed with foster parents. They are fostered in homes so that we can tell you a little bit about their personalities, feeding schedule, habits, behavior, whether they get along with other dogs. We can tell you if they are crate trained, if they are leash trained and house trained. Most dogs need a refresher course on potty training when they go to a new home. They need to learn your routine, and it will be up to you to teach them. Even the most abused animals can be wonderful pets. It takes patience, love and good food, along with fun and commitment to the animal. Fosters work with these animals. They are a part of our families, while we are lucky enough to have them.

Kysar

Kysar is so sweet and loving! Great with kids, cats, dogs. Fully vetted and waiting for her forever home. Great with litter box. Would be a great family cat. If you would like to meet Kysar please contact our rescue 559-412-7226 We currently have in our adoption area at our rescue many cats all running freely in our adoption area waiting for there forever homes. We try to keep up to date our cats currently up for adoption listed. But we S/N weekly and try to add our updates of cats weekly. But there are still many cats we have up for adoption that may not have been listed yet. All our cats up for adoption come from High Kill Shelters that have a very short time at the Kill Shelter prior to being put down. By adopting from our rescue it makes room for us to pull more cats from the High Kill Shelters and keeping them from being put down at the kill shelter. We don't take in any private owned cats. Just shelter cats for there life at the Kill shelter is very short before being put down. Our rescue is a no kill rescue! We work hard to get our cats ready for adoptions. If you would like to meet all our cats up for adoption please contact us 559-412-7226. We are by appointments only! We are a rescue, not a shelter. We do not kill any animals here at our rescue. In fact, we do not advocate the killing of animals and wish all shelters would adopt a 'no kill' policy. Many of the animals that we rescue end up living out their days here, as some are not adoptable, which may be due to their age, medical issues, socialization issues, or inability to handle children or other animals. Some are also pets that have been unwanted by relatives when their owners have passed on. We try to facilitate the adoption of all animals referred to us that we feel would be good companions. Also, we try to help those that are in transition to find foster homes while they are seeking permanent adoption. You should know that we are very selective about which animals we bring into our rescue so that they will adapt well with the ones already residing here. We have wonderful kittens and adult cats ready for adoption. Please contact us to arrange an appointment. We work with many rescue groups in helping the public to understand the meaning of a feral cat and the TNR (trap and release) program. We also offer help to those people who are interested in starting a TNR program in their area. Feral cats don't need to be killed...and I can't express that enough! We do not support any program that kills feral cats. We are backed by the PETA and Alley Cats organization, and we work from donations and volunteer help. The very sad part of being in rescue... is that this is what we see every day walking into the shelter's knowing they will all die in a few days. Its hard to be in rescue and see this every single day over and over... it takes a toll on us all dealing with trying to save a life. Then the question is who do we save and who do we leave behind? Our rescue never leaves family members behind NEVER !!

Nago

NAGO is a GSD mix just under 3 years old. We suspect he has some Akita in him. He’s got tons of energy and would be a great partner for an active person or family. NAGO does pretty well with female dogs but is selective with other males. Because of his strength and energy, we don’t recommend a home with younger kids. He likes to play ball and go on walks. One of his favorite things is his blanket! Please visit http://www.coastalk9gsr.org/ to learn more about our dogs. Click on available dogs: https://www.coastalk9gsr.org/team to see further descriptions. If you are interested in me, please contact us at information@coastalgsrsd.org or call (858) 779-9149. Don't forget to fill out our online application: https://www.coastalk9gsr.org/applications. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.

Asher has blossomed in his foster home and is now a dedicated lap cat. He loves to be close to his humans and often sleeps on their laps or next to them. Willow

About six years old, green-eyed Willow likes people best. She has lived with adults, dogs, and cats in extended foster care during this past year. She wants someone to care for her and love her, but she is not always sure of her welcome. Willow is affectionate and loves petting, mostly on her own terms. Dogs are good, but other cats sometimes make Willow afraid and upset if they want to 'play' with her. She feels the same way about some people, too. In her foster home, Willow is free to eat, sleep, and retire as she desires. Willow weighs eight pounds and is healthy and up to date on her medical needs. Please submit your adoption application here: https://forms.gle/SV4tmm3te4PMP6H66 We do local adoptions less than one hour from our central New Jersey location. Email us for questions at AnimalAlly@gmail.com, or call us at 609-737-2380. Our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered and microchipped before adoption. They are tested for feline leukemia/feline aids viruses and receive age-appropriate shots, worming, flea/tick preventative, and any other necessary medical treatments they require to be well.

Shadow and Noelle (South Surrey)

Introducing energetic Noelle and the shy gentleman, Shadow. Noelle has a full grey coat and Shadow sports some adorable white toes on his hind feet. This playful pair are very close as they’ve grown up together. They are litter box trained. Cute (obvs), lively and sometimes mischievous, they enjoy chewing cardboard and are especially curious to explore new places. They love their secret (bunny-proofed) hiding spot behind their foster family’s washing machine. They eat well, enjoying a healthy diet of hay, pellets, and lots of fresh garden greens. They're ready to make your acquaintance over a cup of tea and some carrot tops 🙂 Please go to our website for adoption process info and to submit the online adoption application WWW.VRRA.ORG Rabbits are social animals – most crave the companionship of another bunny. Bonded bunnies groom each other, sleep, eat and play together. They keep each other company when you are busy or out of the house – companions against loneliness and boredom. Bonded rabbits form extremely close attachments and their happy, hilarious and sweet interactions will expand your heart and life. But don’t worry that two bunnies will ignore their humans – they will give you double the love and fun of one! The adoption fee is $150 for the bonded pair. We follow the House Rabbit Society adoption policies. For everything you need to know about caring for a bunny, visit the House Rabbit Society web site at: www.rabbit.org. We strongly encourage all prospective bunny adopters to pick up a copy of “The House Rabbit Handbook: how to live with an urban rabbit”, available from most online sellers (e.g., Amazon) as well at our shelter.

Sasha

You will be getting a package of HAPPINESS in adopting Sasha. This girl is just happy all the time, everyone is her friend. She really loves humans and she gets along with all dogs big and small. She is a curious girl who loves to go on walks and enjoys a car ride from time to time. She walks well on a leash and is housetrained. We do not have a shelter, she is in my foster home and I let the dogs out often so there are no accidents. She is treat motivated and easy to teach commands although she will learn just by you spending time with her. She really loves hanging out with her humans. Sasha is 1 year old and very playful. Right now she weighs a mere 75 pounds but will probably get a tad bigger in the next year. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative (yay!), rabies, dewormed and she is ready to go. Her medical records will come with her at the time of adoption. If you are interested in meeting her, please let me know and I will send you an application and then set up a meet and greet at your convenience. Thank you for your interest.

Link

Isn't he the cutest dog? He is even more handsome in person. You have got to meet him. If you have a dog that needs a companion/playmate then Link is your guy. Link is a 3 year old Border Collie/Cattle dog/Labrador Retriever mix and weighs about 40 lbs. He is up to date on his vaccinations, rabies, already neutered and microchipped. His medical records will come with him at the time of adoption. Link is being rehomed because the family dynamics in the home have changed with a move to another house and added children. While Link was adopted with a litter mate as a puppy and in the home with kids, the high energy of the kids has proven to be too much comotion for Link. He would do best in a home that is more calm but he is active. He really enjoys going on walks and would appreciate an outing on a regular basis. For the reason above, we recommend that Link only be adopted into a home with teens 15 years and older. His manners are very good and he is very into his humans, he loves to be loved and he is a routine kind of guy. He does not do well with change and he would have to take a few days to adjust to his new home. Overall you would be getting a great dog who loves to play and snuggle and he would be devoted to you. If you are interested in setting up a meet and greet I will be happy to send you an application. For further information, please call Sunny Prosser at 561-281-8635 or email me. Thank you.

Luna

Such sweetness all in one package - that is what Luna is. You may not be able to see it in the pictures because I took the pictures to highlight the beautiful coat she has on her. But she is a total sweetheart and very easy to get along with. Her coat is black with an unique greyish-brown in it and white as the under coat. Luna is 2 years old and weighs 55 lbs. She has reach her adult height and weight. She is house and crate trained but can be trusted if left in the houe alone. She does well in playgroups with other dogs and really pays them no mind when they bark at her. She loves to go walking even though she needs more training on the leash as she does tend to lead you on the walk but not in a tugging bad way. She is very treat motivated so a few walks and some treats will prevent her from leading. She does not SIT but will do it on her terms. Luna is very low maintenance and a calm and quiet girl. She even enjoys car rides. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, rabies shot, dewormed and tested negative for heartworms. Her medical records will come with her at the time of adoption. I will get different pictures of her as well so you can see how sweet and calm she is. I will be happy to send you an application to schedule a meet and greet so you can give this wonderful girl a great home. Thank you for your interest.

Cotton Candy / Porcelain

Hello there, I'm Cotton Candy. I was part of of a large scale rescue of 29 bunnies confiscated due to severe neglect and I arrived at SaveABunny with my 6 precious babies who were less than a month old. I was probably used as a breeder rabbit and was weak and very underweight, but I heroically took care of my babies as best I could despite the terrible circumstances. Thankfully all my babies grew up to be healthy and most have gone off to live on their own, but I'm grateful two of my daughters have stayed with me and we are available to adopt as a trio. We are Cotton Candy (white), Petticoat (brown nose), and Porcelain (brown star pattern on nose). To see all the available rabbits at SaveABunny, please visit http://www.saveabunny.org/rabbits/allavailable

Charlie

Hello, my name is Charlie and there is some confusion about my history, but a very nice lady saved me from the pound last year, only to get very ill herself, and ask the folks at Forte to find me a new loving home. I can't tell you what my life was like before that, but I'm very friendly with all the people I meet, and I loved having a bath the day Forte got me, so I'm pretty easy to care for. I have lots of energy and love long walks and running. I might have a little Char Pei in me, but who knows; I'm just 100% lover and that's all that matters. If you are interested in meeting this pooch, please download the Adoption Questionnaire (farescue.org/pdf_files/questionnaire_canine.pdf), fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions. [Charlie is 6 years old as of April 2023 and weighs 55-60 lbs.] (2104)
